I got to admit....Audio horror is the most is the best horror. It brings you into the game. When you here that object drop in the distance or around the corner....you wanna investigate it further even though the mind is telling you not to! Also its pretty fuckin awesome when some weird noise happens in the game and my surround sound speakers pick it up....it gives me the feeling like i dont feel safe in my house anymore...Dead Space is fucking awesome

What made this game creepy for me were the uncertain & uneasy feeling of it. Like, there were ventilation shafts in many rooms and you didn't know which one would have an alien/mutant come out of. Also, the producers of the game didn't make every room have monsters in it - which was brilliant because it kept you feeling uncertain, since you could walk through rooms and halls that were just empty, and then next thing you know a room would explode with monsters. The eerie music helped too.

Its all about how complex the timing is. when every single thing, like, light, effects, music and whatever, are fitting together, then you have a scare moment. it doesnt need brutal violence at all IMO

in one part when your on the run from the Regenerator, you have to run past it by running through the room it's in...and the Regenerator is also with like some Lurkers, and some Pregnants....usually i dont want to run from a fight because it scares me to get chased by those necromorphs....so it became a really intense bloodbath battle when i fought all of them at once

@DominantdanyRS the marker basicaly did it all but what happend is the marker made the crew members go insane kill eachother then there was infected tissue already attached to the marker and attached to the dead bodies then transformed them to necromorphs if you want the entire story watch the deadspace comics they give you the whole story behind it so far but wats really going to expand on it is deadspace2 because it tells us more of the origin of the marker

The best thing to do in this game is to turn the music off , the ambience right up, play it at night and play when nobody else is around. Just listening to the people whispering and the random clunks makes me nervous then comes the giant tenticle thing and bam you need a clean pair of undies :D
Doom 3 wasn't scary at all...it was an action shooter to me. Especially the expansion, it made the monsters look stupid as hell when you can just catch their fireballs and 1-shot them with their own shit. Doom 3 was a huge disappointment to me. Dead Space actually, for the first time, made me slightly uncomfortable. I loved it.

Don't people get horror games, because they WANT to be scared shitless (mind my language), coz thats why I get horror games anyway, and I'm 14...If you want to enjoy horror games to the max! the best thing to do is to not think about how to avoid the scares, instead just bluntly walk into the dark, try to induce fear into yourself if you can and pretend that you are actually there...it makes it a really memorable experience! 15+ hour experience? I beat it in 6, haha. Great game though, worth the money I paid, great art direction, imagery and gameplay, despite it's shortness. Max Payne 1 and 2 were also short games, but they remain some of my favourites.

In chapter 2 There this woman you cant kill, so you think shes ok. Then she smiles at you and kills the guy wich you think shes healing . Then you see all his ribs and stuff everywhere blood and then she cuts her throat. That scared the shit outta me.
OMG hell yah! That's honestly the thing I remember most about the first time I played the game. Walking through the medical center with blood everywhere and all the ambient noises, then you see that happen... Nightmares lol.

this game did have its points where it felt scary but i wish they made it so you felt more deserted and that you were helpless in most of the fights so you could get the feeling that you are gunna die and if you dont make the right decision its game over

The best thing to do in this game is to turn the music off , the ambience right up, play it at night and play when nobody else is around. Just listening to the people whispering and the random clunks makes me nervous then comes the giant tenticle thing and bam you need a clean pair of undies :D

Doom 3 wasn't scary at all...it was an action shooter to me. Especially the expansion, it made the monsters look stupid as hell when you can just catch their fireballs and 1-shot them with their own shit. Doom 3 was a huge disappointment to me. Dead Space actually, for the first time, made me slightly uncomfortable. I loved it.

okey i must admit this game has jump moments but it isnt scary the most scary thing though is real time inventory man and maps. im 12 yrs old so the 20 year old out there should not be scared but here are anti scare tips one watch your back two stay away from vents three dont fear status and telekinesis 4 dont freak out and use the enviroment to your advantage and last never think u are safe because u aint

Don't people get horror games, because they WANT to be scared shitless (mind my language), coz thats why I get horror games anyway, and I'm 14...If you want to enjoy horror games to the max! the best thing to do is to not think about how to avoid the scares, instead just bluntly walk into the dark, try to induce fear into yourself if you can and pretend that you are actually there...it makes it a really memorable experience! LMAO

15+ hour experience? I beat it in 6, haha. Great game though, worth the money I paid, great art direction, imagery and gameplay, despite it's shortness. Max Payne 1 and 2 were also short games, but they remain some of my favourites.

In chapter 2 There this woman you cant kill, so you think shes ok. Then she smiles at you and kills the guy wich you think shes healing . Then you see all his ribs and stuff everywhere blood and then she cuts her throat. That scared the shit outta me.
