I am quick to point out that, while yes, the Adeptus Astartes are fucking hardcore, the corpses of their enemies were from the traitor legions, who are essentially space marines given magical demonic powers, and therefore are a fair bit tougher than the average marine. Its the ONE case where an Astartes chapter will usually outnumber their enemies, because Chaos costs more points per model than normal Marines.

True enough, to an extent, however I am quick to point out that in normal circumstances, a Marine has a far higher survivability rate than any other soldier save those of the Necron. In tabletop, I have had 3 marines wade through a hail of las and boltgun fire from a Sisters army,get into melee, and butcher 2 guard squads and run the Sisters squad off the map. THREE marines. Not even Termies. My termies have torn through mobs of 20+ necron warriors.
