They have a song called Honeysuckle that is on Youtube that has some crazy side-stick snare and buzz roll madness. i think its pretty lame that theres thousands of drummers out there that are truly amazing, but this girl, who from a drumming point of view is DECENT, gets sponsors, and cymbals, and all the attention, JUST BECAUSE SHES A GIRL. Again, shes pretty decent, but not like freakin amazing or anything. Big deal if shes a girl, its the playing that matters. Her technique is sloppy....blah blah blah, in the end it wont matter what people say though. Sex (or the appeal thereof) sells right?

If pure talent was all that mattered then at least 90% of all mainstream musical acts wouldn't have a pot to piss in. If you want attention then you have to know how to market and present yourself, and from that standpoint she's doing a pretty good job. And to be fair if she didn't have a moderate amount of talent then she'd just be popular for sucking and might become a meme at best. She's a hell of a lot more deserving to make millions then that White Stripes chick anyway.

@tellumyort ur right. i do listen to SOME mainstream music, but most of the drummers i consider famous are guys like Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Steve Gadd etc. Theres plenty of undiscovered talent (people that drum like the ones i mentioned) that really deserve the attention. but like i said, i think this chick is gettin the attention mainly because of her looks and the fact that she is decent at drumming. But if ya read the comments on here, everyone is like "oh wow! a gurl drummer! cool"

Could disagree with all this strength in snare hits bollocks any more if I tried. The snare sound could do with a bit more body (especially from such a deep snare), either from a dynamic mic or a bit better mic placement (I'd actually love to know what the mic on these videos is tbh - it's incredible!). Volume-wise, it's spot on, quieter than the bass drum and louder than the cymbals. Couldn't want more!

your technique is kinda soft... its weird cos when I see a girl drumming.... the most of the time she is thinking in "how many guys im gonna get with this ?" so that girls move her body a lot and their technique sucks... you move your self jus the perfect amount to get the feeling and not loose control (even in metal drumming)
