hey, chris! just one more question. your music sounds great with no distortion. Do you have an iMAC or do you have a Mac pro? I am just trying to see what type of Mac/Apple computer I need to have recording quality as good as yours with no pops or clicks. Thanks..matt

@mapptk90 Matt, I'm always happy to help buddy. I have an IMAC. It's actually the first new computer I've ever owned & it runs my recording programs glitch-free. I'm glad to hear you like the quality of my recordings. I do work hard to make them the best I can, so that's encouraging to hear. @hennenhoe Sure buddy! :) Audio is fairly simple & you certainly don't need $50,000 worth of gear to sound good. :)

Hey Chris - what interface do you use and is it Firewire? Would you recommend it for Reason with a PC? I think your mixing sounds great!

hey! just subscribed - loved some of your originals. I am a piano player getting into home production but I have a PC - do you recommend your host software program for a PC - (I guess it would be Reason for PC version)? This video really helped me out for a model setup..thanks!! - Also think the audio-technica 4050 gives you a great sound - I was actually looking at an AT -4040, but now reconsidering.

Would highly recommend it. It has many crazy advanced features, but the basic are simple & you can start recording quick. Haven't tried the AT4040, but you can't go wrong with those mics. They're awesome for vocs! Thnxs again man.

@ThePianoShack Own one? I think my house is pretty much built out of dvx100 parts! I've seen so many pass by in the last decade. Been a while since I last used one though, the ease of SD cards can't be denied :). But its legacy lives on!

Just bought an old vf80 for £40. I didn't know it was such a dinosaur.lol. How do you get the digital files into your computer? Great little machine, tho' :]

@stufish4040 Cool!!! ha...well any music gear today that's over 2 years old is outdated. :) My vf80 has a cd burner on board, so I just burn a disk then upload to my computer that way. Thanks for watching!

Fun tour, Chris! Can't even believe how awesome your mixes are, considering you're just using WalMart speakers. Do you do all your mixes using headphones?

@matthewjordanmusic Thanks Matt!!!!!! I ALWAYS appreciate the kindness buddy. Most of my mixing is done on the Walmart speakers. I used to mix with pro monitors, but the problem is people don't play the song back on these awesome monitors. They play it back on their ipods, cheap computer speakers, cd boombox ect. So I find I get a truer mix just using basic speakers. This way I'm hearing it back the way my listeners do. That's my theory anyway. And the Beach Boys poster, on amazon! :)
