  • Excellent gun and great video! I am actually trading up from my FNP9 to a FNX9 this weekend. Love the gun and only upgraded because I an get a higher grip on the gun... Is this a carry gun for you or just a range gun?

  • @natetinstman Both, not so much a summer carry gun though but it does hide will in the crossbreed supertuck. Im gonna mount it in my truck console eventually too.

  • thanks for not showing us the wiping of "gunk" off your hands with a towel

good looking pistol btw, i'm considering one

  • FN's possibly coming out with a striker-fired FNX. It'll be interesting to see how it fairs against the others out there.

  • @Bradley8787 oh really? Do you think they are going to try to make a compact? I would really like to see one from them, all their other pistols seem top notch so far.

  • @lookitcrashed I'm not sure about the compact, but its possible. I saw the striker-fired one on a proprietary website for FN, sort of a military-advertising thing (not for us civilians), though I'm sure FN's got a few things in the works. What I like about FN is they have something in pretty much all categories; whereas Glock is just pistols and Remington is mostly rifles and shotguns, FN does a little of everything, and they do it well.

  • Did you happen to buy the Shooter's Pack?

  • @cardiacthapoet I don't think so. Came with 3 mags, the extra backstraps and the case.

  • You're never suppose to load a round directly into the chamber, snap cap or not. Good way to fuck up your extractor.

  • @argonnj interesting, this video is the only time I think I've done that, but I never knew it could hurt anything. I'll avoid doing it, thanks.

  • Does the FNX series come in any finishes other than full black? (two-tone, desert tan, etc.)

  • @SPeacock Ive only seen 2 tone and black for now, eventually Im sure they will have more options like the FNP series. The fnp45 is pretty similar to the new fnx style and it comes in more finishes.

  • I think the FNX family of pistols is one of the best ever produced (that also includes the FNP 45 Tactical). If I had to choose one brand - FN, Glock, Beretta, SIG, H&K, etc... I'd choose FN. :)

  • how many you have in it now

    and still not 1 problem

i think fn is the best i have a fnx40

  • @GENODELMAROATL About 3000 through it now and not a problem. I did let a girl shoot it and it didn't feed one, I assumed that was from a limp wrist, she has only ever shot a handgun one other time and 9mm was too much for her lol, she like the .22. My 15 yard groups are getting better, keeping them about the size of my hand.

  • awsome vid bro. i'm south paw and about to get my first weapon. I'm considering the fnx and Grand Power's STI GP5. Would you mind doing some close ups of the trigger reset, decocker/safety functions (I heard slide can be operated with safety enguaged), and the slide rail. Then if time permits close up of the top and width of slide as well as the sights. Thanks.

  • @ZenPotion Yes the slide can be operated with the safety engaged. I will see if I can make any more videos, my little flip camcorder i used kinda went on the fritz.

  • how is the recoil on these? bouncing between a CZ p-07 and a FNX

  • Do these have a magazine safety disconnect?

  • @barccy you know, Im not sure, I really dont think it does. I will test it though next time I use it though.

  • @barccy I tested it, It does not, it shoots the round chambered with the magazine disconnected.

  • @lookitcrashed Thank you! I may get one then. I've got a 5.7 and have handled a Hi Power and definitely do not like that feature in those weapons. I was concerned it might be a universal thing among FN pistols.

  • @lookitcrashed Is that good or bad?

  • @SPeacock just preference, some people want no safeties, others want them all

  • Now this is the one with the new 17rd mags right?

  • @Shadowhunter712 sure is

  • @lookitcrashed Awesome:)

  • I love my FNX 9 great gun. Wish holsters selections weren't such a bitch though lol.

  • Looks like a great gun. Good review.

  • hows the trigger pull? nice vid ><

  • @losunimo88 I like it a lot, although I'm more familiar with it than the rugers and glocks I've shot. The double action is a little heavy for slow fire but plenty light to draw fast and get a round off. The single action is nice, breaks clean, watch my follow through with my trigger finger on the shooting video. You can see after each shot I slowly let my finger off the trigger just till it resets(clicks)

  • @lookitcrashed ic tanx!
