  • I can't believe at 3:05 in the vid, this guy put his hands in the dirt near the tip of the bar. Not for me boss, I still have all ten. Should put a disclaimer, "don't try this at your house"

  • Wow, you really know how to use a chainsaw hey!!

Pulling it up and down like that while its horizontal, genius!!

  • Okay Thelma, I trimmed the stump. Now gonna go clean the cracks in the garage floor.

  • I have done this and dulled but not ruined several chains. (okay, probably ruined a couple.) Thanks for the video, reminded me of why I am buying a stump grinder.

  • Even if the saw was sharp it doesn't have the power needed to cut stumps off. I use a husky 288 to get the job done.........

  • Rename: How to fuck up a perfectly good chainsaw (because I know zip about using one)

  • How is called in english that thing left in ground?

  • Yay, now you have a dull chain and a stump that grass still won't grow on top of.

  • " The way He's working it it's going to CUM any minute" HAHAHAHAHA

  • Dulled the chain. Throw away the chain and buy a new one.Don't sharpen the Chain that you used on the stump it is trashed.

  • Dulled the chain

  • The stump isn't removed, it's just shorter. I can't believe you were sitting there digging around in the grass with your hands, inches from a running chain saw.

  • Removed?

  • Tree stump removal night for me, can tell I'm bored, my weed wacker would have taken the stump down quicker then that........ "chain saw". now you just have a short stump, a blue saw bar and a junk chain, good work if that was your intentions, must go, more stumps to see, so far, stumps 4, people 0

  • Chainsaw ruined and you wasted all that time. Now you can get busy takin that stump out!!

  • Wow that chainsaw Is dangerously dull

  • I agree the stump is not removed.. But I am sure it is low enough to cover dirt and grow grass over it. i pulled a stump last fall, I used an axe and shovel though. Which brings me to my 2 suggestions, take them or leave them. Dig around the stump with a shovel removing at least 12'' of the soil, it will be easier, I assure you. 2, cut the stump vertically with an X, once you have your first quarter out, you can use the tip, to go straight in. And who cares about a chain, it can be sharpened.

  • For your own sake and the saw's, please never touch a chainsaw ever again.

  • Sad you did not remove the stump just made is 7" shorter. WOW 3 minutes of my life in a useless video!

  • 'How to keep your local chain saw sharpener in business'

  • lol this video is exactly how NOT to remove a stump!!! lol poor chain

  • How not to do it

  • u do know that by cutting to the ground you are blunting ur chain

  • Glad you saved stump for last. Chain was toast by the time you were half thru. I've found cutting with top of the bar gives better control: Since you are almost cutting blind on the far side of the stump if you are near ground level, & dragging even a LITTLE dirt into the cut, by accident, from far side dulls your chain, if you cut w/ top of bar & keep watching your side of stump to stay above dirt level, even if tip of bar enters dirt on FAR side, dirt's blown FROM cut, & not dragged into cut.

  • you should have just got a bomb and BLEW IT TO THE FUCKING SKY

  • you didnt remove the tree stump.. you just cut abit off.. the tree can still grow so whats the point..

  • a chainsaw is not for dirt...a rotor tiller is! and if u want to use a hand saw use a hand saw! dont use a chainsaw like one !!! wtf

  • epais dirt and a chainsaw

  • K-mart he got that chain at dollar tree

  • Hahahahahaha!I want my 4 minutes back!!!

  • damn, glad that's over with!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I didn't know K-mart made chainsaws

  • This is like buying a whore dinner"pointless"!

  • I think I could have chewed it faster

  • ruined the chain YA IDJIUT!

  • Yea... Just rent a stump grinder for 80 bucks and get it done the right way. You do a job you do it right but, that's just me.

  • this should be called, " how to make a tree stump shorter".

  • you understand how a chainsaw works right? no need to make sawing motions with it, the engine does that for you believe it or not. Hold that baby still let the engine do the work for you and for the love of god sharpen your chain!

  • why were you hacking away at a municipal tree? were you contracted by the municipality to cut down and "remove" the stump?

  • i think im going to stick with explosives its fun and effictive

  • Never let your chain touch the dirt.

  • For anyone watching, please don't do this. When you get the saw that close to the ground, it does not pull proper cooling air across the engine and overheats the motor. In addition, close proximity to the dirt dulls the chain in a heartbeat, making the saw work even harder and run even hotter (which was plainly obvious here). This is good way to ruin a saw motor. You can always resharpen a chain, but it's a bigger deal to ruin the whole saw.

  • idiot

  • The question is...Will it blend?

  • What a fuckin amateur.

  • Do you have a video of you ... say... taking out the trash?

  • Lose that dam Echo junk.

  • NOT!

  • saw blade in the dirt? saw is fkd

  • For $35 you could keep your stump. Do you enjoy standing around with a video camera watching others work? Typical dumbass...

  • Kinda hard on the chain?

  • Is this a joke.?...I just spent all this time watching what my A H husband did this a.m. THIS IS NOT A STUMP REMOVAL IDIOTS!!!!!! it's cutting a tree down. Where was this taken?????? Morons

  • waste of alot of peoples time to watch this vid, thank dummy

  • @fishad09 Glad you liked the video boy!

  • @fishad09 if its a waste of time then why watch ........ oh yes TROLL

  • @fishad09 Dude, chill your tits, he is just trying to make a honest living

  • You aint removed the stump, you just shortened it, along with the life of your chainsaw, get a spade, dig round it and cut the roots with a bowsaw or axe.

  • some people shouldn't use power tools

  • if you were abe to get the stump that low would the ground eventually wash away and the stump stick up???

  • That stump is a $35 job in the midwest.

  • Al-Quaeeda would formally like to offer you a job.

  • Should have dug out the area around the stump so you could cut below ground level. Like someone else said, do a little at a time instead of all in one shot. I have 6 Oak stumps in my yard. Not one of them under 15" in diameter. I'm going with a grinder.

  • if that chain was sharp before it wont be now

  • by the time he ruined the chain in the dirt he prob could have done it faster with a butter knife :) anddddd extremely dumb risking pinching the bar with the weight of the stump anddddd why didn't he cut down the middle and remove one half at a time???? ok i'm done lol

  • I think it will be a little easier if he slice the stump from the top down then cut the rest of the stump. It probably will be a less strain to the chain IMO.

  • Without all the obscene words, really should have chaps on while sawing. That bar can catch and the saw come back over the knee cap very fast. That takes some considerable surgery to patch the ligaments that get cut (good friend had just that happen while sawing a stump low). And as said, not a great way to treat a chain.

  • Um, I was looking for "how to REMOVE a stump," not "how to ruin a chainsaw blade and make a stump nearly impossible to remove." Thanks.

  • what a tard

  • i use an old large wire spool (about 4' diameter) hook a chain to it. And to my truck and roll the stump out of the ground.

  • TIMBER!

  • Well whoop di damn doo, he ruined the chain, who cares. I can buy a new chain for my chainsaw for $50 and it costs me $100 to have someone grind a stump.

  • @thebigdawg61 Glad you liked the video boy!!!

  • @thebigdawg61 What kind of chainsaw are you using that has a $50 chain? Is it one of those lumberjack 3 footers?

  • @thebigdawg61 Cutting it at an inch, drilling holes and filling it full of jam (jelly) and letting ants eat it would have cost $2 for the jelly and $3 for the ant killer when they'd eaten it down. Even cheaper.

  • im just throwing this out there but ok you made the stump shorter, harder to wrap a chain on to actually get it out. cuz when they want a tree planted there next year i feel sorry for the landscaper cuz i am one and how peoples stupidity makes life so hard.....

  • Everyone else has already said it.... Why do you think it took so long to cut.. Dull chain as a result of cutting dirt.

  • Thx for posting this vid, I will put in the 'how not to fucking use chainaws' folder to let others learn from this.

  • If you were working for me and that was my saw you would have been fired before you buried the bar. Not Kool !

  • Chain saw is dead....

  • Oh for the love of..quit whining people. Did you think he was going to wingardium leviosa that fucking tree stump out of the ground?

  • is this how to remove a tree stump or how to fuck up a chainsaw while trying to cut down a stump

  • You ruined your saw.

  • uhhh tree stump is still there, best way is to dig it out

  • funny im speechless lol if want to see another funny way to remove a tree stump my way truck style

  • stump removal, your doing it wrong!

  • This video should have been called "How to destroy your chain saw"

  • STOP SAYING PRETTY GOOD IN 3:19 !!!!!!!!!!

  • my god dick head

  • How to actually remove a stump:

    howcast.com/videos/316248-How-To-Remove-a-Tree-Stump

  • This is *not* a video of removing a stump. This is a video of a guy cutting a trunk at the dirt surface. This is also a good way to dull your chain.

  • @bone2thebone C'mon now, he's obviously a pro. LOL Gotta love all the dummies watching and chiming in that its coming, its coming. What a gong show.

  • @bone2thebone Glad you liked the video boy!

  • @bone2thebone HA, that's not me, you stupid fucking hilljack, that is a neighbor of mine. Go back yoour shanty in the woods and go get your already inbread sister and your filthy whore mother pregnant

  • @bone2thebone Glad you liked the video boy!

  • Spellbinding!

  • Wow, what a dumb ass. He must hate his saw.

  • @lojopgh Glad you liked the video boy!

  • Stump removal for the mentally challenged.

  • @f89276704 Glad you liked the video boy!

  • First step: cut tree , second step : let the stump dry, step 3: drill a hole ( 1'' to 2 '') as deep as you can, step 4: gather some friends and finally step 5: fill the hole with gas and you have a nice fire pit ( one time use only ) ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • @CBR1100xx31 Glad you liked the video boy!

  • Im glad thats not my chainsaw!

  • @feakyt Glad you liked the video boy!

  • I could have done this faster with less abuse on tue saw too

  • @joeyakabert : well...wheres the video boy?

  • @z4rt4n i said i can if i take down a tree i will

  • @joeyakabert Glad you liked the video boy!

  • This guys dangerous. This is not proper tool technique

  • @deluxe77777 Glad you liked the video boy!

  • @z4rt4n hey bud no offense -I just then a chain thrown doing that

  • @z4rt4n hey bud no offense -I just seen a chain thrown doing that

  • @z4rt4n well it is saw sacrilage, but hey its not my saw!

  • @z4rt4n Glad you continue the dumass american stereotype

  • @z4rt4n~ ye bud.... take these peoples advice. This is how u wreck your chainsaw. Like that guy said.... u might aswell throw that chain in the bin after doing something like this.

  • @deluxe77777 thats cause its not a proper tool

  • I thumbed this video up. I am the last person in the world to do any physical outdoor work, but I finally forced myself to start clearing the small (about 200 square feet) of dirt around my house left to me by my deceased parents. 3 days ago I started digging up the small trees, bushes, and roots to make room for growing my own food in a post-fossil-fuel self-sufficient world.

My body is aching. There is simply no clever "elegant" way to do this hard work.

    It's just brute force.

  • @mphello "Mistakes" will ALWAYS be made. So, ignore the assholes who disparage your video.

Great job, and thank you for posting! I have no power tools. I'm just hacking away with an axe, saw, and shovel.

One thing that is always, always, ALWAYS true - whenever people get together to do some labor-intensive physical work, everybody is suddenly instantly an "expert" on how "best" to move said piece of furniture or uproot a stump. I have experienced this EVERY time I have been involved...

  • @mphello ... in helping move some big piece of furniture, whether I'm helping a friend or within our family or where-ever. And EVERY single time, at least one person (in my family's case, that would be my brother) becomes an absolute asshole-jerk about it, suddenly designating themselves "the expert" on said hard manual labor.

You're quite smooth with that chainsaw. I'm sure I'd lose control of it and it would end up in the neighbor's swimming pool.

  • I have never seen such abuse of a chainsaw in my life.

  • lol...rake some grass and stuff over it at the end of the video, and presto! the stump magically disappears

  • I sure hope that you're not a tree service? Because what the hell kind of service is this?

    A total waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could have done it faster with a hacksaw!

  • I have to agree it is out and in a total emergency [ not sure that can be applied to stump removal] - the idea works. However - I notice you STILL have to remove the stump to use a rider on it cause it would kill your blades if you ever even touched it.

HOWEVER -- the dang thing worked - hahahaa. the price of a new chain is way cheaper than stump removal. I give you a 7 out of 10.

  • Wie blöd seid ihr amis eig.? dümmer gehts au ned

    ihr hirnlosen spasties

  • just dig out the stump u lazy prick

  • there is so so so many things wrong with this video but i will just say a few,

    1. what the fuck are you doing put your saw so close to the ground?

    2. that bar and chain might aswell just be thrown right into the bin now as you have well and truely fucked it!

    3. at 1:14 you were so close to hitting your camera man in the leg with the saw

    4. go get some qualifications you useless idiot!

  • @HGBMX ..and you have to love how he keeps poking his fingers in around the chain with the saw running to remove debris and grass.

  • dump that saw and get ANFO.

  • will they sell a chainsaw to anybody?

  • Re-title this video " How to wreck a chain saw"

  • it would broke anyway its piece of shit....STIHL or HUSQVARNA !!!!

  • I use a carbide tipped chain and the dirt will not dull it one bit.

  • It takes seconds, literally, to ruin a chain by running it in the dirt. Seconds. This chain probably could not even be sharpened after this abuse. Sidenote: what exactly is the purpose of shaking the saw?

  • Dig a hole to put your engine in below ground level. Dont let chain bar extend past the stump to the other side where it gets into dirt so it doesnt dull. Then fill in hole with shovel.

  • OMG is all I have to say

  • it wouldt be more effective to remove the stump with magic then what the hell your doing here

  • if this is how you remove a stump, please don't vote. great way to ruin a saw. i can't imagine treating my $800 STIHL like that.

  • more like "how to fuck up your saw"

  • why so much rage people? Its not your chainsaw or stump. Never seen so much hate over such a stupid thing. The chain is probably dull because he's working and the rest of you are sitting at home eating shit

  • chains are $20 new and $3 to sharpen. Cut the ground all you want dummy.

  • One dead chain! This can be done but you need to dig further down around the stump and hose away any dirt and crap first. It's much easier hiring a stump grinder.

  • you cut it flush but its not removed! Good effort though! You can rent a smaller stump grinder for fairly cheap if you ever want to plant grass there!

  • Wow what a total fucking retard.

  • @TheJimineycricket that is what i was thinking

  • when that blade gets dull enough the whole thing will overheat and eventually melt the plastic casing on the saw into the gears

  • a "friend" once borrowed my chainsaw and ruined it doing this exact same thing. He had to buy me a new one.

  • Hell a rubber spoon would have taken less time... I was wanting to know what a JTN is but I figured it out.. It is his name Justin Turd Nocker Smart as a Fart

  • Hellfire! Its HIS saw, time, and video. Let him take it out any way he pleases!!!

He could remove it with a rubber spoon for all WE should care.

Gee Whiz...most of the time "no comment" is the best comment.

  • Hellfire! Its HIS saw, time, and video. Let him take it out any way he pleases!!!

He could remove it with a rubber spoon for all WE should care.

Gee Whiz...most of the time "no comment" is the best comment.

  • I did not read all the comments but when you cut a stump or tree you have to keep the chainsaw blade out of the grass and dirt. Dirt will dull a new saw blade in seconds.

Good luck with the next one.

    Later Z71Ranger

  • what a retard

  • Well! That's two minutes of my life I'll never get back...

  • that's not removing it though, you just make it flush with the grass, it's still there.

  • Oh well, it was just an Echo..................yikes.....I just watched it again and it scared me worse. Next time try moving the saw back and forth a little faster like a hand saw only this time put the chain brake on while doing it.

  • why not dig around it?

  • this video is funny as hell, I love it

  • its his chainsaw and his stump let the guy do what the hell he wants lol

  • Not to tweak a man choice how to remove a stump. When you start pulling dirt into the sprocket housing it dulls the chain but it also clogs up the bar oil drip holes. This will cause the chain to heat up, then the normal stress will cause the chain to warp and become very dull. If the chain were to kick off just right it can make for a godly nasty wound. Try doing plunge cuts (like a waffle shape) then hit with a sledge hammer. Much easier and safer

  • "what a life.. wow" classic

  • penis.

  • cut the grass first

  • why did he post this, he just proved he was an idiot

  • That was hilarious. Should be how to fuck up a saw, dull a chain, look like a retard, jerk off a powertool and not remove a stump. Love the guy filming it making the enthusiastic comments as if he were shooting a porn. "This is great footage..right?" "She's gonna cum now..."

  • This is a horrible way to do this. This does not help anyone!

  • Mate it hurts to watch you do that.

When I cut that low I use a worn chainsaw and chain.

And I dig the surrounding soil away first, clean the trunk up and cut slightly below the ground,so the grass can grow over.

Are you willing to swap that saw for mine because I feel sorry for it(like rallying a new car throught the scrub)

Nice effort though, to show us all the mistakes.

Are your arms tired from the sawing action lol

  • the problem is, you should never cut with the chainsaw under the ground lvl :( if it's found some stones one time it will gone wrong:( trust me dude its better way to dig out ;) yes slower a bit, but more trusty

  • STOP MESSING AROUND AND JUST BLOW THE FUCKER OUT OF THE GROUND!

  • I dont know how to break this to you, but you didn't remove any stump. At least your technique made me laugh.

  • bad for the blade but it is the fastes way 2 do it. and you don't need 2 digg a 2 meter hole

  • @Sevenoneight7 Blow it up with 20kg ANFO

  • It's not a hand saw. You sure have that motion down wackoff boy.

    xD

    Cumps.
