Barros was a hell of a rider, very talented... But don't forget Biaggi, with that ugly Yamaha 4t 890cc with carburetors without TC, he win two races, Sepang and Brno... He never had very competitive bike, same like Barros, but he was always the fastest with Rossi and Alex... The only exception was the Honda HRC 2005, but Biaggi was too old and the bike was a complete shit compared to the unbeatable RC211V 2002-2003... Barros beat Rossi at Valencia 2002 with the same bike, interesting...

Some parts of this video couldn't mean nothing because the the behavior of the Honda NSR 500 drived by Barros was too different to the RC211V: the 4stroke bike was faster, most powerful, but also heavier and slow in tight corners... but 1 thing is sure: Barros was the only one capable of fighting with the excessive 4strok's power... a great driver, miss him!

??? Today's bikes are 800cc (equivalent to a 2T 400cc) and deliver more power than the 500cc of the past. They are more than 5s faster than the 2T of 2001, which Valentino won. In 2002 the 2T were just too obsolete, and those who rode them lost so badly that in 2003 there were no more 2T in the grid.

And even the comparatively smaller 800cc were already more powerful than 500cc when MotoGP adopted them. And these are just facts, "ifs" do not exist.

then you should know the nsr rossi used 2001 never used again . honda used the underpowered nsr at2002 and capirossi isnt so good rider as rossi so it is very natural for rossi to win the older and without evolution nsr that honda sold to the other racers manufactures.

Barros was still riding the NSR500 during this time as oppose to the others rcv212, M1 etc which is 4 strokers and a naturally heavier when compares to barros NSR500 which is 2 strokes. Which is why barros corners and accelerate after the corners is faster than the rest because of the light weight of 2 strokes.

The thing was Honda gave Barros the new tecnology rc211 with better TC... you can notice this if you see the full races.... Rossi was sliding too much
