duel reception, indiana got screwed out of a chance to go down the feild and score. bull shit call at 2:47 and they only said the play stands because its a judgement call that you cant overturn in a reveiw. you might have won but you got damn lucky that the refs didnt give them that ball.
as you said, it can't be overturned in a review so what can you say? It probably was a crappy call but there are numerous ones that go both ways throughout the year
As a Hoosier fan, I was impressed with our ability to hang with the Maize n Blue in the Big House. Moral victories are always bittersweet, especially when the refs influence a game as much as they did here. Clearly the final pick was an atrocious call, but the holding penalty at the end of the first half that took away a sure IU TD was huge also. I would be naive not to mention that if not for the Michigan Center snapping the ball all over the place, this game wouldn't have been nearly as close.
and the center is also another reason why we lost to michigan state because he cant block, we need our center back bad. but as a michigan fan i will say that our secondary needs works.
Michigan's secondary needs a lot of work. This is going to be a tough week for Michigan because Carlos Brown is out with a concussion and since forcier has been injured, it's been hard to add new plays for the offense to execute.
Thank you for A) Including highlights from both teams, and B) Using the radio commentary. Anything is better than listening to Pam Ward repeatedly making the WRONG call on a play. Plus Beckmann does a great job.
Ugh Pam Ward on Odoms' last touchdown catch waited and then said "touchdown michigan" in a singsong voice... so annoying. Way too many random pauses in her commentary... I don't like her.
I was at this game, and it was INTENSE! Crowd went nuts when Odoms pulled in that pass and when Donovan Warren had that controversial INT. Our run D was suspect, and #2 (Doss I think) ripped us up, ripped up Cissoko so much he got benched in favor of J.T. Floyd I think, who did a little better.
Despite being a long time fan, this was my first game (as I am from Australia) and it was great. Would definitely like to go to the MSU game, but I don't see it happening :(
If you take out the 85 yard TD run of IU's, then you see that the run D wasn't as "suspect" as you'd think. Without that big run, they had around 125 yards on the ground.
The defense definitely isn't what I'm used to seeing at Michigan, but it has gotten the job done in all 4 games. It makes adjustments at halftime to keep scoring to a minimum and is good at stopping teams in the red zone. I think that MSU is going to give Michigan a really tough test this Saturday... they have a very solid running game.
Yes I agree. They did make some stops in the redzone and held Indiana to field goals. That all great in all, but we have to play better, especially now that we are going on the road against MSU and Iowa. They are both tough at home. That was my point, that we have to play better.
I'll be at the Ohio State game and I'll make sure to film more highlights like the ones from the EMU and Notre Dame ones I posted. WolverineHistorian has plenty of good videos. I'm subscribed to them.
Nice video. Shame that Michigan still isn't that great this year. Barely beating ND, and having to do another late game winning drive against Indiana. I'm predicting 9-3 this year. Losses against Penn State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. However, they haven't implemented RichRod's system in enough for everyone to get used to it, that will come in a few years. I always said after RichRod got hired, that it will take UM 3-4 years to start becoming a serious threat.
It's true, Michigan is not going to be a national champion this year. The defense is weak and the offense is led by a freshman. But they are a young, energetic team that is 4-0 and ranked, and that gets people exited. Michigan already beat a ranked rival and the offense is performing better than people thought. They haven't scored fewer than 30 points in any game. Michigan is good.
it is being run by a freshman but not a freshman at the same time. forcier is so damn good he even got us back in it against msu. but yes i wouldnt say that the defense is all bad but the secondary deff needs work. if we want to beat osu this year our secondary has to get better. but i allready know it will be an intense good game
I'll be at that game. I was impressed at how Michigan played against Iowa (skill wise). As Michigan improves and cuts down on stupid mistakes (5 f*cking turnovers!) the game vs OSU will become a much bigger one
yea well its always a big game. but yes 5 turnovers that is rediculous, um and if you havent notice that ever since our main center got hurt we havent ran the bas up the middle as good, we did have a few good drive with minor but the run game was so much better with the other guy in there, lol i forgot his name.
yea, and it was really sad how we starting a practice running back and he had like 160 yards. lol, but yea i dont believe penn state is all that good, they cant run the ball well at all, but with their pass game and our young secondary it will be interesting, i just wondering how much tate is gonna play
Haha and we got to our 5th string quarterback... I didn't even know there were that many! Penn State will be a really good game. Michigan ran the ball well vs Iowa so the run game should do really well vs Penn State. Put Daryll Clark has a great arm and the secondary will be sorely tested. It will be the defense's biggest test of the year.
haha yea i thought we only had 3, and yes this is the game for the secondary to prove themselves, i thought it would be the ohio state game, but perdue just proved osu offense aint shit, so yea and we did run good against iowa and they pretty damn good, we will see if minor is available next week
I hope minor plays because he did really well against PS last year. But Brown is capable too, even though he doesn't really bowl people over like minor. But I'm worried about forcier. A concussion, even if it's minor, has lasting effects like fogginess and headaches, and he really needs to be in top form. Sure, DRob threw 2 touchdowns, but playing Delaware State is like playing Appalachian State or something.
3:00 = Bull
indiana shoulda still had the ball.

Michigan is nothing without forcier

DRob will improve as a passer... the offense relies a lot on Forcier but Denard would be a passable QB in the event of an emergency.
