Jan. 20, 2012...just did this workout for the first time couple minutes ago. My time was 7:30:56 He's right-lots of burpees! LOL Think as I keep practicing it, I definitely can shorten my time under 7. Great workout!
Hey Jeff...First id like to say you are like my idol haha I am looking into becoming a trainer like you for a living....i really am dedicated to working and keeping my body in shape......btw i decided to give your challenge a try....my time was an exact 8:03
I have taken about 8 weeks off and not done a TAP of exercise. I am not looking forward to Monday at all when I restart. To think, I could have been 56 days into the programme! Ha ha. Thankfully, I am one of those chaps that has been used to training so this 8 week holiday will not be the death of me.. I get a lot of comfort in seeing Jeff struggle.
i did it in a little less then 6 mins and im proud of my self because im only 15... im going to slowly work my self in to doing this work out and than right after go in to the 300 work out, then maybe add in some other ones.... great work out very good!
Jeff this was a great workout. I did it today in 7:52, however my form started to suffer the further I got. I'm embarrassed by the quality of my hand stand push ups but since I've never done them before that's OK. For those who want to see, I videotaped it. I can't post a link in the comment, but search youtube for "athlean-x immortals challenge". Yes, I know my form broke down, just posting for those who want to see an average guy do this.
Thanks again Jeff for another great Athlean workout.
seems very nice workout. i'll try it. just wanted to ask a question, actually two. a)how often this workout should be done? (like daily or twice or thrice a week?) and (b) what this workout actually aims for? as in general full body training, fat burning etc.?
well let's just say that kicked my ass. maybe i should have picked something slightly easier to start my workouts with again. Nah, i'm glad i did it. even after almost a month off recovering from a back injury and feeling under the wheather for the past 2 weeks i still just completed the workout in 10:30. I know cutting it a little close but it was a solid time after my recovery period. I'm happy with it but i know i can do better and will do better.
@LeopardaProductions Yes...in fact I believe he also gives you a house, two cars of your choice, a first class plane ticket anywhere in the world and a golden ticket to the playboy mansion when you buy it! Holy shit?!? The dude's program is worth it's weight in gold and you need him to throw in equipment!!
@superscorpionking90 Im just asking for what comes with the program because i already have a home gym, the only thing i dont have is the dip station. Do you ever go to a store and buy a new product without looking at what it has?
alhough i train athlean-x style and eating healthy food for a while i still have this belly that just dont want to go away and i'm not look lean so much.
i'm looking like a well builded man only if i wear a tight shirt.
i'm twenty years old, my weight is 72 kilograms (i'm from europe, dont know how much pounds is it) and my height is 1.78 centimiters
Hey Jeff I'd like suggest that u and whoever else may help u with this look into design a workout program specifically for increasing running speed because a lot of athletes probly woulld probly need that and I'd like to hear your thoughts
can you please explain to me why you dont have to warm up for body weight but you have to with weights machine. the answer would be cause its easyer to do say press ups over barbell bench press. how does this work with wide grip pull downs please? people do warm up sets then working sets with machine. but people who are new to weight lifting they can do body weight pull ups with out warm up sets even though its more harder for them? its confused me ? injurys? help please answer this time
@Dguzman416 Strength bodyweight training that a martial artist ever needs: Leg raises (Up to V leg raises) 1 arm pullups, 1 arm pushups, uneven pushup handstands, Stand to stand bridges (Upto flikflaks) 1 leg squats.
Planches, planche pushups.
if it's to easy for you try to do them at an ultra slow speed. like in 2 seconds up-no rest - 5 second down- 2 seconds rest. I can promise you that even the strongest man in the world, or the best fighter in the world still get benefits out of those.
the single squat was new to me and very intense! I left out the push ups because my chest is spent from yesterday. Other than that I was pretty comfortable. I used it as a warm up for my leg lifts and it kept my heart rate up through the entire workout!
Could you do something on Wrestling strength? It'd be very much appreciated and I'm sure people would do it, even though they don't wrestle. Thanks if you do, or don't.
Watsup, ive been having this problem because i don't know whether to stop weightlifting or not, I am 14 years old and i am 5'10, Ive been weightlifting for about 3 months and seen a lot of improvement, ive heard a myth that like doing weight stop your growth process, should i continue weightlifting or stop and just do bodyweight excersices, what do you reccomend? I will appreciatte it a lot if you message me back.Thanks.
@tavo4060 Lifting when you're young doesn't stop your growth process. If anything, you produce more testosterone, stimulating growth. Even if you did stop, 5'10 is a pretty good height to do it at. If you're worried about not growing, don't lift heavy and do tons of body-weight stuff.
@ laureah21 I don't think this workout is intended for the average couch potato who stands to injure his joints by training with an advanced body weight circuit involving some impact movements aimed at strengthening and protecting the very joint/s affected
@TightlipsJohnny No it is not for beginners, tremendous stress is placed on the musoskeletal system when doing plyometric excercises but this doesn't stop people doing it. Even athletes progress into box jumps and most step off to protect joints. I am talking from an educated references. Most physiotherepapists and strength and conditioning coaches advise against. I say for the sake of arthritis in old age it is worth taking there advice.
Hey Jeff i had a question,I know you did a video on a chest press vs a chest fly, so i was wondering which was more affective a dumbell curl or a hammerhead curl.
The best part about this video is we can see Jeff really kick his own ass! It's never easy for anyone. The hardest part is the mindset to do it. Great job Jeff. Everyone can see he how hard he trains and the real results he gets from it! I have refered alot a people to his program and tube.

im also looking for some advice , im 15, 5'11 and have been working out for over a year now i have achieved alot of my goals and have a well defined six pack+ look great but im still want to get better whats ur advice , what should i be specificaly doing to totally evenout my body (look like an athelete)
@IIToXicShadowII did you do the whole athleanX? there are over a hundred exercises that hit every part of your body. how's your nutrition? it's one thing to not have fat but are you feeding your body the nutrients it needs to be strong and healthy. athleanx has all that and is well worth the price. that will give you a great nutrition plan and teach you nutrition and a way of exercising you can expand on forever.

7:08, this workout felt good, it was hard, i tried to do it a second time but on the last 3 sets of burpees the form was horrible mostly cause i was dying from the workout,
I love your vidoes im recovering from several knee operations and some of your exercises have really helped to help strengthen my leg back up, my physio was quite impressed. Keep up the good work your an awesome guy
Jeff thanks for your workout. I am not on the program, but i will get it, plus your supplements. Im 18, an aspiring actor, so changing my body, toning up, and getting ripped are for my benefit. You, my friend, are a hardworking man and a great example, mentor, and athlete. Have a great week Jeff, peace.
@jor1199 think he was showing those who can't do the back handstand to wall how you can complete the workout by walking your body into the wall and doing handstand push-ups using this technique till your strong enough to do it normally..
Great workout Jeff...however, I would suggest to everyone that the proper way to get into the Handstand Pushup is to move your hands closer to the wall so your body in fully vertical, not slanted. Even if you only do one or two reps to start, you will build up the strength to do kore in time. So again, feet up the wall, then walk your hands backwards closer to the wall to be vertical.
Great workout! What's the song called?

@kingunderaroof this isn't about me, but since you asked, i can in fact do handstand pushups. But back to Jeff, that was pathetic

You call that handstand pushups ! You didn't even to one full rep
jor1199 3 months ago
@jor1199 Yeah 'cause you can even do a handstand....
KingUnderARoof 3 months ago
@jor1199 think he was showing those who can't do the back handstand to wall how you can complete the workout by walking your body into the wall and doing handstand push-ups using this technique till your strong enough to do it normally..
Good workout tho :)
katoyushiromitsu 3 months ago
Great workout Jeff...however, I would suggest to everyone that the proper way to get into the Handstand Pushup is to move your hands closer to the wall so your body in fully vertical, not slanted. Even if you only do one or two reps to start, you will build up the strength to do kore in time. So again, feet up the wall, then walk your hands backwards closer to the wall to be vertical.
