I had a Birman (also called The Sacred Cat of Burma) named Lotus Laughing Buns that used to do this. Your cat was begging! Lotus would beg to be petted.

The breed has an obsessive need for lovies. My girls were little and Lotus would even go up to the larger dolls and beg them to pet her. She was the sweetest cat I've ever had. Their long silky soft hair doesn't mat. Just purrrfect for petting. She lived to be 15. She passed away 6 years ago. Seeing your kitty brings tears to my eyes.

@motherpuffer My cat does that, she likes to play with me, no one else in the house, just me. She'll shoot past me everytime I'm walking, then rear up on her back legs and slap me on the back of the knees so they buckle. Then she'll run off making a sound that I can only describe as giggling. She's a weird one!!

This cat had some kind of a problem, that thing hes doing is funny at the beginning but is doing it too often. If you say he passed away to early. Maybe he had some kind of a desease. Maybe a good Vet would tell what was wrong with him. Some kind of a brain problem or else.

Reminds me of my moms dog that does strange things. She goes up to all of the electrical sockets in the house and she will try to bury them by scooting her nose on the floor in front of them. Yes, I'm sorry, too, but I agree with vicfirth16, it looks like the animal is trying to get rid of something that is bothering it. I think the explanation about eye parasites is probable, although it takes the fun out of the scene.

But it is important when caring for animals to remember that they don't always make noises if they are hurt. I have seen a deer once with a dirt piece on its eye: it kept silent, just waved its head and tried to rub it with its leg, but couldn't reach. Like this cat.
