@BMWRider1080 Have to say I agree with you as Arnold had to be one of the biggest but the movie was as corny as most of them were. I think Lou was the best looking example of what we have come to think Hercules should look like but again, a far fetched plot but a believable performance. My favorites for the character though would be Lou Ferrigno and Reg Park. They just had that great look of size, believable power and the face and beards to really give them the "look."
lol classic roman/greek movies kicked the ass outta todays movies by a longshot i loved watchin them when i was going up ^^ im 24 now and even tho they are cheesey at times there still way better than the shit hollywood brings out now lols.
@icecreamrulz420ya Samson Burke may not have been part of this little vignette, but Yeah, he WAS jacked in that movie and made a lasting impression on me from the first time I saw the movie. I could not beleive that someone could crack walnuts by flexing his arms.. As a kid I sure beleived it. I wonder if there really is anyone who could do that! Thanks for reminding us of his performance.
@sdarms111 Good guess with Ron Ely.. But the muscled, vascular arms and chest belong to Gordon Mitchell. He was always one of the most ripped up sword and sandal stars. I would say that Reg Park took the cake for big muscled and beefy.
@SUPERFALCONCLAW To be more specific Hercules AKA "Heracles" his original name in greek mythology, was worshipped in BC, far before christ so you might wanna check your facts.
at 0:52 that guy did not play Hercules on the TV show he played Hercules side kick Iolaus which was played by Michael Hurs. Hercules was the tv show was played by Kevin Sorbo. No big deal just wanted ot point it out was a big fun of the show LoL
I sure wish it had some sound too but alas, we have to take what we can get when it comes to these clips! I did not create it. It was sent to me like this.
as I have mentioned earlier, I am not the author of this clip. Someone sent it to me. There are some missing stars but what can I do? They were all worthy of mention but some were much better built and in the image of what the public views Hercules to have looked like.
I think Ferrigno made the better Herucles physically. The movie was terrible though, and it wasn't even Ferrignos own voice, I think that hurt it allot. They should of had Ferrigno play hercules in Clash of the Titans, along with Persius. Or even in the Jason and the Argonauts remake. He would off been perfect. lol
theres also another movie i am looking for, not sure if its hercules but i think so.
all i can remember from it was that he was in some prison cellar, the guards ask him if hes really strong, then he tears down the colum keeping the prison together anyone know what movies? i am gonna get em as soon as i get the names;)
Reeves had access to and used dianabol, of course Arnold and Lou used not only large amounts of dianabol, but large amounts of deca and other anabolic steroids, Reeves was my second fave.

I think Ferrigno is second only to Reg Park. But Lou's size alone fulfills the fantasy of what a real hecules would look like. He does make the tests of strength look more credible at times with those huge arms. He looked ripped too in his role. Park was a huge man but like many bblders of his era, they would pale in comparison to Arnold and especially Lou.
I love this video! So hilarious that every Hercules film has ole' Herc struggling to lift something. Although some actors are better than others Reg Park vs Lou Ferrigno. All of these films are entertaining.
Hercules in New York with Arnold 'Strong' Hilarious fighting a bear is probably king, while Lou Ferrigno's Hercules should be avoided like the plague for horrible everything.
The guy at the end is Gordon Mitchell. Definitely one of the best built actors to take the role. Many guys did that scene but he would seem to be the most vascular and has one of the best sets of biceps to show off in that strength contest!
Wow who is the guy at the end? That was intense seeing him pulling I assume either horses or a group of men on each side! Any more clips like that one around? I love the clips that have Hercules doing feats of strength -especially if it's against other normal men.
well yeah we can see reg park just one or two seconds and near from the end steve reeves that makes two of the most important hercules actors and scott gordon was missing..what a shame! =p others were ridiculous
The first and real Hercules was Samson, the hero and judge of Israel. Read Judges in the bible, and Hebrews 11, Samson is a real hero of faith for ever and ever
Arqueology, ancient writers, history, cumpliment of the biblical prophecies, the life of the jews, and the testimony of millions of true christian men and women in the world and trough the ages confirm the veracity of all the Bible, his protaginists and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

supposedly the bible is a fictional adaptation of the many Egyptian god stories. i havent confirmed yet but i have no doubt since the bible is very funny and contradicts god's wishes
There are more tran 456 prophecies in the Ancient Testament that have fullfillment in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. The words and teachings of Jesus Christ there are only in the Bible, no in any egyptian histories. It´s imposible that the egyptians speak about the history of the jews and his God. The egyptians had several gods, no one God:YHWH. The arqueology confirm how polytheistics the egyptians were. The Bible speak about one God and his relation with his chosen people: the jews.
Yeah, right. The oracle at Delphi fulfilled oracles, too. Please get over yourself. Seriously, there WAS a world before your Jesus. And it was better than the one we're in now.
There are many ancient civilizations, but all they died. Jesus Christ show us a wonderful life by Him. He will come again as King of Kings and Lord of lords. His prophecies of Matthew 24, before his Second coming, have fullfillment today. Soon the world will experiment the millenium of Jesus, after He destroy the armies of the antichrist in the Battle of Armaggedon. The peace and justice that the world wish, by Jesus Christ will be here. And then, after the last battle, will born the New Earth.
I don't remember reading anywhere in the Bible where Jesus warned about the Antichrist or Armageddon. Seems to me he spent his time healing and comforting people and showing them love. Thank God for sending all those other guys to add to the Bible and make sure people didn't get the wrong idea about Christianity and neglect all that sexy destruction.
Revelation 1:8, 11 (speak Jesus Christ); all the chapter 13 of Revelation is about the antichrist (the beast), Revelation 16:16 (Armnageddon) Your Bible.
Yes, but who was the writer of Revelation and who was the translator? Revelation is believed to be the work of a Jewish prophet, writing in Greek to Jewish believers, many years after the death of Jesus. Human beings translated writings and compiled the Bible. I'm not questioning Jesus, but things done after his death by other individuals, who were as human as you or me. Some visions come true; others don't.
All the Scriptures are inspired by the Holy Ghost (1 Timoty 3:16) The ancient manuscripts of the christianity there are more than 24000 (the second is Iliada with Homer with 643). The most early manuscript was wrote 25 years after Jesus death. The Septuaginta was compiled in 250 b.C. is same at the actual Bible, in the Ancient Testament, and the found of the manuscripts of the Death Sea in 1947, hidden by 2000 years are equal in their letters and phrases with the actual Bible.
I don't mean to attack your faith and I think the messages of Jesus are valuable for everyone. But you have more faith in the human beings who produced the Bible than I do. I won't nitpick about which parts don't sound very inspired to me, but I try to take what is most meaningful and good and apply it to my own life, while allowing that the Christians over the years, inclduing those who produced the Bible, were as prone to mistakes as anyone else.
We don´t have to put our eyes in the humans, including the christians or the man or woman useful by God in the past like the writers of the Bible. We need to put our faith in the only man in the world and trough the ages that live a life without sin: Jesus Chist, God himself in a human body God call to imperfect man to announce the coming of the Christ, the Messiah. David and Moses were homicides Abraham lies Mary, the mother of Jesus have moments of incredoulusly but all they repent of his sins
A wise lady friend of mine, who has since passed on, used to say that most Christians worship the messenger instead of paying attention to he message.
Your friend is correct: Thus said the Lord; cursed be the manthat trusted in man...and whose heart departed from the Lord (Jeremiah 17:5 Your Bible) Our faith have to put only in the person of Jesus Christ, if I put our faith in a brother in the faith or other person we can sin of idolatry before God, and late or early that person will fail to us.
My view no is only in the 21th Century, too I see the future, in the Eternity, in the New Earth, and New Heavenbs, in the companion of million of saint and powerful angels, in the Heavenly Jerusalem, with a resurrected body. Jesus Christ will return soon as King of kings and Lord of lords.
there are a couple of Tarzan clips tossed in there, including the first image, it's Herman Brix (aka Bruce Bennett) from the New Adventures of Tarzan (1935)
I hate to be picky, but in the only clip of the greatest Steve Reeves, the greatest Hercules of all time, at 3:32, he's not even playing Hercules ... that scene is from "Goliath and the Barbarians"; and, the scene at 3:53 is a blinded Samson destroying the temple.
My # one favorite muscle hunk is KIRK MORRIS. he is the most handsome actor among all the muscleMEN. U should see KIRK restraining 4 ( FOUR)horsesin his best movie "Triunf of the son of Hercules, the" ( aka "IL TRIONFO DI MACISTE". btw/ his real name is ADRIANO BELLINI
Where is Kevin Sorbo the Legandary journeys of Hercules tv show from the 90's or young Herc both were equally bad but because I am a dork I loved them anyways. Ha ha
Can;t take the credit for it, a friend of mine sent it to me and surely he got it from someone else, but all that matters is that it is here for everyone to enjoy!
Actually I put it together a couple of years ago, and posted it on GMpics! Glad it's doing the rounds and everyone's enjoying it! Not all the clips are actually Hercules of course........
WOW! the internet has sure made a small world even smaller! I can't beleive you are the creator of this great clip. Thanks for doing it and I hope to see more of yours someday.
AHHH Yes..I remember him. The really first hairy Hercules recently featured on tv. He would qualify as one of the hottest and realistic actors so far. I guess he wasnt in this clip since it was made a while ago and the original author probably wanted the "classic" players?
That explains why I didn't see Kevin (I forget his last name...anyway..yeah
And I checked that pic of Paul, great...He definitely looks like he could play the part of Herc...unlike some of the other guys I saw in the clip...some of them looked so weak that it'd be easy to tell they had help from Holywood in creating those "god-like strength" feats....

My # one favorite muscle hunk is KIRK MORRIS. he is the most handsome actor among all the muscleMEN. U should see KIRK restraining 4 ( FOUR)horsesin his best movie "Triunf of the son of Hercules, the" ( aka "IL TRIONFO DI MACISTE". btw/ his real name is ADRIANO BELLINI

yes u r right the final one was GORDON MITCHELL. But I think he is very sexy and his "ugliness" makes him hot !!!

I'd have to say the best 2 were Steve Reeves and Lou Ferrigno. Anyone else?

Where is Kevin Sorbo the Legandary journeys of Hercules tv show from the 90's or young Herc both were equally bad but because I am a dork I loved them anyways. Ha ha

Lou had the best body (and arguably the worst movie!) Reeves was the handsomest.

Nice clip. I liked Steve Reeves the best. Mark Forest was a very nice looking Hercules, what a hunk. Paul Telfer not shown here was another hunk.

AHHH Yes..I remember him. The really first hairy Hercules recently featured on tv. He would qualify as one of the hottest and realistic actors so far. I guess he wasnt in this clip since it was made a while ago and the original author probably wanted the "classic" players?
biceptaper 5 years ago
That explains why I didn't see Kevin (I forget his last name...anyway..yeah
And I checked that pic of Paul, great...He definitely looks like he could play the part of Herc...unlike some of the other guys I saw in the clip...some of them looked so weak that it'd be easy to tell they had help from Holywood in creating those "god-like strength" feats....
