Thanks for the comments guys. I was indeed hitting the hold switch, shutting off the Esc and spooling back up at the end of the flight, I was demonstrating the new "Auto-Rotate bail out" mode that is included in the latest firmware update from Castle Creations. Besides being able to safely bail out of an auto its a real nice feature to play with in "high risk" situations.

I believe he was hitting the TH switch to show off how well the ESC recovers when you want to bail out of an auto. That has always been an issue with previous versions of Phoenix ESCs. It looks like they solved that problem nicely.
