You'd be screaming too if a driver decided to ram you with his car while you were on your bike. If you watch the raw footage, there isn't any talking, just assault. Bryant use his car as a weapon to teach a cyclist who moved in front of him a lesson. Last time I check, the law didn't permit drivers to use their vehicles to push aside pedestrians or cyclists, even if the light had just turned green. Looks more like Bryant was the drunk one. The cops didn't even give him a breathlyzer. Hmmm.

The obstruction of justice is a tough call. I was basing that on reports from eye witnesses that he passenger disappeared after he parked at the Hyatt around the corner from the accident. Police said she came forward some time later. It's not clear if that mean she called them, or if she was there the whole time. The woman in the video footage of him in the car is chubby and has light brown hair, while his wife looks thinner and dark brown hair in photos. She may not even be with him.

If you see the footage of him sitting in the police car, you don't see the face of a guy who feels bad about what just happened. He looks very irritated, like he's thinking 'it's all that cyclist's fault that I'm sitting here when I could be somewhere else'. No remorse, except after his PR firm was hired and he hold of a nice suit, shaved, and then stood in front of the media to give condolences to Darcy's family. No bail judge. I hope they suspended his driving license. It could save lives.

I guess you haven't seen the video where the cyclist passed Bryant's car on the driver's side and Bryant moves up slowly at fast and THEN speeds up and rams the kid's bike knocking him on his ground? I am not sure that is someone did something like THAT to me, I wouldn't respond. If YOU say different, I QUESTION that. That fact that the young man was drinking probably however made HIS reaction worse. the fact that Bryant was not drinking makes his actions very questionable.

People assume that Sheppard was drunk at the time because he may or may not have been consuming UNKNOWN amounts of alcohol over an hour before the incident. It's an allegation. Only toxicology tests will show if his blood alcohol was over the limit. If Bryant hit his bike and didn't remain, he already broke the law. Sheppard was within his rights to pursue and make a citizen's arrest, regardless of whether he had alcohol in his system. We don't know what Bryant had in his system.
