He used to be my favourite Don Giovanni years ago, but looking back on this now, I think he makes a better Leporello than he ever made a Don Giovanni. His voice isn't nearly as nice as Peter Mattei when he plays the Don.

To the best of my knowledge we are in Glyndebourne 1999. Yakov Kreizberg conducting OAE, a Deborah Warner production, with Gilles Cachemaille as Don Giovanni.
