Hmmm...im noticing alot of ppl getting thumbs down for speakin the truth. Yes thes is a special edition with no story, just battles, like 98 and 02. But special edition or not this game needs work. The controlls suck, cool characters were replaced with stupid ppl like Raiden,Ralf and clark take steroids. The fighting system isnt even that great. I just rented the game and the store clerk even said he heard the game sucked..but i still wanted to try for myself. As a fan of KOF im dissapointed.

LOL. I know right? Yea for somereason they took out alot of moves. I can't say why..but the game is kinda lacking..especially if you've played previous KOF's. You should try KOF XI (the prequel to this game) if you havnt already. It may not have high resolution 2-D sprites/graphics like this KOF but it's pretty bad ass once you master the gameplay.

uhh, yeah, But there's a thing called BETA they could have done before releasing this game. They could have made the game ALOT better with a storyline AND bosses(That might suffer from KOF Boss syndrome) even though it might have taken longer.

Could you post the moves you do for Kyo? It looks like shoulder charge into super, reverse dp + lk, another reverse dp + lk (not sure though it looks a little different), shoulder charge into qcf + hk, qcb + hk.

This game is easily one of my fave fighting games of all time. Had it just a few days and am having a total blast with the system mechanics, and critical combos are just too cool for school.

The single player package is basic, and the online needs some more patching, but the gameplay is so fun and solid, even with characters that have only like two moves. The clans will take the game to another level once the online bugs are sorted out, hopefully that doesn't take too long.

It's only hard punch (C). I thought it was hard kick (D) as well but only hard punch can generate it.
