  • shoulda got a P90 for my neck pickup instead...

  • Hi, what is the speaker you are using?

  • @VelhosNovos Speaker is a Celestion Alnico Blue (the best speaker I've ever heard, imo)

  • Hi, do you know how much Stang (head and 210) weights?

I have just read its specs on DrZ´s site buy it doest have this information.

    Thanks.

  • @VelhosNovos My Stang head weighs about 10 Kg, cabinet I can't tell you because I have the 2x12 cabinet that weighs about 20Kg.

  • I ddnt realize you had a Hamer great sound though.

  • I just bought a 94 hamer special. Comparing it to my SG Classic, the quality (and playability) is superior. It's solid as a rock. The main difference is that it sounds a bit too "nice". The SG is much rougher and lower in output. It also has a sort of wobbliness to the sound - all elements that, to me, give it charachter. Perhaps it's the imprecision. Is it possible that the Hamer is just too well built?

  • i wouldnt mind getting a guitar with some P-90s. they sound great.

  • the fulldrive loves p-90's

  • Nice legs!

  • great resonant tone

  • Great tone, great playing, the rear pickup of course sounds the best. Tell me, how do you feel about Hamer build quality/playability?

  • Hamer quality/playability is as good as it gets. They take a back seat to no one. The fingerboards are on the flat side, so if a person is used to a rounder fingerboard radius, it might be an adjustment.--dg

  • I agree. I have a XT Korina standard, and even though it is an import model, it is a great, high quality guitar with real SDs. I have played Gibson Explorers in the store and definately could not tell the $600 worth of difference.

  • Digging the tone, digging the moves, and REALLY digging the Angus Young shorts!

  • What a nice sound.

  • Thanks everyone for the kind words. My Special has always been this dark, but the lighting doesnt' give you a clear picture.

I didn't really think the SD 90s were all that hot, but this is the only P-90s axe I've spent any real time with, so I might just be used to it. Hamer says these are the mildest P-90s CD makes. SD's hotter pickups must be REALLY hot. I think some of the perceived hotness is the midrange they have and the effect that has on ODs. But I have no idea for sure.--DG

  • them is some smokin lead tones

  • Great sound .... nice playing. Thank you for sharing.

  • THAT is the kind of sound i want to have for my guitar

  • EQ? None-- just set the Tone on the Z amp to about 1:00. The FD2 is set at about 11:00 for tone, and about noon for OD.--DG

  • What kind of EQ settings you use? Totally amazing sounds, sweet p90 pickups!

  • > Anyone else having problems with this video?

Nope - played all the way through fine.

You have some seriously yummy tone there - NEVER sell that guitar!

  • Anyone else having problems with this video? It only seems to play the first few seconds lately....

  • Beautiful playing m8, and great guitar and tone too. I've got a Hamer Studio myself, sings like a bird. Thx's for putting the vids up, really enjoyed em!
