@sunshine98621 - Yes, it's ok to use goat milk cottage cheese. If you Google for a recipe for homemade cottage cheese, I'm sure you'll find several on the web or even some videos here on youtube.
Thank you for taking the time to make this informative video. I have been through cancer twice and now my lovely cat has a tumour on her amputated leg. I am going to try this with her, since she's quite healthy (otherwise) and the vets say fibrosarcoma just returns after surgery etc. I also can not afford the 4,000 amputation/tumour removal. Thank You for your time. :)
Thanks for the great video. This recipe was suggested to me for my adrenal fatigue. Does that sound right to you? Also, If I don't have that electric mixer you showed, can I mix it thoroughly-but-gently enough with a whisk or blender?
@escapeclaus - Many people say they have more energy as a result of consuming this recipe. It's much better to make it with an immersion blender like the one I use in the video. You can buy one at Walmart or a department store for under $20.00 if you look for a sale. It's definitely worth it. The mix will taste better & will be digested more fully.
@mrttou - It's best to eat it twice a day so that your body metabolizes some of it at two different times, keeping more of it flowing to and healing your cells. I'm glad you like the video.
@queenzmorskivic - The FULL Budwig diet can help reduce both blood pressure & weight. To read the full diet, you need to go to my website - the address is above the video. I hope you'll try it & see the difference. Best wishes.
@agrypneite - I don't know of any people with MS who have tried it. Dr. Budwig didn't name MS as one of the health conditions that it would help. We've had many success stories from cancer patients as well as some with heart problems, asthma, diabetes and arthritis. Testimonials from our forum members are on my site - the address is above the video. This recipe is one part of the full Budwig plan which is explained on my site.
@Budwigdiet hi, i'm 40, and i have a tiny tumor on my prostate, now i read the flax seed, and cottage cheese can do wonders for cancer, but not prostate cancer, iit can make the condition worse. i don't know what to believe, can you give me advice? i'm eating broccoli, and tomatoes, selenium, pomagrade, red grapes, apples, carrots, spinach, fish oil, green tea, and i cut down on red meat, and dairy. thank you! john.
@TheRedtaz - Yes, this will help to stop prostate cancer & will improve prostate health. If you go to my website,
you can read several testimonials from our forum members. The site address is above the video. There, you can read the full Budwig plan for stopping cancer. It's best to stop eating meat & sugars. Both are cancer promoters. Go to Budwig-Videos
@Budwigdiet hi, o.k. i bought 1000 mg flax seed oil, i hate cottage cheese, can i use yogurt. how many flax seed oil should i mix with the yogurt? thank's.
@TheRedtaz - When you write that you bought 1000 mg flax seed oil, it sounds as though you're referring to capsules. You need liquid flax seed oil like what I use in the video. If you want to use yogurt, it has to be drained of most of the whey so that it's sulphurated proteins are more dense. The density allows the bond with the oil. Use cheese cloth & drain while it's in the fridge. Then use the same amount that I use in the video - 3 Tbs oil to 6 Tbs cheese. Blend the two very well.
@TheJerita - For someone with cancer or another health problem, it's important to consume this recipe twice a day. The taste & texture can be varied by adding different fruits or even savory foods such as garlic & onions. The full Budwig healing plan can be read on my site, the address is above the video. If you don't have cancer or another condition, but want to use the recipe to help prevent disease, eat the mixture once a day & avoid unhealthy foods & practices.
@brrag - A 7 yr old child would eat the amount that feels right for him or her. It might be half or a third of the
full amount that is recommended for adults depending on the child's appetite. The same guidelines apply to whether it's eaten once or twice a day. For a child, you want to make sure the recipe tastes good by using favorite fruits and extras such as raw honey or cinnamon.
@kalkeikuu - Dr. Budwig didn't recommend any substitutions. When asked about people who were sensitive to dairy, she replied that she had not found any patient who had problems with the combination of the oil and cheese when well blended. Blending the two foods seems to help people metabolize them without a reaction. See the full Budwig nutrition plan at my site. The address is above the video. People with diabetes have been helped.
@bharrod - Some people have reported that flax seed oil has helped with symptoms such as headaches and muscle pains, but it won't eliminate viruses or heavy metals that might be involved.
Is it ok to use Flaxseed oil that is high in lignins? Was it just because that might cost more that you said not to use it? Also if I've had the oil in the refrigerator is it ok to use it if it's out of date?
@Hiram1899 - Yes, it's OK if the oil is high in lignans, but cheaper to buy plain flax seed oil. If you grind your own flax seeds, you'll be getting plenty of lignans in the recipe. Regarding the oil in your refrigerator, see if it has an expiration date stamped on it. If the oil is closed and refrigerated, it will usually last a couple months or more.
@bharrod - Organic is healthier, but people have gotten well using non-organic cottage cheese blended well with flax seed oil --- along with following the rest of the Budwig plan which you can read about at the address above the video.
@whatsreal12 - Thank you. I have made more videos about the full Budwig healing plan. They are on my site, the link to the site is above. It's called Budwig-Videos. I hope you will visit.
i just wanted to make another side note regarding Brazil Nuts. i read that overconsumption can lead to toxic overdose of selenium. Though it has anti-
cancer properties it is recommended to be consumed about an oucne or about 5 pieces per day. usually to be on the safe side i just consumed about once or twice a week and substitute in with other nuts like almond, cashew or etc. whatever you prefer nuts .
Thank you so much for your video. I am very impressed by Dr. Budwig. The problem is I am a vegan. Is there a vegan substitute for cottage cheese and if so, how do I make it myself please ?
@wonderofthemind - Dr. Budwig said that there are no substitutes for quark or cottage cheese. Quark can be made with yogurt or kefir as well as goat's milk. They each must be strained for several hours and made into a cheese similar to cottage cheese in density.
Can i ask a question? i read alot of article saying that milk either non fat or low fat is increasing the risk of canser so if it is added on the Budwigs Protocol recipe it is already against on a lot of article that most of them is based on a lot of Research Institute. So it is really confusing...hope you can help me!
@jonasandi - It's best to use organic milk if possible. Most studies about milk include people who eat a typical diet with high amounts of meats, ice cream, butter, processed foods, snacks with trans fats, etc. However, The China Study book, for one, includes research showing that milk & cheese that is less than 6 or 7% of total calories can turn off cancer growth & stop the disease. The Budwig full nutrition plan contains less than 5% dairy & no unhealthy foods. Read my site for more info.
Thank You for the demo. After reading the budwig diet cookbook i was a bit confused as to how to prepared it . i didn't know what linomel or quark was or how to obtained it as it was only sold in europe. But i'ved read about that flaxseed oil must be refrigerated cause can go rancid if it is heated temperature or in room temperature more than twenty minutess. Anyways i usually buy mine cold press straight from the health food stored.
@TommyLi21 - I'm glad the video helped! After the flax seed oil container is opened, then it needs to be refrigerated except when using it for a few minutes. The oil/cheese recipe should be eaten within about 20 minutes or placed in a small open mouth thermos for those who want to take it to work. Your purchase of cold-pressed flax oil is the best choice.
@Arc8609 - For people with cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, this recipe should be consumed two times a day along with the rest of the Budwig diet. You can read the full nutrition and general healing plan on my website. The URL is above the video. If you want to use this recipe for prevention, one time a day may be enough. It also depends on your size and appetite.
@dodibatzion - Dr. Budwig didn't recommend any substitutions. When asked about people who were sensitive to dairy, she replied that she had not found any patient who had problems with the combination of the oil and cheese when well blended.
Does a person have to eat the ground flax seeds at the same time? I would rather put the ground flax seeds in my smoothie. I use 1/3 cup flax seed oil with 2/3 cup of organic cottage and fresh fruit.
@123cranberry - You can consume the ground flax seeds at a different time if you wish. This recipe can be made into a smoothie by adding extra fruit juice or milk.
Thank you for helping so many people. You helped me by helping a friend who referred me to this vid. Thank you. May the Lord bless you all the days of your life. Thank you.
in my readings i only recall the flax seed oil and cottage cheese- emulsified. although the rest of the recipe is very nice- are you stating that this is how it must be done. or is it basically the flax seed oil and cottage cheese?
@dominique612 - The recipe that I show is the one that Dr. Budwig recommended in her books and articles that explain her program. For the full Budwig healing plan, please use the URL above my video to go to my site and find out more.
Hey, Sandra! Thanks for your expertise! I'm about to start my regime and was wondering - does it matter if the flaxseed oil contains high lignan or will reg. cold-pressed oil be sufficient? Both are organic and cold-pressed. Thanks for your help!
@kimtvkitten - You're welcome! Plain flax seed oil is preferred over high lignan. I explain that in the video. You don't need to pay extra for high lignan oil when you are grinding your own flax seeds. They contain lignans.
I like to include unfiltered raw honey in my mixture as a sweetner. I find it very nice. And, I always include fruit--usually on the side along with walnuts. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis years ago and it was suggested that I have surgery. But since I've included the flax/cottage cheese in my diet, along with home-made yogurt properly fermented my problem has been eliminated--and with NO surgery. It goes to show that this is helpful for many ailments as well as for cancer.
I have found some organic cottage cheese locally available, but with 6g of fat per 100g. This is the lowest fat content I can find. Is this OK? Or should I use non-organic low fat cottage cheese?
In other words is it more important for the cottage cheese to be organic or low fat, if one can't find the ideal combination of both?
Ohhkay... So I'm trying to get my cat to eat this but he won't (I'm loving it myself). What can I add to the mixture to get him to eat it? I've tried his favorite thing - tuna. Is there something I can add for a cat to make it more soupy? And then I could try and squirt some into his mouth with a medicine syringe. And can I try blending tuna into the mixture with the blender? Thank you!
@Oehtkralc - You can add milk to make it more liquidy. Tuna or sardines are both okay for cats. Those foods are not part of the diet for humans but for cats, they are okay.
I think Barlean's Forti-Flax label is mis-leading. Please post this. Barlean's does NOT sell whole flax seeds at all. I just discovered from their site. And the one flax seed product they do sell does not have WHOLE FLAX SEEDS. I did buy their oil.
What if you are lactose intolerant what should use or is cottage cheese okay. I have been researching online and have found coflicting data. Please help.
@magicly24 Yes, it has helped many people with diabetes. Plz go to my site and read the full Budwig plan. The address for the site is above the video. You need to do more than just the recipe in the video. Low fat yogurt can be used if you drain it for several hours to make it thicker. Then, use the same ratio as the cottage cheese.
@lindakiang - I don't know whether it would work for that purpose or not. The recipe is delicious. You could certainly try it as it's very healthful for many reasons.
This Recipe only costs......58 cents per serving!!!!!
$10.99 for 16oz. Flax seed oil, at least at a store near me....$3.79-ish for the Nancy's Organic Low Fat Cottage Cheese also 16oz. I rounded up the fractions.
34 cents for the 1tbs Flax seed oil. 24 cents for the 2tbs. C. C..... 58 cents is rounded up...
$1.16 for two servings a day. That is $34.80 USD per month....
No wonder something like this drives the American Cancer Society CRAZY!!!!!!
I am trying this on a cat that is almost 5yrs of age who has malignant fibrosarcoma, very agressive tumours. he doesnt mind the mixture but my question is: is it possible to make enough for say 24hrs and leave in the fridge, problem is, as his having such small amount its terribly hard for the stick blender to blend it and its next to impossible to blend such a small amount by hand. the stick blender just doesnt reach it due to the small size!!! advice please!
@impij - Blend one Tbs of oil with 3 Tbs of cottage cheese, give the cat what he needs and eat the rest yourself as it is a preventative for various diseases and conditions. It's good for the whole family. It's better to make it fresh each time rather than storing it as storing will cause it to lose some benefits.
My 84-year old aunt in Miami swears that this diet cured her of uterine cancer, after three courses shrunk, but did not dissolve the tumor. According to her, three months of the diet dissolved her tumor and lowered her CA-125 marker.
How often is it suggested to consume this concoction? I think I read somewhere, daily.. However, would the same effects no be achieved eating it bi-daily or perhaps at latest tri-daily?
@zainyochka - Dr. Budwig suggested eating the mix 2 or 3 times daily. Be sure you are eating the rest of her diet as well. You can read the full Budwig program on my site. The address is above the video. For prevention or healing, you really need to try to follow the full plan as closely as possible.
CAN YOU ADD SHARK CARTILAGE TO MIX? My dog has thyroid cancer that spread to lungs, it's advanced. He still has energy and is hungry, Is it ok to give with mixture for a canine? Also can they have beef, chicken on top or as separate meal. I give him broccoli and carrot, apple on occasion, do vegetable have to be raw or can broccoli be steamed? Is 2x per day enough for CC and Flax. Thanks for your quick advice!
@AllNaturElle1 - Research has shown that shark cartilege is not successful in fighting cancer. It's better not to add man-made supplements of any kind to the mix. Give your dog beef & chicken at a separate meal. Meats and vegetables are better for dogs if given in their raw form. 2x per day is enough to give the CC and flax oil.
@LukeL007 - Yogurt can be used if it's drained of it's whey for several hours and turned into cheese. The oil needs a certain amount of density of sulphurated proteins in the cheese in order to bond with them. That's very important. So, yogurt alone is not good to use - some websites erroneously say that it's OK but they're wrong. In fact, there's a lot of misinformation on the web about Budwig. Go to my website, address is above the video, to read the full Budwig plan.
If I'm making this for a dog, how much fat should be in the cottage cheese? 2% good, or should it be less or more? I heard dogs with cancer need more fat and protein than humans do, so I was just curious.
@Budwigdiet Thanks for the reply. I have another question: is the flaxseed oil in gelcap supplements more concentrated than the standard flaxseed oil you describe? Can they be used in the same amounts, and if not, how much less should be used?
@Dirtfire - Capsules of flax oil won't work in this program. Watch the video again. Notice that I stress the importance of blending and bonding the liquid oil with the cheese. The emulsion of the two is what allows the oil to be easily digested and metabolized so that it is carried to the cells that need it. See my website to read more about the Budwig plan. The address is above.
What about children, would this diet help a girl of 8 with brain tumour who is after operation and without hope of recovering? From what I read this is more for adults? I hope not. Have many table spoons of flax seed oil would a 8 yrs old child need?
@agatka2007 - Yes, it could help. It has helped adults recover from brain tumors. Cut the amounts in the recipe in half for her. This is only one part of the FULL Budwig plan. Go to my site to read the rest of it. See the address above the video
Also I have been adding Soya milk at the blending stage (being dairy intolerant) but I notice one of your posts which says dont add water as it interferes with the bond between CC and oil. (Soya milk is mostly water!). Should I add the soya milk therefore afterwards or doesnt it matter.
@leonskie1 - Soya milk shouldn't be used. It won't help. Use the address above the video to go to my site. Click on the flax oil/cottage cheese video link to find other suggestions to replace cottage cheese.
@Budwigdiet. Thanks for response. Bit of a misunderstanding, I think. I AM using flax oil + cottage cheese (3:6 tbs). My question was about if I could add soya milk AFTER fully blending the FOCC simply to make it thinner (instead of using milk).
Thanks Sandra for putting me on to this. I have shared it with many friends too.
Thanks for your video. I bought a hand blender and for 10 days I have been making FOCC in treatment of my Candida\leaky gut syndrome. I wonder is it good for this? Ive been eating up to 4 tbs oil + CC a day (with nuts and berries) and noticed smooth skin and hair, much improved energy and sense of strength but it has also at times resulted in a cloggy head. (I guess the fruits and berries have to go with Candida?)
Yes, there are testimonials from people with brain tumors who regained their health using only the FULL Budwig plan. The recipe in the video is only one part of that plan. Please see my website to read the rest of the plan. The URL is above the video.
Thank you for your answer. I now have another question: while waiting for your answer I called a Budwig Diet Clinic here in Spain to find out what they use as cottage cheese. The person I talked to, after asking me if I had cancer, told me that without Formula FC, which they sell, the Budwig Diet has been ineffective in fighting the cancer I have and several other cancers. I was very disappointed to hear that and would love to receive your comments. Thank you.
The Budwig Clinic in Spain seems to add costly extras to the Budwig plan that are not necessary. Dr. Budwig healed cancer patients for 50 years with only the foods in her plan, sun therapy & stress reduction. Thousands of other people have healed without seeing Dr. B. but following her program. None of them used Formula FC, which I've never heard of before & I've worked with cancer patients for 5 yrs. See my website for testimonials of patients in my forum who got well without this product.
Cottage cheese alone, without flax seeds or flax seed oil, is not a cancer fighter. It is added only to bond with the oil so that the oil becomes more easily digested and metabolized, allowing it to reach the cells and help to heal them.
Where I live there is no cottage cheese, let alone low-fat cottage cheese. What they offer as a substitute is "requeson", which is a fresh smooth cheese. Will it be acceptable? Please let me know as I am eager to start taking this combination. Thank you.
You want a high protein, low fat cheese. For example, the cottage cheese that I use in the video has 1 gram of fat & 14 grams of protein. Can you find out how much fat & protein requeson has? If the protein is too low & the fat too high, you could you make cottage cheese from skim milk. You can learn to make it by Googling the info. It's easy. But, this recipe alone will not stop cancer. See my site for the full Budwig plan. The address is above the video.
Yes, that would be OK. Be sure he stops all other saturated animal fats. See my site for the rest of the Budwig healing plan. The site address is above the video. He will need to follow the full plan of rejuvenating, anti-cancer foods and stop eating cancer promoting foods.
Thank you so much for this video! I want to do this as a preventative. But, my little chihuahua has had mammary tumors twice. I've heard of people givng it to their dogs, but too much oil can cause pancreatic problems in them. Any suggestions on how to also use this for dogs, but maybe w/ less oil?
Blend the oil well with the cottage cheese and give your dog a small amount. See if he likes it. Ask your vet how much oil is safe. It could be that only half a teaspoon of the oil & cheese blend is enough to help a small dog.
@Chandrala7 I also have a chihuahua with thyroid carcinoma removed, though portion left settled in lungs. I am giving him shark cartilage and wanted to know if would be ok to add to mixture. Along with meat on top or as a separate meal?? He can still have meat being a canine, correct?
Yes, unlike humans, dogs need meat. Recent scientific studies say that shark cartilage is not helpful in fighting cancer. Add the flax oil/cottage cheese mixture to your dog's meal or give it in a separate meal, whichever way he likes it.
I am confused about something. The Budwig diet makes your body alkaline correct? If so can I add the sodium bicarbonate treatment to the Budwig diet so I can make sure her body is alkaline? I am reading the sodium bicarbonate is good for mouth tumors and thats what I am trying to treat.
@IplayforGodinHeaven Yes, the full Budwig nutrition plan is balanced so that your body is alkaline to the right degree. See the full Budwig plan at my website as shown above the video. If you want to rinse your mouth with sodium bicarbonate, you could do so.
I just made my first batch of this mix with 4 tablespoons of cottage cheese, 2 tablespoons of Flaxseed oil and added the ground up Flaxseed after blending the oil and cheese. I added a little milk and threw in a bunch of blueberries. Am I supposed to eat 2 batches of this a day and if so, is the idea to hide (kill) the taste with berries and nuts? It taste like bland pablum and I almost gagged, but will continue? Let me know.
For better taste, you may need to blend the two foods longer. Bonding them well changes the taste. Also, be sure you're adding about a cup of fruit after blending. I love the taste of well blended FO & CC but I do always add fruit because it's also a cancer fighter & highly nutritious food choice. If you have cancer, then 2 servings a day of this recipe is needed. If you're healthy, one serving is enough. See my site for the rest of the Budwig plan information.
You may need to blend the oil & cheese more so that no oil is separated & the two foods are bonded very well. Then add about a cup of fresh fruit as well as ground flax seeds. Also, add some milk or fruit juice at the end if the mix is too thick. Some people need to start with a smaller amount & work up. Hopefully, these suggestions will help. Please go to my site to read about the rest of the Budwig plan.
I just realized that I used Organic Vallery full fat cottage cheese instead of lowfat and the curd was much larger than what you used. Perhaps this is what made it super sticky like dough? =) I'm trying to make this for my dad who is dealing with sm cell lung cancer & can only eat soft blended foods. Thank you for any input!
Thank you for posting this video. I tried this recipe for the first time but I'm not sure I did it right because mine turned out with a dough like consistency. I thinned it out some with milk but it was still real sticky. The one you made looks more like pudding. I ground the flax seeds real fine. Should they be coarse? What could I have done wrong? Thanks for any help! God bless!
Dr. Budwig includes herbal teas in her diet. Pau D'Arco is an herb rather than a drug and can be bought at health food stores in various forms. It does affect cancer and other conditions. Go to my site for more information. The address is above the video.
I mix turmeric spice and green tea powder into his cottage cheese 2 times a day also... It can be found on amazon or like a asian spice house i guess. About $10 a OZ
I have a 170 pound Great Dane that was diagnosed with osteosarcoma bone cancer 6 months ago and I've had him on the budwig diet from the start along with chemo. He's been a raw eater his whole life and is doing GREAT. I don't want to get to happy, but he is showing now signs of it metastasizing in his lungs yet so the chances of him living longer get better and better every 6 months he makes it longer....
The ratio is always one part oil to two parts cheese. Start with just 1 teaspoon of
oil blended with 2 tsp of cottage cheese one time a day and see how your cat tolerates it. Add it to some tuna or sardines. If that amount is digested well, try giving a second serving per day. That may be enough for a cat. Be sure also that the rest of your cat's diet is good quality food.
You can make cottage cheese from yogurt, kefir or milk. Type the words, make cottage cheese, into Google and you'll see many recipes. Other than the protein in cottage cheese or quark, nothing else bonds with the oil to make it more digestible so that it metabolizes and is carried to the cells where it's needed.
Just mixed up this recipe this morning using the 2 tbs Flax oil and 2 tbs flax seeds some peaches and 4 tbs yogurt. It was pretty good actually. Tommorow we try adding strawberrys. I will see if it helps type 2 Diabetes.
To make to oil bond with yogurt, you need to strain it so that it's thicker, containing more sulfurated proteins that attach to the oil, making it water soluable & easier to metabolize. That's how it gets to the cells. For diabetes, following the full Budwig diet would help. Go to my site for more info. The address is at the top of the video.
Dr. Budwig never used or recommended a substitute and said people tolerated the cheese when it was blended with the oil. Also, most people can easily digest one or two Tbs of oil by itself. If you don't have cancer, taking even that amount each day can stop various conditions and give the body a good dose of essential fatty acids.
i have a tumor in my head which is benign, and i am going to try this because i don't want to go back to surgery! i mixed in a pinch of turmeric and black pepper and it turned out to be really delicious. how important is the refrigerated vs. non refrigerated oil?
My cat was diagnosed with incureable cancer. She is healthy in every aspect except she has a tumor on her tongue that is malignent. I have heard this diet may help or even cure (by miracle) her cancer.
I'll try anything, how do I mix this diet for my cat? And do you advise me to stop feeding her meat or anything else? Do you advise only feeding her this diet, or combined with other foods? PLEASE REPLY SOON thank you so much!
Blend flax oil & cottage cheese as I do in the video but in smaller amounts. Add some to your cats food. Include raw meats & tuna plus raw vegetables. Cats need more animal protein than humans.
Other animals have been helped by using these foods daily. Avoid canned foods.
See an article at budwig-videos, be sure to include the dash between the words, which is a new change. Best wishes.
It's really easy to incorporate Budwig spread into meals and snacks. You use the basic cottage cheese & flax oil and add in herbs and spices. If you have cancer you would stay away from srong herbs (according to Gerson protocol) but normally herbs are excellent. Try things in it like garlic, cayenne, chives, red bell pepper, turmeric, dill...it makes a great mayo substitute for sandwiches, a tasty dip for raw vegetables, and a good butter substitute for a baked potato.
Thanx for the video- I have a dilema though. I want to start my 9 year old golden ret. on this diet. She was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma in her liver last week. The vet started her on chemo because she was about to die. She was anemic because the cancer was attacking her blood, and she had no appetite. The vet put her on the Cancer Diet, which is NO COMMERCIAL dog food at all, and all lean meat and vegetables. Will this diet work with her current eating plan, since its meat based? And chemo?
You have a good vet. Dogs need real meat and vegetables, not commericial dog foods that are made from grains or fatty meats. Because the cancer is in the liver, which helps to digest fats, begin by adding only one teaspoon of flax oil mixed with one Tbs of cottage cheese to your dog's food. Stay at that amount for a few days. If he digests it without a problem, increase it a little, working up to one Tbs oil blended with 2 Tbs. cottage cheese one or 2 times a day. Even with Chemo, it can help
It might help because he will be getting essential fatty acids in the flax oil. Everyone needs those EFA's in order for the body and brain to function normally. Avoiding saturated animal fats could also help.
we are doing budwig at home using quark it's non organic. my mother is worried about it being non organic and detrimental to the process. she's worried about cow hormones and steroids. what can you tell us? she doesn't want to o something that is bad for her. obviously when dr. budwig formulated this, cows weren't on steroids...
I joined the budwig diet yahoo forum. The recipes are easy and delicious to make. Sandra is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks for the video. Quick question, Is it ok to add honey for sweetness? Will it make the recipe less effective if i do?
TheRealTJErnie 1 month ago
@TheRealTJErnie - Yes, a teaspoon of honey can be added. It shouldn't be more than that. Raw honey is even better as it has more nutrients.

Is it ok to use goat milk cottage cheese as well ?
Do you have a recipe for homemade cottage cheese ?
Thanks

Hello and than you for posting this informative video. My question is; has this helped multiple sclerosis patients?

@agrypneite - I don't know of any people with MS who have tried it. Dr. Budwig didn't name MS as one of the health conditions that it would help. We've had many success stories from cancer patients as well as some with heart problems, asthma, diabetes and arthritis. Testimonials from our forum members are on my site - the address is above the video. This recipe is one part of the full Budwig plan which is explained on my site.

@Budwigdiet hi, i'm 40, and i have a tiny tumor on my prostate, now i read the flax seed, and cottage cheese can do wonders for cancer, but not prostate cancer, iit can make the condition worse. i don't know what to believe, can you give me advice? i'm eating broccoli, and tomatoes, selenium, pomagrade, red grapes, apples, carrots, spinach, fish oil, green tea, and i cut down on red meat, and dairy. thank you! john.

@Budwigdiet hi, o.k. i bought 1000 mg flax seed oil, i hate cottage cheese, can i use yogurt. how many flax seed oil should i mix with the yogurt? thank's.
TheRedtaz 3 months ago
@TheRedtaz - When you write that you bought 1000 mg flax seed oil, it sounds as though you're referring to capsules. You need liquid flax seed oil like what I use in the video. If you want to use yogurt, it has to be drained of most of the whey so that it's sulphurated proteins are more dense. The density allows the bond with the oil. Use cheese cloth & drain while it's in the fridge. Then use the same amount that I use in the video - 3 Tbs oil to 6 Tbs cheese. Blend the two very well.

TheJerita 9 months ago
@TheJerita - For someone with cancer or another health problem, it's important to consume this recipe twice a day. The taste & texture can be varied by adding different fruits or even savory foods such as garlic & onions. The full Budwig healing plan can be read on my site, the address is above the video. If you don't have cancer or another condition, but want to use the recipe to help prevent disease, eat the mixture once a day & avoid unhealthy foods & practices.

would a 7 yr old child eat the same amount? and should it be eaten more than once a day?
brrag 9 months ago
@brrag - A 7 yr old child would eat the amount that feels right for him or her. It might be half or a third of the
full amount that is recommended for adults depending on the child's appetite. The same guidelines apply to whether it's eaten once or twice a day. For a child, you want to make sure the recipe tastes good by using favorite fruits and extras such as raw honey or cinnamon.

I am borderline diabetic. I want to fix it, but I am allergic to dairy. Is there any alternative?
kalkeikuu 9 months ago
@kalkeikuu - Dr. Budwig didn't recommend any substitutions. When asked about people who were sensitive to dairy, she replied that she had not found any patient who had problems with the combination of the oil and cheese when well blended. Blending the two foods seems to help people metabolize them without a reaction. See the full Budwig nutrition plan at my site. The address is above the video. People with diabetes have been helped.

Will this work on people who have Lyme Disease, or ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) or MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity)??

Is it ok to use Flaxseed oil that is high in lignins? Was it just because that might cost more that you said not to use it? Also if I've had the oil in the refrigerator is it ok to use it if it's out of date?
Hiram1899 1 year ago
@Hiram1899 - Yes, it's OK if the oil is high in lignans, but cheaper to buy plain flax seed oil. If you grind your own flax seeds, you'll be getting plenty of lignans in the recipe. Regarding the oil in your refrigerator, see if it has an expiration date stamped on it. If the oil is closed and refrigerated, it will usually last a couple months or more.
Budwigdiet 1 year ago
Does the cottage cheese have to be organic?
bharrod 1 year ago

i just wanted to make another side note regarding Brazil Nuts. i read that overconsumption can lead to toxic overdose of selenium. Though it has anti-
cancer properties it is recommended to be consumed about an oucne or about 5 pieces per day. usually to be on the safe side i just consumed about once or twice a week and substitute in with other nuts like almond, cashew or etc. whatever you prefer nuts .

Thank you.
wonderofthemind 1 year ago
@wonderofthemind - Dr. Budwig said that there are no substitutes for quark or cottage cheese. Quark can be made with yogurt or kefir as well as goat's milk. They each must be strained for several hours and made into a cheese similar to cottage cheese in density.

Can i ask a question? i read alot of article saying that milk either non fat or low fat is increasing the risk of canser so if it is added on the Budwigs Protocol recipe it is already against on a lot of article that most of them is based on a lot of Research Institute. So it is really confusing...hope you can help me!
jonasandi 1 year ago

TommyLi21 1 year ago
@TommyLi21 - I'm glad the video helped! After the flax seed oil container is opened, then it needs to be refrigerated except when using it for a few minutes. The oil/cheese recipe should be eaten within about 20 minutes or placed in a small open mouth thermos for those who want to take it to work. Your purchase of cold-pressed flax oil is the best choice.

$10.99 for 16oz. Flax seed oil, at least at a store near me....$3.79-ish for the Nancy's Organic Low Fat Cottage Cheese also 16oz. I rounded up the fractions.
34 cents for the 1tbs Flax seed oil. 24 cents for the 2tbs. C. C..... 58 cents is rounded up...
$1.16 for two servings a day. That is $34.80 USD per month....

I am trying this on a cat that is almost 5yrs of age who has malignant fibrosarcoma, very agressive tumours. he doesnt mind the mixture but my question is: is it possible to make enough for say 24hrs and leave in the fridge, problem is, as his having such small amount its terribly hard for the stick blender to blend it and its next to impossible to blend such a small amount by hand. the stick blender just doesnt reach it due to the small size!!! advice please!
impij 1 year ago
@impij - Blend one Tbs of oil with 3 Tbs of cottage cheese, give the cat what he needs and eat the rest yourself as it is a preventative for various diseases and conditions. It's good for the whole family. It's better to make it fresh each time rather than storing it as storing will cause it to lose some benefits.

AllNaturElle1 1 year ago
@AllNaturElle1 - Research has shown that shark cartilege is not successful in fighting cancer. It's better not to add man-made supplements of any kind to the mix. Can you use something else besides cottage cheese?
LukeL007 1 year ago
@LukeL007 - Yogurt can be used if it's drained of it's whey for several hours and turned into cheese. The oil needs a certain amount of density of sulphurated proteins in the cheese in order to bond with them. That's very important. So, yogurt alone is not good to use - some websites erroneously say that it's OK but they're wrong. In fact, there's a lot of misinformation on the web about Budwig. Go to my website, address is above the video, to read the full Budwig plan.

@Budwigdiet Thanks for the reply. I have another question: is the flaxseed oil in gelcap supplements more concentrated than the standard flaxseed oil you describe? Can they be used in the same amounts, and if not, how much less should be used?
Dirtfire 1 year ago
@Dirtfire - Capsules of flax oil won't work in this program. Watch the video again. Notice that I stress the importance of blending and bonding the liquid oil with the cheese. The emulsion of the two is what allows the oil to be easily digested and metabolized so that it is carried to the cells that need it. See my website to read more about the Budwig plan. The address is above.

@Budwigdiet. Thanks for response. Bit of a misunderstanding, I think. I AM using flax oil + cottage cheese (3:6 tbs). My question was about if I could add soya milk AFTER fully blending the FOCC simply to make it thinner (instead of using milk).

Thank you.
Maia9051 2 years ago
The Budwig Clinic in Spain seems to add costly extras to the Budwig plan that are not necessary. Dr. Budwig healed cancer patients for 50 years with only the foods in her plan, sun therapy & stress reduction. Thousands of other people have healed without seeing Dr. B. but following her program. None of them used Formula FC, which I've never heard of before & I've worked with cancer patients for 5 yrs. See my website for testimonials of patients in my forum who got well without this product.

I was wondering,if cottage cheese, without seeds or seeds oil will be helpful for cancer diet?Even I know, that seeds are cancer fighters
artsiv80 2 years ago
Cottage cheese alone, without flax seeds or flax seed oil, is not a cancer fighter. It is added only to bond with the oil so that the oil becomes more easily digested and metabolized, allowing it to reach the cells and help to heal them.

Where I live there is no cottage cheese, let alone low-fat cottage cheese. What they offer as a substitute is "requeson", which is a fresh smooth cheese. Will it be acceptable? Please let me know as I am eager to start taking this combination. Thank you.
Maia9051 2 years ago
You want a high protein, low fat cheese. For example, the cottage cheese that I use in the video has 1 gram of fat & 14 grams of protein. Can you find out how much fat & protein requeson has? If the protein is too low & the fat too high, you could you make cottage cheese from skim milk. You can learn to make it by Googling the info. It's easy. But, this recipe alone will not stop cancer. See my site for the full Budwig plan. The address is above the video.

Blend the oil well with the cottage cheese and give your dog a small amount. See if he likes it. Ask your vet how much oil is safe. It could be that only half a teaspoon of the oil & cheese blend is enough to help a small dog.

Let me know.
tubeonthemind 2 years ago

Could someone please tell me how much to give to a cat and what the ratio would be too?
Also has anyone had succes with feline cancer?
Thanks
IplayforGodinHeaven 2 years ago
The ratio is always one part oil to two parts cheese. Start with just 1 teaspoon of
oil blended with 2 tsp of cottage cheese one time a day and see how your cat tolerates it. Add it to some tuna or sardines. If that amount is digested well, try giving a second serving per day. That may be enough for a cat. Be sure also that the rest of your cat's diet is good quality food.

where i live there is no access to cottage cheese, what can i use instead, that would achieve the same result?
juwaad 2 years ago

Thank you for this!
What if one is casein-intolerant? Isthere a dairy substitute that binds the flaxseed oil and make it water-soluble? Soy is not an option either.
Thank you.
peacelovechocolate 2 years ago
Dr. Budwig never used or recommended a substitute and said people tolerated the cheese when it was blended with the oil. Also, most people can easily digest one or two Tbs of oil by itself. If you don't have cancer, taking even that amount each day can stop various conditions and give the body a good dose of essential fatty acids.

i have a tumor in my head which is benign, and i am going to try this because i don't want to go back to surgery! i mixed in a pinch of turmeric and black pepper and it turned out to be really delicious. how important is the refrigerated vs. non refrigerated oil?
themissedconnections 2 years ago
If the oil container hasn't been opened, the oil can stay fresh for a long time, but once opened, it must be refrigerated.

This video is a ray of hope!
I'm removing a lung tumor but we don't have the low-fat 1%
organic cottage cheese in our area.
The only options are: 4% rennet-free cottage
cheese with smaller curds (7days shelf life), and 5% with larger curds and rennet
(15days sh.l.), cream added to both.
The only 1% option (21days sh.l.) is what is probably called curd cheese - crumbly,
almost dry and cannot be blended with oil properly without milk.
Which one is the best option for this recipe?

And chemo?
dearbornbarby 2 years ago
You have a good vet. Dogs need real meat and vegetables, not commericial dog foods that are made from grains or fatty meats. Because the cancer is in the liver, which helps to digest fats, begin by adding only one teaspoon of flax oil mixed with one Tbs of cottage cheese to your dog's food. Stay at that amount for a few days. If he digests it without a problem, increase it a little, working up to one Tbs oil blended with 2 Tbs. cottage cheese one or 2 times a day. Even with Chemo, it can help

This diet has helped my 2 cancer dogs wonderfully and they have only been on it for about three weeks now!

My husband has intermediate dementia. Will this budwig diet help him?
ellyrusk 2 years ago
It might help because he will be getting essential fatty acids in the flax oil. Everyone needs those EFA's in order for the body and brain to function normally. Avoiding saturated animal fats could also help.

Is this a good preventitive if you don't have cancer yet?
bixa525 2 years ago
I read that it is a preventative. Apparently, the ratio in that case is one spoon of oil per 100lb (45Kg) of bodyweight approx.

we are doing budwig at home using quark it's non organic. my mother is worried about it being non organic and detrimental to the process. she's worried about cow hormones and steroids. what can you tell us? she doesn't want to o something that is bad for her. obviously when dr. budwig formulated this, cows weren't on steroids...
loknloll 2 years ago
You can use goat yogurt instead, or you can make your own yogurt out of goat milk, using organic probiotics.
danatras 2 years ago
@loknloll - It's best to use organic as I suggest in the video, however, people have overcome cancer with nonorgaic cottage cheese in the recipe.
