  • Look at WTAE's 4 in Pittsburgh...its identical to this except for the rainbow. They STILL use it to this day!

  • I remember seeing a huge 4 logo that was this style plastered at the Omniplex way back when.

  • i reckon the nbc 4 plane did not last too long.

  • personally, I like the old NBC 4 logo.

  • The 4 logo in OKC was also simular to WNBC's at the time, wasn't it?

  • Yes it is very close and to KNBC 4's logo without the rainbow scheme. I believe this was from the late 1970's, when WKY took the new call letters KTVY and now they're KFOR. "We been around for a long long time", they are Oklahoma's oldest TV station and radio station (WKY radio) originally WKY came out of Enid. KFOR used to be received in Tulsa, but being a separate TV market their prime time schedules are blocked out and not always visible over the air in the far ends of Oklahoma. +

  • I think it is cause KTVY (now KFOR K4) and WNBC had that "4" shape as their new logos in the same year!!!
