Dr Jekyll, Wesker, Dr Steel, and the mad doctor from that disney short that wanted to replace a chickens head with plutos to see if the eggs would hatch a chicken/dog hybrid! Oh, and the scientist from Metropolis!
"Unlike others on this list, Insano kept his sense of humor". That would've been interesting if you bothered to show any footage of him saying any dialogue whatsoever to confirm back up your claim. Yes, Insano is awesome, but that's only because I know who he is. The non-fan is totally lost in this.
how about a real mad scientist like nikola tesla he was so smart the government was scared of him on the other hand he was crazy so crazy in fact he called a pigion his wife
I'd like to refer to the far side cartoon with the mad scientists convention, wherein the speaker welcomes somebody with the introduction "The man who first coined the phrase 'Fools! I'll destroy them all!'"
A couple of suggestions I could have made to the list (both classics):
1. Captain Nemo. Yes, apparently he's regarded as a mad scientist but is often seen more as a super engineer.
I like him because he adds a new angle to the concept of mad scientists, with having no real aspirations to take over the world and with no experiments involving living creatures.
At the same time though, he still is rejected by normal society and apparently scorns the large majority of humanity while still (technically) playing god amongst his crew.
What did I learn from him? its still possible to run away from all your problems when you have an aquatic behemoth.
2. Doctor Moreau
I can't even begin to state my reasons for why this is the ultimate mad scientist example. But read the wiki page on Island of Doctor Moreau for an idea as to why.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi of Bleach. Is my fav. mad scientist. he wears make-up all over his body & he looks like a skeliton, &he's 1 of the captian's of the 13 court guards. he roll's around with Nemu his daughter. he created her from his reseach on doll bodys. Although he doesn't treat her like his daughter but more like a slave. Mayuri also deals with poisons, drugs & likes 2 modify whatever catches his intrest. So much that he modified his own body. underneath all that makeup is 1 smexy guy though.
the're many reasons Y I like Mayuri. He's perverted has no care 4 his comrades what-so-ever & once he's interested in sumthinhe wo'nt stop until he bored. But the #1 reason why I like Mayuri is becuase he made sum1 who thought they were a perfect being beg 4 deth. by giving him a super-human formula that highten his sences so that every second felt like a century. & slowly stab him through his hand precing his heart & breaking the sword. only 2 the guy it took a 100000000 years just 2 die.
What Mayuri taught me" There is no such thing as perfect in this world. That may sound cliché, but its the truth. The average person admires perfection and seeks to obtain it. But whats the point of achieving perfection? There is none. Nothing. Not a single thing. I loathe perfection! If something is perfect, then there is nothing left. There is no room for imagination. No place left for that person to gain additional knowledge or abilities. Do you know what that means?
For scientists such as us, perfection only brings despair. It is our job to create things more wonderful than anything before them, but never to obtain perfection. A scientist must be a person who finds ecstasy while suffering from that antinomy. In short, the moment that foolishness left your mouth and reached my ears, you had already lost. Of course, that's assuming you are a scientist."
