hey dude you sed that thos portal storms were sending xen creatures but no there is two border worlds xen and the other side(combine) gordon freeman ruled xen wene he killer the last boss becose that boss was making the vorts slaves and i dont now but i guess that boss whas taking commands from the combine becose they wanted vorts to clean behind them you now what i mean clean every thing hop you correct what i say or accept this information

@Mrfantastic40 incorrect, the gman says in the end of half life that him and his employers were in control of xen after the death of nihilanth. but there were still creatures on xen ie, headcrabs, baranacles ect. and those came through the portal storms.

Okay, does ANYONE know how the 7 hour war went? I've looked at about 10 or so of these 7 hour war vids and just about none of them can get it right.

After HL1, the Earth was ravaged by Portal Storms for some time, and eventually the Combine managed to break through the barrier that prevented them from entering this dimension. Their army of synth creatures (NONE OF THEM BEING THE COMBINE SOLDIERS YOU FIGHT INGAME) overwhelm the Human defences within 7 hours and finally get humanity to surrender.

Then they made the human ambassador (Dr. Breen) the puppet ruler of Earth, as he took direct orders from the Advisors. During this time Human prisoners were turned into the combine soldiers you fight in HL2, and if they did well, then they were turned into the elites, which are so mechanically upgarded as they can't be called HUMAN anymore. Also during this time, the Combine Synth army left, and only kept a small occupation force to put down rebellion, this largely using Combine soldiers. There.

I'm sick of seeing combine soldiers in almost every 7 hour war attempt. They didn't exist in the 7 hour war. Combine soldiers only started to appear once the combine had conquered earth

The Combine from what the game seems to tell us is that Combine advisors are the ones in charge therefore that is what the original combine species look like. They came from the combine overworld which you see briefly at the end of half life 2. The did not come from Xen, the Xen aliens fled from their home planet to xen as the combine had invaded their planet. The portal activity at black mesa attracted the combine to earth.

@piefish i read a mag one time and they were showing what the conbine really looked like, i mean, the ones that fought the war, they did not look like Combine advisors infact they looked human but with suits, they would have probly brought trained creatchers, remember the combine got humanity to cut a deal, as the humans were not doing so well because of the alians ontop as well, because the combine probly were able to tame the aliens and steel earths men, they were able to concure the eath in

There were no combine soldiers (at least human) in the seven hour war. They used synths which are aliens from other planets that the combine have conquered and these aliens have been converted into bio mechanical creatures like combine soldiers. Srsly I know far more about half life than you

@piefish im sorry for the spelling my key board if fucked and im to lazy to check it, and sorry but when did i ever imply the combine soldiers were in the 7 hour war? and by the way it was an artical produced by valve, all i said is that an artical had presented an image- sketch of what the conbine looked like during the 7 hour war the ones that were fighting the war, the ones i said took a human like shape that had appeard in a somewhat suit. mechanical if you will.
