This is the most incredible short program I have ever watched. Patrick Chan is incredible. He reminds me of Paul Wylie in his earnest heart felt skating.
Great program by Patrick Chan, one of my favorites in fact. Love it when he changes direction right after the triple lutz. He's a phenomenal skater, wish he did better at the olympics :/ but evan was great and i'm not sad he won.
In comparison to his short program at Four Continents, this performance lacked a certain fire that gave him that tremendous score in Vancouver. The commentators said that he looked really confident, and maybe it was so confident it was seen as complacent, not to mention the edge deduction on his combination. It wasn't on an inside edge, and even the quality wasn't the best he could do. This was a clean performance; judges weren't buying it and didn't think it was as inspired like times before.
Now that he has the quad, Chan is virtually unbeatable!!!

Say what you will about the rest of Patrick's skating, from the knees down it doesn't get any better than this.

I like the program. gorgeous choreography and beautiful footwork.

And Lysacek owned Plushenko. And, overall, the ladies owned the men.

@chihiro602 Well he was unbeatable last year. But your comment was from two years ago, so I guess you're right.

he lacks the passionate intensity exhibited by certain skaters as well as quad and combs.

Yes, it was good, but a quad jump, like salchow or toulup was/is missed!!
In my opinioin: The new olympic champion should do quads ;!!! (Look at the last olympic men champions) Everyone has done it!!!

I don't understand the commentator saying he's not engaged by him. That performance was gorgeous!
