@TheLitkid "KARMA IS A MUTHA" BY WALTER KELSAW. AGES 14-46 Raised in the poverty stricken unrelenting streets of Portland, Cory James did not realize his blessings. Cory's uncle was an affluent doctor who cherishes him, but he never hides the truth of how he feels about Cory going back to the hood. In the streets of Portland,Cory uses his street intelligence to guide his every move. Throughout all the bloodshed and tears, Cory learns his lesson of Karma.
Do you think the author was just tacking in the love story, or do you think the author was hoping that the love between Peter and Vallerie "willful suspension of disbelief?"
@tamayn Well, seeing as she was given the screenplay and they were like, "want to write about it?" I'm not sure she had much room in the dialogue department. But seriously, Peter and Valerie said nine words to each other before they were ready to run away together. The love felt like spontaneous teenage lust, not a relationship built on trust, friendship, and mutual experience. Grr, to the screenplay and I feel sorry for Cartwright for not having more to work with.
Huh? The final chapter is online! I read it before I did my review of it. I just went to the link and clicked the thing that said bonus chapter.
You read my book so you know how I feel about it, but I totally agree with you about the love story not making sense. And that's something she changed from the script! Go see the movie and you'll see what I mean.
@dontsleepread My money is still on the grandma. Maybe I can't read the final chapter because I bought the UK version while I was in the UK so the link is different. Will you please be awesome and send me the link in a message?
I'm one of your new subbies! Saw you over at WeReadBooks and I love how you did book reviews so I subscribed. ^_^
When I saw this book came out... I knew it was going to be terrible. The premise was just so off to me. The movie looks even more ridiculous, if that's even possible! Thank you so much for this review. Now I know I'm not missing anything worthwhile. Also, that whole last chapter thing? Completely stupid. That is all. XD Take care!
@RainMisoa Thanks for the sub! Happy to have you. It wasn't terrible. Just wasn't good. lol I'm going to see the movie because I want to have something to make fun of.
YOU'RE WELCOME! :D I SUBBED!

Hi I'm new!
If you like these fairytale retellings (Little Red Riding Hood -- the fairytale, not this!) then you should read SISTER RED by Jackson Pearce!

@poppycorn146 I actually follow Jackson here on youtube! She's so funny! I want to read Sisters Red.

Thanks for this review. =) You're awesome. But you already knew that, pfffft.
I LOVE THE SONG AT THE END!! One of the few good things I can thank Twilight for. Thank you Twilight, for leading me to that song, right there.

@MaxieMagyx Me too! The soundtrack was one of the only redeeming thing about the movies.
