i wish my professor crooked fingers would stay still like that. then again he aint big. hes 5 and 2 1/2 feet long. i am VERY AWARE his growth has been stunted. its cuz we dont have the leisure money to buy him a new tank. but we can buy a 29x29x55 cat cage that is for iguanas as well. then ill trim his oversized ribbon shredding nails
@SpartanAtom ya try the towel over the head, my iguana is just a baby but with a towel over his head or if he runs headfirst into a plastic bag he stops moving
I use a cordless dremmel ( I'm not sure of the spelling). It is a multi-purpose grinding tool. My iguana doesn't mind it at all and it makes his nails much smoother for a lot longer than clipping them. My vet uses the same.
lol he was very good to let you trim his claws, i just made a claw cutting video too it took forever to be able to cut them and get the camera close enuff to see how to do it hahaha

Adorable! I don't know if my Sobe would like being held that way, but I'll try it.
I normally trim his nails when he's resting on the big branch in his enclosure.

I agree, what a very well behaved iguana. I have a bearded dragon and she's a very good girl when it comes to nail clipping!
