From the age of, what was called, "Doo Wop" but the song itself is MUCH older. It was written by Rodgers and Hart in 1934. The Marcels recorded this song in 1961 but it had been recorded by other artists - including Elvis (in 1956).

The Marcels are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio and their rendition of "Blue Moon" is listed under the "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll".

It's no wonder they say, "Rock and Roll is here to stay".
