i killed it with like 50 arrows, Compound Short Bow +3

i used a crossbow to kill him. sure theres no sipe mode for crossbows as there is for bows and hits is hard to shoot excatly where to fire.. but going to the same spot in this video and press l1 right when the dragon mad its roar before breathing fire. the load and fire time of the crossbow will take only long enough to where the dragon will be close enough where i can hit it.

Allant is giving me trouble , i killed the blue dragon and i am still looking for the red dragon , i don't know if that dragon is worth it though he only gives up 10k souls.

80~ arrows with a compound short bow +3. Ordinary arrows, 14 dex. Took about 16 minutes

@skyVirus9 The blacksmith in the Nexus that repairs your equipment. Instead of selecting "repair" select "buy" and they're there.

Actually you can see how it dies but this is hard with bow... after the last damage it tries to fly and flamebut it can't... in the endf alls down and blasts

Hey I got a new found. Do every one remember the that he also guard his boss in 1-1 right if you go shoot him there finish him at the fire bridge next to it. Don't go shoot him again at 1-2 tower or his health will reset and you going to waste your soul like me. Lucky I bring 300 arrow for this task so I can finish him off.

Holy Arrows should work faster. Vanguard took about 25 holy arrows with compound long bow with maybe 17 dex.

I don't understand why everyone shoots from the center opening and aims for the top of the archway. That creates a significantly smaller window of opportunity to hit the red dragon in the head. What I found much much MUCH easier was to aim from the right opening and find that sweet spot in the middle of the dragon's path where it is more or less heading straight towards you even if it is moving to the right a bit.

this only took me 75 arrows with the compound shortbow nearby, regular arrows too. So do headshots count? Cuz I had a good shot lined up the whole time lol

Can you kill the red dragon in 1-1? When you first see it on the bridge near the end of the level, you can hit it with Soul Arrow for decent damage, but when it got down to around 10% health, it stopped rushing the bridge, and disappeared from the hill where the blue dragon is (this is also useful for getting the Purple Flame Shield much earlier). Killing it with magic might take more precision, although you don't waste souls buying arrows, either.

@xTKGamerx The best place to get arrows is to buy them from Patches, the Hyena, who is a vendor in the nexus. But to get him to the nexus, you have to meet him in the real worlds twice. I think the first place is in 2-2, in the mines, near the big exploding slug that is hanging down, than preety much at the start 4-2, just jump down to where the death thing is, than go right. he tries to kill you again here just escape his trap, than talk to him again, and he is in the nexus.

@surematt Actually I only had to meet him once, and it's better to get him from 4-2 first. Reason being if you go to 2-2 and save him there, you WILL have him in the Nexus, but will disappear after you get to 4-2 until you save him again. If you do it in reverse, he won't disappear and you can get some of the best arrows for the rest of the game. =)

@doxara88 You don't. He flies off somewhere to die. His corpse doesn't hold anything at all.

@MakaiSenkiGames not true, his corpse has a special soul that I think is worth about 7k if you use it. If you killed him at the 1st tower, you will find it on the bridge in front, at 2nd tower, bridge in front of that, etc.

@hellucardlord the red dragons Small Flame Scale Demon's Soul is not worth anything to any merchant , it's only worth is 10,000 souls plus the 8,000 for just killing it so in total it's a nice chunk of change at 18,000 souls

@som1plzkilme its not a lot, in NEW GAME +2  you get 2500000 by completing shrine of storms the full world, which is really easy (obiously using the ring of avarice)

I ended up killing it in the same place as you, I just used the Soul Arrow spell instead. I tried using arrows, but Soul Arrow was slightly more powerful.

theres was an easier way casting Poison Cloud

Actually the easiest way is to use Morion Blade, Clever Rat's Ring, use Makoto to get to 1/3 HP, and then kill him within 20 arrows roughly.

I mean you could use poison cloud but it takes forever and for some reason he wasn't getting poisoned when I used the more advanced poison cloud spell. I don't know why he wasn't getting poisoned but this strategy only takes a couple of minutes with Morion, Clever Rat's Ring and a good bow.

Don't forget to mute your TV set you're playing the game on, otherwise you'll go insane from the annoying sound of dragon breath.

I made sure the video was short enough that people didn't go insane :P

If 1 minute of that irritates you, turn off the sound definitely :P
