  • I have know idea about what 系 is can some one tell me

  • @ddzer As you have the Kanji digitally, you can just put it into jisho dot org.

    系 けい 1: system; lineage; group;

    2: (Matchematical term) corollary;

    3: (geological) system (range of strata that correspond to a particular time period);

    4: (taxonomical) series

  • Can this pull over 9000 carriages?

  • hehehe travelin to japan, my fkin arse man its in ruins!!! SUCK THAT JAPAN!!

  • looks gay.........AND STFU about chinese crh's

  • OH OH this train is so beautiful I just want to whip my penis out and have sex with....I - I - I mean on it

  • That is the most beautiful train in the world

  • 33 people are SHINA wreck train supporter I guess........

  • Nice train! I visited japan in 2009 and travelled in the shinkansen a couple of times, very nice trains. I absolutly love japan, I want to travel again soon :D

  • Dear santa.

  • I love Japan people for many things, most of all are animes and beautiful trains. Dear Santa please let Blugaria's BDZ open their eyes and imort something this beautiful !

  • it is a very VERY nice looking train but steam will always be the most beautiful

  • For ME, there are the most beautiful trains!

    Br 44

    Br 42

    Br 24

    Br 86

German Power and Quality! NO snake train! No stupid design! This train hasn't even got an identity!

This is my Opinion, and I accept yours.

  • @TheMomo1501

Too bad. Shinkansen 500 was designed by Alexander Neumeister, a German industrial designer!

  • Gay looking train cry 380a looks much better and so are British trains

  • How can u say it's beautiful? it's a BIG SHIT! Just one example: look at the headlights! They are too close to the conductor's seat. So, when there is fog, all he sees is just 2 beams of white light; nothing else. A good train must have at least 6 headlights, in different positions. This way, on foggy whether, the conductor can still see something, and the beaming effect gets cancelled... And this is just one example.

  • @supremeon1 If you can do better why dont you design your own ******* train *******

  • Comment removed

  • @supremeon1

    Conductors do not drive trains.

The conductor's station on an 8-car Kodama is in carriage six.

And it doesn't matter where the headlights are located on the locomotive -- as a train driver, I can tell you that they all -- headlights, visibility (ditch) lights, marker lights, classification lights, number-board lights -- get reflected back in the driver's face by the fog

  • I LOVE IT'S DESIGN! WOW

  • how wide is the tracks?

  • @cyther39

    Standard gauge.

    (Japanese non-shinkansen are narrow gauge)

  • @PiedASP

  • I would definitely put my trust in Japanese engineering. Their cars are the most reliable in the world. Germans are not far behind. Isn't the Chinese system of German manufacture?

Do love the howling noise the Eurostar (TGV technology) makes as it rushes through the Kent countryside.

  • @sevvendee7 yes the chinese trains are based on german "transrapid" and "ICE" trains, and some are also based on japanese trains

  • Most beautiful train ever :) For the Chinese and US guys here, i have only one comment, first learn, then do it better, until that time, ....schut up ! Oh and best way to do it better is a Maglev !

  • this train is rubbish and looks stupid the crh is the best suck on that tgv lovers!!!!

  • @samliist Chinese train sucks.

  • Comment removed

  • if i put batteries into it then would it run faster?

  • I prefer the German ICE

  • No its actually flying scotsman

  • I want this one in Thailand too T_T. JR Please come to help Thailand to build high speed rail system. China plan to build high speed rail via Thailand to Singapore. But I want Japanese bullet train more than low quality China bullet train..... >_<

  • Wish we had that in the usa.

  • i like trains.

XD

  • i agree, one of the best looking japan has made, its a shame the 700k its older brother if you like, isn't as good looking, its nice and comfy though =)

    @Godkami1978 im half japanese =)

  • I am a Japanese.

I believe Shinkansen 500 is beautiful!

In addition, I heard that the Shinkansen 500 was desighned by European desighner.

  • Sexxxxy!!

  • Japan worlds best technology and best quality...dear Japan pls help India to start Bullet train service

  • @dashish80 I THINK THAT THE BULLET TRAIN IS ONE OF THE LAST THINGS THAT INDIA SHOULD ASK JAPAN FOR . INDIA'S PROBLEMS START AT WORDS SUCH AS : "FAMINE" , "POVERTY" , "EMPLOYMENT" , "INFRASTRUCTURE" AND SO ON.......

  • @WMUWWWWUF whtever you r right we r working on those issues but .....sarcasm????

  • @WMUWWWWUF DUDE YOU JUST NEED TO MIND UR OWN FECES EATING BUSINESS RATHER THAN COMIN OUT HERE AND SHOWING OFF

  • @WMUWWWWUF Infrastructure, which includes railroads, which is a medium of travel for bullet trains, which is a form of public transportation for a [large] country in which I imagine a vast majority of people can't afford to buy their own vehicles. Oh yeah, did I mention that bringing such a service to India could bring many more jobs for building high speed tracks, maintenance, etc.., while potentially being a great source of revenue since India has the world's 2nd largest population?

  • @dashish80 don't forget Germany!Germany is besser as Japan!because they have better technology and better Morality

  • Operating since 64' and not one accident, now that is what I call safe. Japanese rail is the safest form of travel ever.

  • It was designed by the way by Alexander Neumeister of N+P Industrial Design. Look it up on the web..there are many nice projects to check out.

  • heck yeah!! :D imma join JR east Japan company ;) but I might start driving山手線

  • I prefer the shinkansen 700

  • I never got a chance to see one, they run along the Sanyo shinkansen only.

  • @4izm0v There's only 9 of them which did run from Tokyo to Hakata on Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen as Nozomi until feb.28 2010

  • @AF401 I came to Japan a month and a half later. And now with the N700系 running all the way to Kagoshima on the Sakura and Mizuho services, I don't see the 500系 staying around any longer.

  • @4izm0v It's running Kodama services Between Shin-Osaka and Hakata. There's a timetable of JR west that which shows which departures are 500 series.

BTW there's videos here on youtube that shows 500 series in the past month and this one. ^_^

  • why is everything in french?

  • @Clubpenguinrocks4455 because the guy who uploaded this vid mostly shows french trains, but there are some jap trains shown there

  • England is getting this

  • I like the 500

  • Looks like a giant snake!

  • @bergen747 some japanese call this the big eel(UNAGI)

  • A phenomenal train - but unfortunately, NOT comfortable to ride. I rode them twice and found them very cramped on the inside, even when seated in the middle (B) or aisle (D) seats in 5-abreast Standard Class.

What I find remarkable about the companies operating the Shinkansen is that they always look for ways to improve. The N700-series has the speed of the 500's, an unprecedented (for Shinkansen) tilt system for smoother curves, and an unprecedented level of comfort.

  • The shinkkansen is the landmark, it is the greatest train ever.

  • Sorry Shinkansen, not today!

  • Unfortunately, this train has been removed from service this year and we cannot see it anymore... It was a short lifetime.

  • just give him a couple of wings and galaxy 999 will become REAL!

  • i feel like such a dumb american

why won't we invest in these things?

  • @vilhelmcasp I think the reason why the US doesn't have these like Japan or France is because there are so much more miles of track in the US that the cost would be astronomical to modify all of it. Not to mention trains like these need dedicated track and that too would be very expensive. That's why I think trains like these are perfect for small to medium sized countries and not huge ones like America or Canada.

  • @phillyslasher Japan is roughly the same size als france and callifornia, callifornia is busy with constructing a high speed rail network. I believe based on japanese high-speed rail technology.

  • @phillyslasher There are some 'corridors' where HSR would make a lot of sense. Two I can name: 1) Boston to Washington, D.C and 2) Los Angeles to San Francisco. It obviously makes ZERO sense to connect NYC to LA and no one is advocating that.

  • @vilhelmcasp please ask those repulican...

  • The 500 is indeed the most beautiful... don't know if worldwide, but at least in Japan. The ugliest one gotta be the E5 -_-

  • @ManiPulatoR84 I disagree. I think the E5 is epic, I'm looking forward to my next trip on the Tohoku Shinkansen.

  • I don't thonk this is the most beautiful train in the world.. just look at the ÖBB's railjet.. this train is beautiful (most it's front), but see the DB's ICE 3

  • lloyds tsb, for the journey Lol

  • for once its not a non-exsistant metallic blurr ._.

  • The shinkansen system of trains has not had one train crash ever since when it was issued in 1964.

  • Yup! beautifull train. The japs really do know how to design things which works almost perfect and looks beautifull as well.

  • I wonder what it costs to replace a windscreen ?

  • 700s is as pretty!

  • the most beautiful ?

  • The tgv sucks balls

  • Looks like a dustbuster to me.

  • stop funny dispute!

its not important comparing to fastest trains i.e. shinkansen and tgv are different from each other all of conditions, environment...

never do i think shinkansen lovers exist

so im glad i wanna take tgv trains too

  • Shinkansen cool beauty!!!

TGV fuckin shit heavy modified fake record

  • i say the british rail class 180 Alante is the best looking train.

It has that stunning but mean bully looks front end

    like a lamborghini

  • sorry the mallard has my vote have a look .

  • @silviopsg839406 JAPAN ! Everyone who kills whales or eats whale meat will go to a special place in HELL.

  • TGV recor: 574.8km/h, new TGV generation 4 for 2011 is AGV and certainly new recor!! French train are the best!!!

  • @gracieu8888:

the Shinkansen 500 serie reached 443 km/h in a test run WITHOUT modifies.

The TGV V150, instead, broke the world speed record after have been heavy modified.

If the same technical modifies were applied to the Shinkansen 500 it could have reached the world speed record.

Infact, even without modifies, it is more powerful than any other high speed train in the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @alexrm82 The CRH-380 HSR series are still faster than the 500 series though.

  • @alexrm82 Agree with you about the 500 series.

That long supersonic style nose can make the train reach very high speeds beyond 600km/h

  • @alexrm82 Good answer

  • @alexrm82 not really, this TGV V150 is like the AGV. the next TGV Train. The Agv speed commercial train will be 360kmh. and actualy in the Est line, the tgv speed is 320 kmh. the Shinkansen 500 is limited to 300kmh... power is nothing without control.

  • @Nervantoss

    Wrong.

    1) TGV V150 was basically an AGV, yes, but it was strongly modified anyway: 29 kV of line voltage instead of 25 kV,greater wheels diameter, more rigid suspensions, modified gear ratio. The "commercial" AGV won't have these technical features.

    2) It's true that TGV Est travels at 320 km/h on the Est line, but Shinkansen 500 could do even more: 300 km/h is the speed limit of the Sanyo high speed line (built in 1975), and it's not the speed limit of the train.

  • @alexrm82 sure it the record, do you think the sh, more powerful and more heavy dont need a modification an alimentation voltage to go at +500?

no the speed limite of the line is 320kmh, and the speed limite of the train is 300. sure i can go at 500kmh whit my bb 27000 (4000kw for 90T, tgv is 8800kw for 450T the Sh is 18000kw for 700T) but the speed for a bb27000 is limited to 140kmh(written on the driven position). after this speed the trains is not safe.

  • @Nervantoss

Of course, Shinkansen 500 would need many modifies in order to reach the same speed record of V150, I didn't mean the opposite. I'm just saying that if we could apply the same technical modifies of V150 to the Shinkansen 500, this would be more performant because it just starts better than any other commercial high speed train in its ratio weight/power.

About the speed limit: seek anywhere, you'll find that Sanyo line is limited to 300 km/h, the train is homologated to 320 km/h.

  • @alexrm82 ok! sure for a record it will be perfect, but the the physical limite adhérence limite the speed for 600kmh. yes you right! i have inverse the speed line and the speed train.so we can have a Shinkansen 500 at 320kmh in the Est line!

  • Just wait for the new TGV call AGV 360km per hour in 2010.

  • The Number of Tokaido-Shinkansen is going to become 15 for one hour (all 16 cars and speed is 300km/h).

New type Shinkansen ,JR-Maglev(speed is 500km/h) ,is scheduled to open in 2025.

  • the tgv looks like old in comparison.

  • Oui le TGV reste la référence!

  • n'import koi

  • Like a giant ANACONDA!

  • i love it... but the french one is not so bad...

    ;-)

  • Hello,magnificent disigne,thanks,bye.

  • Not bad, but I still prefer the Mallard. Which did 126mph. In 1938.

  • Comment removed

  • sublime

  • Très fluide, mais surtout avant-gardiste !

  • superbe, très futuriste

  • i like it ^^

  • Très joli. Very nice.

  • wow , tres belle forme !

  • The title is fitting; I couldn't agree more. Five star video.

  • 0.0 Beautiful!

    I LOVE the JR 500!

45 Years of Bullet Train Service......the Shinkansen is STILL 'The Most Prestigious Railway in the World'!

Cheers! May your Signals ALWAYS be Green!

  • ICE 3 (Velaro) is the most beautifull after Desiro Classic :D

  • nice 5*

  • The most beautiful train
