well going under is about how someone is breaking through a bad relationship, in the case of new moon, Edward leaves Bella saying that he doesn't care about here anymore (a lie), and so she's depressed for a while, and finally seems to break through the depression when meeting jacob, and so bella and alice (edwards sister) go to italy to save Edward before he killed himself since a misunderstanding with the fam, so Going Under does go with New Moon in a specific way
