Lots of families have eight kids but not everyone have had two sets of multiples, one set being six. That's why tlc approached her, and tlc wasn't their first. They were on Oprah too. What else wre they supposed to do? Jon and Kate needed money for their kids. I don't blame them for doing the show.

I have no sympathy for her. Jon was happy with just the twins. She waited only a year to get pregnant and then turned to fertility treatment, much against Jon's wishes. I also blame a doctor for allowing fertility treatment so easily. It takes an average of a year's time to conceive. I think she rushed into it. All that aside, the kids will never be normal having cameras in their faces their whole lives.
@jerry736 Yes, she is a nurse and made good money working at a dialysis clinic for years and quit the first season of the show, as the money started rolling in. She should get out of the limelight, go back to nursing, which is a great paying job nowadays, and take care of her kids with the help of Jon and a nanny. It was all the book signings, speeches, etc. requiring her to be away from the house five days a week, dumping them off on Jon that caused the marriage to fall apart.

I have no sympathy for her. Jon was happy with just the twins. She waited only a year to get pregnant and then turned to fertility treatment, much against Jon's wishes. I also blame a doctor for allowing fertility treatment so easily. It takes an average of a year's time to conceive. I think she rushed into it. All that aside, the kids will never be normal having cameras in their faces their whole lives.

@jerry736 Yes, she is a nurse and made good money working at a dialysis clinic for years and quit the first season of the show, as the money started rolling in. She should get out of the limelight, go back to nursing, which is a great paying job nowadays, and take care of her kids with the help of Jon and a nanny. It was all the book signings, speeches, etc. requiring her to be away from the house five days a week, dumping them off on Jon that caused the marriage to fall apart.

She's a total control freak, sweeping the kitchen floor three times a day, freaks out if there's a stain on the kids' clothes and obviously had her favorites. She never disciplined Hannah, who is now a spoiled brat, and constantly picked on Leah, the one seen being spanked all over the tabloids, because Leah is the only one that is developmentally on track.

I lost my job almost a year ago, and I'm living on a tight budget but there is a difference between not wanting to be poor and wanting a life style that you cannot afford. Im sick and tired of all the Jon and Kate crap! We all kno its all Jon. Jon was tired of being a dad and wanted to go back to being a single teenager! News flash YOUR OLD! Jon is sewing his oats and thinking the grass is greener on the other side....just like anyone who leaves a relationship for lust and sex....will find out it is all the same...turns into a partnership and work. Jon needs to grow up and if Kate is so controlling then Jon needed to step up before things got out of hand.
Jon is rebelling and I really think what is comes down to is that Kate does not need Jon in the same way and Jon is an insecure ass.

Kate's coming out as the victom because of her looks only. she's a control freak & should work on listening to others ideas. she really needs to learn to listen to others before those kids are teens she's going to find those kids wanting to live w/jon.

Jon should suck it up and make the best of it.Kate had the talent in that pair and was what kept the money coming to pay the rent.If the tables were turned and Jon was doing book tours everyone would expect Kate to hold up things at home.

I think Jon and Kate both deserve credit for raising eight healthy children. But the divorce is not good, the kids lives are being torn apart, piece by piece, its just one thing after another. I think Jon has made some very poor decisions, and he did admit that he had. I watch some of the old episodes, and it makes me so sad, because I think: What happened to Jon? He used to be so easy-going, and nice and very cooperitive, and now he has completely changed. It is so sad.

I feel so sorry for the eight of them.The sextuplets are five, and the twins are nine and their parents are already divorced! The kids lives are so messed up now, and none of it is their fault. And now, that Jon is fired from the show, and he has hired a lawyer and everything, they might stop the show. There is a good and a bad about this: The good is, they will not have cameras following them so much, and that would be less stressful, and the bad is that they would not have a way to earn money.
