  • Breathin heavy after a few punchers you dont box

  • dope

  • When that double end bag spins around it jus looks so kool and it makes u wanna hit it more and u get all into it while slipping and pivoting.

  • The young guy boxes well, but the old man sucks. They should use him as a punching bag. No, kidding. He is kind of a fag though.

  • paul got raped by a grizzly bear when he was little

  • get a gun

  • Good stuff, useful drills ;) I love my double end much more than the normal heavy bag now ....well partly because my heavy bag is too heavy and hard and my wrists often hurt :)

  • Looks like pretty good work...It's a good combination. I like to throw a left jab..followed by a left hook..left uppercut and a straight right hand.

Whoever said boxes throw 150-300 punches per round is incorrect. There are some fighters who are busy, but only a few can throw 100+ on a consistent basis...Calzaghe can...maybe Israel Vasquez and some of the lighter weights. Guys like Hopkins only throw a select amount of punches..not relying on volume but placement and angles.

    good stuff...

  • @furmountain21 check out tua and ibeabuchi

most punches in a heavyweight fight

    u might like it bro

    its a good fight

    nz represent lol

  • TexWhatever: if you have Muhammad's reflex you could do it but most people have reflexes nowhere near that. The same with Pernell Whitaker.

  • hi. i was wondering if you knew the answer to this question:

i've noticed a lot of boxers (most) hold their arms up (to guard) but mohammed ali had his arms down to his hips and hit upwards. i always get tired a lot very quickly holding arms up so i assume it's a drain on energy and the punching muscles of the arms. what do you think? i reckon hip level and use dodging, saving arms for lengthy punching (nb: note ali 's opponents wore out first! not just from 'rope-a-dope'

  • only if u got the reflexes to avoid the punches and the speed to throw your punches but its not a good idea to keep ur hands down u will get hit alot if ur arms get tired from holding them up better not drop them unless u want them to test your chin and the reason they wore out was because they were punching and he wasnt so when they got tired he started to attack. hope i help. and also ali knew when to put up his hands.

  • hey thanks for your answer. i've got a pretty tough head and take a lot of hitting so that aspect doesn't worry me that much. i was just thinking of the limited amount of energy any boxer has and how it could be used best. from watching him i noticed he would hit from the hip and use ring generalship to keep out of strike range. also, do boxers use 'corking' at all (punching the arm muscles to hamper hitting ability)? always thought that would be effective and an easier target to pound.

  • no matter how tough your head is everyone has a limit on the amount punches they can take its not a wise idea to take hits cuase of risk like brain damage especially cause where boxers throw atleast 150-300 punches or more per round. im sorry i don't know what u mean by corking unless u mean corkscrewing (twisting the punch to add more power)

  • oh i also recommend that u go check out a local boxing gym to check out how they fight and ask coaches for more in depth details cause they can show you what to do or what not to do and why something wont work. let me know how it goes. :) oh i have a question are you interested in becoming a boxer or just curious on how we fight?

  • yeah i can go to a gym but i'm not allowed to spar as i have hepatitis C so therefore it's automatic that i'm banned due to the blood rule (australia). i am curious about techniques for self defence. i like looking at boxing. it's one of the few sports i like (i'm an 'arty' type) i see a point to boxing (self defence) wheres i don't for silly games with a stick and a ball or whatever. in australia there's no shortage of violent drunken idiots who hassle you in gangs or beat women. YUK!

  • btw: thanks for replies. i have a medium heavy bag hanging in my lounge and enjoy giving it some grief LOL. i work on coordination and strength with my left as when the guy attacked me i could belt hell out of him with my right but my left was dreadful. i'm pretty sure he WILL come back again when his sentence is up and this time i'll put him down quickly and tie him up 'til the cops dawdle onto the scene like last time.

  • true. i'm thinking more in a streetfighting sense as i was attacked in my home last year and was thinking more in my case as i tire quickly (heart). i can take a few as i have done in the past and by the time they've got a few in i've launched a couple into them and i seem to hit very hard as they go down lol. by corking i mean hitting the muscle and making it go dead (like 'dead legging' someone). i meant hitting the biceps and triceps making it harder for the opponent to hit.

  • oh now i understand since its a street fight you may want to look at illegal boxing moves aswell as they are illegal for a reason. anyting goes in a street fight but if you get tired too quickly you may want to jog a bit it will help it did for me i have asthma and when i first started boxing i couldnt last 30 seconds without tiring but now i could go 6 rounds but i could go more i just got lazy with the stamina training at one point. if you dont know any illegal boxing moves just ask.

  • hehehe. yes please. illegal boxing moves are fine with me. the guy tried to kill me and threatened to bring a firearm next time so he forfeits his right to fair treatment. as for the getting tired i have three heart conditions, asthma, DID have half a collapsed lung and late stage hep c. i used to walk and sometiemes jog 14km but it's out of the question now. i try to give the bag in the kitchen (lol no, not wife) a belting and can last a bit longer. i'd rather beat this guy than shoot him tho!
