@cutea1000 My favorite Layton game? It's difficult to answear this question, they are all really great in their own ways. I'd say it is Lost Future because it's about time travel and I like this topic very much. Specters Call was also a really awesome game though.

@OneNightOnlyLoverX Chill Out mannnnnnnnnnnn. If you live in the UK you can trade in your old DS/DS Lite/ DSi/DSiXL for a 3DS at GAME so that you can buy it for about £50. If you live elsewhere go to your local gaming shop and i'm sure they'll have a similar offer. Also Amazon are selling it for like £120 so it's not too bad. Trust me though the 3ds is well worth it

Why is everyone complaining that this is only for 3DS? Did all of you honestly think that the Layton series would stay on the last generation handheld? Of course they're going to move ahead! You wouldn't expect Mario or Zelda to stay on the DS now, right?

That said, I do agree with those who don't like the 3D models for the characters. I see that they want to utilize the 3DS's technology, but I think they should just make higher quality sprites and make the environments 3D.

@cjn1414118 Well, the 3D models look OKAY, but it doesn't do the characters justice. Luke's face got puffed out, Layton's legs looks sorta skinny. The expressions and movements translate onto 3D rather awkwardly, too.

@JackBond1234 I have no source, but it is obvious. It was released in Japan at February 26th, 2011 and usually it takes them about a year to translate. In Europe it is probably released at March so even if Americans get the game months later, it is still 2012.

Also the game is already released in Japan and it has 3D-graphics and 3D-puzzels in it, so why would they bother to reprogram the entire game? They would suffer a big loss because less people would by the 3DS.
