Not quite sure why you are ranting about the storyline. Trudi was cheating on Harris for 3 years not just once or twice. He went after SanDeE* more to feel young again - he realized he couldn't maintain.
This movie, Enya, and this scene. Was so profound to me. It really takes me back to who I was creatively at the time. Enya, Enya, Enya. This movie has so many enchanting effects that it chilled me to the bone the first time I saw this movie. The humor of the movie is just the icing. This romantic story is the real prize!!!
Steve Martin's best movie, by far. Funny, poignant, emotional. The beach scene with hiim and Victoria, the scene where he vists the highway signboard, and this scene are the 3 best ones in the film.
Great moment from a great movie by a great voice. I still get chills when I think about Martin telling Tennant these foreshadowing events on the beach as they Enya's music begins. I hope Steve Martin gets chills being a part of that!

It's on the Special Edition DVD of LA Story. It includes all of John Lithgow's deleted scenes, and all of Scott Bakula's deleted scenes.
