This misconception that people where ignorant of the shape of the earth comes from the partially fictional text ‘The Life And Voyages Of Christopher Columbus’ (1828), which incorrectly stated that Columbus set out to prove the earth was round.

saw this first time in an animation festival in 2005. Loved it so much. So many clever gags, and such a great character design and dynamics. I'm working on the industry and this is one of my favourite animations I know. I think the studio responsible is Tandem studios in UK.
