why do people replace their steering wheel with a racing one? i mean the oem one has an airbag and does exactly the same thing as the racing one.....Does the racing one have a different feel/size to it or something?

@chillincruisin racing wheels usually are a lot lighter because the airbags weight a ton and are made of different fabrics that absorb sweat so your hands dont slip off the wheel, they also provide better grip when using racing gloves!

I drive a 96 Subaru Impreza thank you very much. Also what he's doing isn't impressive at all. There's not enough track to show any real drifting skill. I was doing the same crap with only a couple days of practice. I of course couldn't do the same on a small track, as my car doesn't have the necessary power to chain them.

Also, you can suck and enter competitions. Hell, plenty of drift competitions out there where all you need to enter is a car and money.

mj321go321... It might be possible that he has the DCCD (Driver Control Center Differential) on his car. This allows the driver to choose how much power he wants to split to all 4 wheels i.e. - 50/50 normal setting, 60/40, 65/35.

how is this done in a AWD without the F**K up's of the dif's (at least one of them)? converted to RWD (dont look like it but)? or is this something to do with the 04+ STi models i red somewhere (some special thing, so you can drift without fucking up the driveline/dogbox)? or what...
