  • Good player, but no one like Nikos Galis.....

  • ironically gallo wore the number 8 and d'antoni was coaching the knicks while gallo was there

  • mike d'antoni is the worst nba coach ever.......are you from europe? maybe you like him because of his euroleague days.

  • He's been rocking that mustache for a longggg time.

  • Its all about scoring. Who needs Defense?

  • very cute in his short shorts.

  • mike d'antoni is a perfect fit for knicks

    knicks cant play defense

    d'antoni cant coach defense

its like they're made for each other

  • Well at least we know who the worst defender was in European history

  • D'Antoni best playmaker in Europe in 80s??? ahahahhahahahahahahaa

Wait wait! I've heard a better one. In Soviet Russia the car drives you! hahahhahaaha

  • constant double teams he had to be sick.

  • go out NY

  • Hilarious. I don't know what's funnier. Jersey's that say Billy on the back, playing against a team with jerseys that say "FORD" or this song? You can tell that D'Antoni was a take charge guy long before you became coach though.

  • He was what? lol. Ask him about Galis and Aris Salonica. He still has nightmares

  • my team...my town: OLIMPIA MILANO.

    mike arsenio lupin numero 1

  • lol dantoni was a player? lol

  • im a knicks fan and Mike D is over rated

  • bud spencer music!!!

  • @erwinder terence hill actually :D

  • D'Antoni-Bob McAdoo: MILANO RULES!

    INTER ETERNA MERDA!

  • like the song what is it called?

  • It's the score of the movie "Lo Chiamavano Trinità" composed by Franco Micalizzi.

When I was a child I started playing Basketball for Mike D'Antoni and Magic Johnson...

  • Mike is the Man

  • eurobasketball seems pretty slow...

  • wow ive never seen him play before lol

  • great "Arsenio"... always in my earth here dowtown in Milan!

  • great players always play in greece first before they go to the nba.

these are images of the greek basketball league

  • actually D'Antoni played in Italy for Olimpia Milan club, and that game in Greece was against Aris Thessaloniki, a match played in the Euroleague, a competition at the age scheduling previous year's league winners. Nowadays this competition still exist, though its format has been changed, with many others teams entitled to take part in it. Italian league basketball at least until the first 90's was the best one in Europe, afterwards Greek and Spanish leagues have merged as the top ones.

  • True, i loved Aris back then with Nikos Galis :)

yeah, i love the euroleague, now it's a final four system with more teams that participate. Nowadays i'm a fan of panathinaikos, several times champs of the euroleague.

  • D'antoni's number is 8, Kobe's number is 8... that's why Kobe chose that as his number.

  • he was kobe's idol when he was growing up, wierd

  • He'll be coaching big stars in 2010 season with the Knicks !

  • lebron aint going to new york bro even if he does da celtics & lakers will still kick lebrons ass

  • chris bosh is though, and this is coming from a raptor fan.

  • i hope he leaves toronto cuz i my mind hes da 4th best player in da league behind kobe lebron wade and howard and i want him to go to a title contender cuz hes one of my favorite player and he aint gonna win shit in toronto

  • So you mean fifth best... dumbass.

  • he shouldn't have left the suns...

  • No, the Suns shouldn't have let him go. I'm a Knicks fan, but he should have gone to the Bulls. Then again, he didn't know they'd win the draft lottery.

MIKE SEI GRANDE!!!

    Milano ti amerà sempre!

  • He dribbles like shit! what's the emphasis of playing guard when you can't dribble!?

  • Did you know that when Kobe was a kid while living in Italy his fave player is Mike D'antoni. That's where he gets his no.8 jersey before changing it to his high school jersey no.24

  • no it wasnt dumass but he did live in italy u just fuckin assumed that dumass

  • Wow its obvious your a fucking Kobe hater. I know all Kobe haters dont believe this but its true his fave player is D'antoni back when he was in Italy.

  • i dont hate kobe at all hes my 4th fav player

  • I am assuming that you are a Knicks Fan right?

  • I'm italian and i'm an "Olimpia Milano" fan, the team where D'Antoni expenses his entire italian career as player and where started his career as coach.

  • Ehehe mi dispiace dirlo ma all'epoca gli americani lo sottovalutarono un po' troppo, questo era benissimo associabile a una squadra NBA...vabbè meglio così per noi! W AJ!

  • shut up bad kid the knicks got 3 expiring contraks they gonna do alot of moves and they have a lottery pick ....who wouldnt wanna be in newyork Madison square garden..and they paying Mike D'Antoni 6 million a year

  • The New Head Coach Of The New York Knicks. I wish him nothing but the best. I am A Knicks Fan and I Pray for him to turn the Franchise back to the top elite next season. Go NEW YORK KNICKS.Go Mike Dantoni.

  • d'antoni rules

  • I love the Spaghetti Western music. GOOD SHIT!!! What's it called and which movie did it play in?

  • the song is "Trinity - Oliver Onions"

from "They call me Trinity" movie soundtrack

  • One of the best Playmaker of all time

He has learned Nash very well at Phoenix...and Nash now is became like his coach

  • il piu grande di tutti!

  • he is like steve nash,no wonder he liked him at the bigginning

  • I agree with Denham3000. Steve Nash is the faster stronger NBA 2000 version of D'Antoni with more off balance jumpers and Globetrotter-like ball handling.

By the way, I loved seeing D'Antoni defended by archrival Nick Galis in this video. Galis doesn't hardly defend all that much, it seems. Then again, he didn't need to given the way he scored against everybody (including UNC phenom Michael Jordan who Galis torched in an exhibition game).

  • he is really lke nash

  • the stache rulz!!! That three point shot looked like nash, weird!!

  • damn...thats the best playmaking in Europe.thats not saying alot.

  • had to play overseas cuz he couldnt handle the NBA

  • I watched D'Antoni play in the NBA (with Kansas City) and in the ABA (St. Louis)in the '70s. He was a defensive-minded guard then with an incredible knack for making steals. Quickest hands I've ever seen. His steals average projected over 48 minutes may be the highest in NBA history. I also saw him block a Julius Erving shot at the Checkerdome in St. Louis.

  • immortale campione, grande uomo... guardate i miei video su di lui

  • Anzi si!

  • Non sono d'accordo

  • Grande !!! Non è solo un gran allenatore ma è stato anche un gran giocatore !

  • Wow. He's like Steve Nash!

Only not really at all like Steve Nash...

  • interesting.

  • sort of
