i'm graduating in june, then going to college two hours away from home for five years...as much as i hate to say this, i'm gonna miss this town that i've claimed to hate all these years...
I dont ever want to grow up,i only have 3 more years until i graduate and everyone is telling me these times are going to go by fast and i dont want them to...i just want to cry:'(
I don't even like country.....but I love this song. I'm not even grown....but I'm already missing....everything. The innocence. The ignorance. The fact that when I was little there were no questions, no big worries. Life seemed to have no boundaries. I guess though, everything seems easier, those "big" problems you had then are now insignificant when looking back at everything. I don't want to grow up. I don't want to miss any opportunity.
This is so true! I never thought I would ever say this but I would do my high school years all over again, all of the good and bad times were all worth it because of all the good memories and because all the bad taught me things about life. It's been over ten years since I graduated and I am still learning and there are days when I escape reality to remember those days! it's magical the way our memories seem so real! Cherish the days that you are here and when you miss those days, REMEMBER!!!!!
@AnAngelSmiley01 I'm in the same boat as you pretty much, graduated almost a decade ago and sometimes miss being a teenager but another way to look at this is enjoy what you have now because in a blink of an eye you'll be in your late 40s and possibly heading into a midlife crisis and wishing to be back to where you were in the early 2010s. Ahhh. This song makes me cry. Because i already miss the old days. And i am only 14 years old. I am going into 9th grade. I miss school so much. Yeahh, a ton of Hughes Middle School SUCKED. Im going into High School. When i was in 8th grade they had a 8th grade graduation we got to dress up and stuff and They Played The song Named Friends Forever.Alot Of People cried when it played at the dance and when it was showing pictures too!

@shibnibs I know how it can be to miss the great memories of the past, there are lots of things from my childhood in the 80s and 90s that I miss, but look at it this way, you're still a kid, and you've got your whole life ahead of you. You're not 17 fretting graduation and your future, nor 26 and trying to start your career, nor 45 with money troubles and a midlife crisis, nor 65 worrying about retirement, nor 100 and wondering how many years you've got left. Enjoy being a kid while you can. :)

The most realist song ever, I lost my brother (17) and sister (14) in a car accident in 2007, i wish life had slowed down. My sisters year will be graduating this year and they are using this in her memory. I wish like mad I could go back to my high school years. I used to say to my dad "I cant wait to get out of school move out get a job have kids travel" and he always laughed and said "youl regret saying that one day" and I do so much!

Sometimes things in the past mean a lot to you and you want them back so you don't have to have the lonely feelings from remembering it...
