  • To the uploader, can you direct me towards a location where I purchase/obtain more music by Nat Star/Tom Barrett? Or anyone who sees this comment is welcome to help me, puh-lease :) I'm madly in love with this

  • ...and the nostalgia kicks in.

  • This was in Skins US before Midnight In Paris.

  • i listen this song beacause of the midnight in Paris thumbs up if u agree

  • I suspect many people are searching this tune from the Roaring 20's because of Midnight in Paris. Which is how I heard of it and remember my dearly departed dad loving Cole Porter.

  • Heard it in Midnight in Paris. Amazing Song <3

  • this song has the most catchiest tune I know

  • who's this voice coverage from? if i missed something

  • Italians do it better

  • i really like this song :)

  • Respond to this video... That makes two of us...Porter might have been a rampant gay,but he knew how to write a good romantic girl/boy tune

  • :) great music

  • incredible

  • really amazing song

  • @rosariododds Phew..l am glad you appreciated the tune. The last two to comment utterly hated it..see below

  • @rosariododds hey how old are you guys? i guess something around 50? because nowadays even middle aged people don't listen to that kind of tune! no disrespect!

  • @Internetkiddy I am 19. I love the old music tune. Each of them is a story. More enjoyable :)

  • @amurogundam That is amazing, you´re one in a million

  • @mishll24 Me too ! We're two in a million ! ^^

  • @MrLudo90

    i would say it's three in a million ;)

  • why so suck quality?!?!: '(

  • this is fucking horrible are you kidding ME

  • I dunno, but this version seems to be a tad too fast.

  • @dragonflash93 Your right. The British dance bands of the 1920s thru to early 30s played everything at a fast tempo, even the ballads..However l find this very charming, that they are taken at such pace. However the writer did indeed mean the song to be taken slightly slower than this version

  • this was the usher of the era! :)

  • I wanna live in Paris 1920s!

  • @MrAPchannel have you been to the movie midnight in paris? It's fantastic, you should see it! It's about the thing you just descibed!

  • @MrAPchannel MIDNIGHT IN PARIS was totally what I wanted to, the ability to go back to the 1920ies just by taking a lift in a 20ies car. ;)

  • I love this song but why is it so hard to find a version actually sung by him? Are they only on records? I wish I could own one because he has the perfect voice for the song. All the other versions can't compare.

  • is this available on cd?

  • @sleepyduo37 There are 3 CD's of Nat Star's music available from Happy Listening c/o John Bream 66,Booth Lane South Northampton NN3 3EP The CD's cost around $6 Canadian and because he is so old you need to apply via letter or you can tel 01604 410 130 direct..You may also be interested in Memory Lane Magazine it has indepth stories of the celebrities of the dance band era

  • this is lovely, thank you! you just fill with joy when you hear it.

  • @ioet Very pleased you liked it..This version is rather good..The strange thing is that is my fastest accumulator of views...However another song of Nat Star's that l posted is the slowest of all to get views, yet the second song is just as lively and well played. Can't understand why

  • @davidglow3 maybe it's because this song is featured in woody allen's latest movie, "Midnight in Paris" -- a great film by the way! i'll go view the other song

  • nice!!

  • It is really difficult to find records by this band. I have to admit: The band is really great and really underrated! Thanks a lot!

  • @phonomono78s always a pleasure to hear from you

  • I always like Nat Star's records, although he had the same budget problems as Jack Leon (on Piccadilly label).

  • @muscleco He is a bit underrated, however Nat Star seemed to have a "safe" personality. Not taking any liberties or undue risks.Firman did not use arrangers, but got Lally to adjust the music to allow for hot solos etc.Star was content not to take risks and stuck to the conventional. With so little work around,l cannot blame him for safeguarding his job
