  • "The future looks good for good music" Oh how wrong they were

  • Is Dave on shrooms or acid?

  • LOL dave looks freaking hypnotized

  • Krist and Dave at 4:39 hahahaha that's so priceless.

  • @quddus92 hahaha thanks for pointing that out I didn't notice..good stuff

  • you know these guys told the future man this is heavy

  • @Ineedaguitarteacher

exactly, nirvana is what my parents listened to and that's one of the reasons i feel lucky to have them. they introduced me to some great bands.

  • i miss them...so dam much...

  • Hey, just wondering, if this is from Stockholm, why are the subtitles in Dutch?

  • Like if you beat Dave in the staring contest ;D

  • @FelleCreations those kinds of artists die out fast. Like the pop stars of the nineties. I only know two pop names and that's cause they were in the news. The thing about pop is that there's always going to be an artist that replaces them. Like in the 90s there was Madonna, today Lady Gaga. But the good bands stay in history and are un-replaced. Every generation (even ours) has good music. Just gotta look for it.

  • Wow all they are saying is so true.. I would give my left nut to be able to have a conversation like this with Nirvana

  • krist and dave see UFO at 4:39

  • @836theking I lol`d

  • @836theking Bird, bird. Bird is the word.

  • *motor roars* dave quickly looks!!!! the other 2 just keep talking :p

  • lmao at 4:38 the looks on krist and dave's faces when that bird flies by..

  • Love DAVE !! :)) <3

  • why dave always looked so wierd??

  • okay music is one thing and very important, but why don't we have musicians that don't have minds like these anymore? everyone today is blank, boring, and just suck ups for the media. just like kurt said there are only a handful of musicians that are good every ten years or so. too bad there have been any in this generation

  • @Fuckdisworld93 check out the Arctic Monkeys they are REAL just like Nirvana was.

  • 3:06 Hahahahahaha!!

  • 1:19 Future looks good for good music.... WRONG! Listen to the shit today! It's like ppl don't think, oh here's someone new let's make em fameous and make them sing the exact same words rappidly again and again and again!

What? Music that means something? That has more then 3 words in it? Hell I told the ppl in school what I'm listening to I would be buillied! :(

  • hahahahaha 1:37-2:13 dave just stares at the camera

  • 4:37 "No he is a good friend of ours"... OMFG A BIRD!!!

  • Comment removed

  • the whole time dave is just in the drummers world.

  • oh my god, Dave is just the biggest dork in the world <3

  • : ( The future wasnt bright for Rock N Roll

  • "He's a dick, I hate his guts.....I'm just kidding"

  • i dont get it... this interview is from 1992 right? and In Utero came out in 1993 and "heart shaped box" is played while the interview.. wtf?

  • @TahaMurataladdin Yes, the interview took place in 1992. But it was simply cutted later...

  • @negativecreep1993 oh okay thanks.

  • @TahaMurataladdin Also some of the In Utero tracks were written back in 91' and 92 including Rape Me, Pennyroyal Tea, Tourettes, and All Apologies.

  • @TahaMurataladdin Many interviews were aired several times and used in Nirvana documentaries after Kurt died.

  • if you have a quality hard rock band that have gotten good reviews and is on the brink of success, watch part 1 and 2 three times.the first time, just laugh at dave in the background paying no attention. the second time, listen to kurt and krist talk and compare about the hippie movement, the punk movement, new wave, and music in different regions. the third time, make a choice of whether or not u want your to go mainstream and end up like kurt.

  • @AlexeiLuchak you should know that krist likes lil wayne

  • Dave Grohl, the cat in the background.

  • why is everything being cut outta the fucking interview?

  • @AlexeiLuchak Well, Krist likes Lil Wayne...

  • Lol when Dave is completely motionless for like forever but then he finally moves and has that relieved look on his face.

  • 1:37 to 2:13 it could have been a cardboard Dave Grohl for all we know :D

  • 4:39 Let's all stare at the bird flying by lol

  • @AlexeiLuchak Opposite with me. My mom likes Beyonce right now, but I like any rock between the 50's and 90's. And some modern indie stuff here and there.

  • Active bands of today that I like is Foo Fighters, Sixx A.M and Buckcherry

  • @AlexeiLuchak im 14 iv only now like 5 people in my age group that listen to good music like this every one eles i now listen to crap music like lil wayne i hope a new band can come soon that makes amazing music like this

  • but the future wasnt good for rock its all fucking emo

  • @marigold1994 To bad you're an ignorant fuck who throws around a word you don't even know the meaning of.

  • lol, i was looking at kurt at around 1:48 and then i looked at dave and it scared the shit out of me, his just sitting there in the background staring o.0

  • @SuperRARRR i havent laughed so hard in ages, he has to be stoned during this

  • @SuperRARRR omg hahahahahahahahahahahahahah i didin't notice that at first untill i read your comment HAHA

  • @SuperRARRR A zen moment.

  • @SuperRARRR yeah i noticed that too! he does that for awhile and then finally just looks away and starts laughing.....he's so funny.......he was doing that on purpose, LOL!!

  • hmmm made me kind of sad hearing that nirvana was still signed for 6 or 7 more albums...

  • Thanks for posting these.

  • gen y has no music to call our own

  • 2 bnads worth paying attention in the 2000s

    1 White Stripes

    2 Arctic Monkeys

  • @arabianzeppelin The strokes

  • @AlexeiLuchak yeah i also find it ironic that Kurt even listened to alot of music that his parents generation would have listened to like the beatles. and that he and his aunt listened to the same music too.... maybe he just meant because they listen to all of the music that sucks... but he does say about the generation gap so idk...

  • @AlexeiLuchak To lazy to turn on anything other than the television, like music is so liberating man! like if I like a band and they recommend a band or are touring with another band it's likely worth checking out and, thank god for that because me listening to Nirvana transcended into like the Pixies, Alice In Chains and alot of punk rock and it made me get involved in local music scene and I wouldn't even play guitar if it weren't for Nirvana.

  • hahaha at dave grohl drumming on his knees in the background

  • I only liked two bands from the 2000s System of a down and arctic monkeys

  • future looks bright for good rock... biggest lie in the world man ¬_¬

  • @RHCPFAN96 maybe they meant future as in the next 5 years because now rock is pretty much dead

  • @mmtna yeah spose

  • has anyone noticed that many 60s bands and songs had names about sweets and other foods. "Vanilla Fudge & Strawberry Alarm Clock". Those names be making me hungry man

  • dave is crazy lol. playing air drums from 0:11-0:20 and then just oddly staring at a camera at 1:40.

  • 6:53 - 7:14 lolol krist is funny as shit

  • the interviewer says "the future looks bright in the next few years for rock music" WRONG it pretty much went downhill after cobain died because of all this pop and rap music

  • Dave stares at the camera for a very long time. I was cracking up for like a minute! 1:50

  • Comment removed

  • @peglegmegg16 he probably had a psychic vision about the foo fighters

  • @nvmelden hahaha nice

  • I love the looks of astonishment on Krist and Dave's faces when the bird flies past.

  • @OrangeTexta tbh , it looked like they'd just seen Mewtwo or summin lol

  • @estdes1 hahahhah yes!

  • @OrangeTexta lol at about 4:44 it looks like dave says "could of been mewtwo?"

  • was dave playing air drums?

  • @MrTwistedmetal1 cuz he's high as shit.

    or bored.

  • sucks that they only need one

  • @AlexeiLuchak i know and they talk about how music looks good for the future it makes me sad because music was good up until like 94 then there were only a few bands now there is nothing i need to find a good underground scene

  • @Element4078 well if you live in a place like st. joe theres not much to our music scene its just now starting up theirs like one good band thats come out of here that should be headlining the sprint center. but these other bands are like crappy generic clean cut ripoffs of the pop punk scene or the hardcore scene witht the excessive double bass. uhh the bands we are voices.

  • why did heart shaped box play if its 1992?

  • @YouKnowYourRite

I was wondering the same thing myself, maybe this is some interview in retrospective from some show about Nirvana that has been released recently.

  • @YouKnowYourRite and serve the servants at the end i thought i heard

  • dave grohl is the coolest character of the nineties, he's got it all really, drumming for nirvana and foo fighters first album, he's pretty much the coolest character ever

  • Dave was spaced out the whole interview

  • "Are we gonna do it in my basement? Are we gonna do it in my basement? Where are we gonna do it?"

That's just so hilarious to me.

  • did you add in heart shaped box or did you get the date wrong? i wanna know if he was talkin bout in utero when he said theyd loose alot of their fans on the next album

  • you know what is funny my mom loves Nirvana LOL I mean not as much as i do,but she still does

  • "professional mixoligist", lol!

  • I swear I almost died laughing when Dave started staring at the camera at 1:40

  • Dave was drumming in the beginning, but you just can't hear it HA!

  • Dave is staring at the camera LOL

  • @radomu1 I got hypnotized lol

  • man Dave change so much from being in nirvana then being in foo fighters in nirvana he hardly talks and just sits there and does whatever he is doing while in most of the interviews Krist talks the most an Kurt talks ever now and then and Dave is just there and say like one word every 5 mins and then back to Krist lol now in Foo Fighter he talks all the time

  • @KPaco18 he's said he always felt replaceable, Nirvana had 5 drummers befroe him. I don't think he felt he was an intergal part of the band. With Foo fightgers, it's his band, he's the frontman, plus he's older and use to being famous

  • 5 years is pretty far in the future.Until about 97 mainstream rock was still pretty good. Then pathetic post grunge, rap metal,hip-hop,boy bands, teen divas.Disposable, forgettable garbage.Nothing original or revolutionary in ALL of music has come out since the greatest rock trio(seen here)came on the scene. Those seattle bands destroyed themselves,as to where the 80's bands were overcome by more powerful music. So when the reporter says the future looks brightI?It was....for a while.

  • I love how Krist and Dave are both mesmerized by the flying bird at 4:40

  • dave is so bored :PPPP

  • lol @ dave and krist after 4:40 :D

  • The future looked bright in the 90s, where did music go so wrong in the 2000's... just look at all the videos with millions of views... i know you have to go searching for great music thats out today... but atleast during the 90s we had some amazing artists who made it to radio and mtv, now we having next to nothing, but autotuned mess and 'hits' for today...

  • the futrure they were wrong it was good for the nest couple years but now addays there is no music

  • lol whats grohl doin

  • LOLOLOL @ part from 1:30 - 2:00 DAVE STARING AT CAMERA!LOL

  • Dave doesn't even talk barely at all

  • The parents thing, its like this my parents like a kind of music that is horse than djing, problably you never eard about is pimba( its like this portuguese dancing music with lirycs wich have dirty means, or like romantic singers like Tony Carreira ( witch is a crappy singer), Portuguese music is growing dont get a bad impression, we got great rock bands like Shivers, Tarantula, Annihilation and the list goes on.

  • (continue....)that kind of music is bullshit because its computer programed, there is no skills on that, if you put like tiesto or other dj playing an instrument they problably cant, and people dont are that much passioned about music like back in our parents days, and thats sad, like i love music is like my religion and i play guitar thats the thing that im passioned about i dont like that dj crap or the hip hop wich is made on computer by midi sounds.

  • Hey man i totally agree with you, in one part because in the parents part i can not agree. It's like this the kids ( i'm a teenager) nowadays don't listen to the music just to the beating, like hip hop or dj music.

  • Dave is sooo in a world of his own in this. xD

  • Whether theres good music nowadays is subjective, its the fact its been 19 years since this band started a cultural revolution, which was at a mass level.Nothing stood out like grunge fashion,music..in the 2000's.Grunge dominated 90's pop culture.Nothing has stood singularly the last 10 years.Maybe original rock n roll died with the guy.19 years is the longest rock has gone without a revolution

  • Even though almost every other genre of music has gone downhill in the past 10 years, rock alone when you look at it is still pretty decent. For instance, Shinedown and Alter Bridge are 2 bands within the past 5 years have put out good music. Look at bands as a whole, rather than what is aired on the radio to the mainstream.

  • Dave is srsly high

  • the new bands from 2010 O = what´s gonna be?!. And soundgarden it´s back!! and with bands like Pearl Jam, coldplay, mudhoney, the melvins, foo fighters, radiohead, faith no more and a few other The good music have some future

  • @facun1989 I hope my music becomes something worthy of sitting with Sonic Youth and Nirvana.

  • lol look at dave at 0:11

  • drummer

  • i feel like i'm having a staring contest from 1:38- 2:14... he won

  • @onehotminutex

lol! I didn't even notice that.

  • @onehotminutex I didn't even notice that until I clicked the time-link thing, and I just started laughing my ass off xD...

  • wow.... think about passing by boat, not knowing that a few feet away sits the members of one of the worlds greatest rockbands.

  • so fucking wrong at 1:20.

  • wut?

  • so fvucking wrong at 1:20

not really,he was talking about bands being exposed from the underground from the early 90's.Alot of great bands emerged because of nirvana. And until this last shitty decade.Rock was great.

  • 6:03 - 6:15 Makes me very sad. :'(

  • lol dave is so bored

  • lol.. look at Dave's face at 4:20

  • not in my case, I live with my mom and I swear to god basically everything that i listen to is from her generation (gen X) and it's all stuff she hated , and everything she listens to is from now, everything I hate and am completely against she LOVES.

    it's quite frustrating.

and the only proper band my dad likes..(well, liked..i found the tape in his old collection from highschool and college) is Iron maiden.

  • haha Dave seems kinda off =)

  • If you're not scaring your parents, you're not doing your job.

  • man at 1:20 boy was he wrong

  • wow...listening to Kurt talk - the man knew what he was talking about:) I always love to hear (all three of them speak) but especially Kurt because he was just intelligent beyond belief. He ALWAYS spoke the truth - not going to be another one like him folks. Especially now when you don't even need talent anymore - your voice is just copied over. NIRVANA 4EVA

  • 4:24 hahahaha

  • 4:40 .. krist n dave XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • lol a flying bird?

  • yeeah XD

  • Comment removed

  • Krist Novoselic was very handsome

  • i love this interview! i love kurt! and davee

  • God I love Krist...Raw Wild and Confusing XD

  • thats awesome this interview was on my 5th birthday

  • It looks like Krist and Dave are afraid of sweden

cuz they get scared by a bird, then a boat motor

  • @Bocahin Hahahahaha (Y) :'D

  • @Bocahin krist looks like he's gonna shit his pants when the birds fly by xD

  • The next album that they talked about is In Utero right?

    Date, description, expectations, all matches.

How come there are songs of it in this video?

  • It was shown probably 10+ years ever due to the TMF logo with "Nirvana Day" underneath it.
