No, the PSP Slim does not have an iR port.
Sony though has plans for an official keyboard which will work with the slim. Lets just hope that it will get released one day soon.

I got the keyboard from eBay for £11 around $20.
Easy to get and easy to set up, there are mIRC, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and more messengers for it as well for free.
