Few black metal bands are actually satanic in the sense that they worship something. The typical kind of lyrical satanism is one used to portray a form of hatred or rebellion against what is considered to be societal norms, or just individuality.

Religion is bullshit anyway - and if there's one thing I've learned throughout the years, it's to not interpret black metal lyrics literally!

And satansim isn't even about hatred to social norms; if you read the codes of satanism, it's actually not that weird. It's just more distrusting of people adn that you should look out for yourself. Sometimes, it's actually the right thing the do, I think. Some people may take advantage of other's good nature.
