Polls show that 60% of the country likes the president, but, generally (67%) don't like his policies (global warming, over spending, healthcare...). The economy has "gone to sh*t" (classy language, BTW *rolls eyes again*) for two primary reasons: the housing & banking crises of 2007/2008. By every measure (GDP, inflation, unemployment, etc.) the economy was phenomenal for the first 6 years of Bush's presidency. In each of those categories, the numbers were better than they were under the Clinton administration. And you don't wanna know how they compare to the way they were under the previous liberal Democrat, Jimmy Carter. *wink*
And what caused the banking & housing crises? Well, we can thank liberals like Barney Frank, Herb Moses (Frank's gay lover), Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters, Bill Clinton, Franklin Raines and their ilk for that. They were in charge of the Congressional committees, regulatory bodies and policies that exploited deregulation and pressured banks to give mortgages to low-income people who couldn't pay them back. Those mortgages then failed, and now lying liberals blame Bush. Amazing.

Polls show that 60% of the country likes the president, but, generally (67%) don't like his policies (global warming, over spending, healthcare...). So, instead of ramming the big stuff through 'because it is a crisis', I suggest the administration presents BOTH sides of the argument (not a dem & rep position, but pros & cons), then put important (country changing) policies to a vote.

The economy has "gone to sh*t" (classy language, BTW *rolls eyes again*) for two primary reasons: the housing & banking crises of 2007/2008. By every measure (GDP, inflation, unemployment, etc.) the economy was phenomenal for the first 6 years of Bush's presidency. In each of those categories, the numbers were better than they were under the Clinton administration. And you don't wanna know how they compare to the way they were under the previous liberal Democrat, Jimmy Carter. *wink*

And what caused the banking & housing crises? Well, we can thank liberals like Barney Frank, Herb Moses (Frank's gay lover), Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters, Bill Clinton, Franklin Raines and their ilk for that. They were in charge of the Congressional committees, regulatory bodies and policies that exploited deregulation and pressured banks to give mortgages to low-income people who couldn't pay them back. Those mortgages then failed, and now lying liberals blame Bush. Amazing.

When has Sean Hannity ever said the economy failed because of Bush? He's never said any such thing. I watch & listen to him all time, and I would know. In fact, he has been one of the ones screaming the loudest about how the Dems in Congress and those running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are responsible for the financial meltdown. You are a liar.
Even outspoken liberal actor Alec Baldwin had the courage to say on national TV that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd deserved blame for the meltdown.

No, you didn't "try to help." You started this by making a false, inflammatory accusation about Bush and the GOP supposedly ruining the economy, and when I ask you to 'enlighten' me with evidence -- which, hey, might change my mind -- you can't. All you do is evade.
And who said the GOP is my party? Who said I'm a Republican? I'm an independent conservative who's disgusted with both parties. The GOP has its share of nimrods, but it's nowhere near as corrupt as the Democratic party.

This was such a bizarre day. First his swearing in was botched. Then nothing Obama said was memorable. Then that weird gobble-dee-gook poem that made me laugh, and then the racist benediction by that pastor. I remembered more from the pastor than from Obama.
People even started leaving after he was done. Considering the hype raised about this guy, the applause should have lasted longer than a minute. People were so confused that day.

The equal pay is legislation extending the deadlines allowing lawsuits for unequal pay to women. 2nd I haven't bought up race or name calling once honestly that's like the 5th thing wrong with Limbaugh. The world looks on with hope as President Obama begins to return America to a more moral high ground. He reminds people that with the privileges of citizenship there also comes responsibilities - a concept we haven't heard much of since JFK and the 1960's! Every so often there comes a leader who has the ability to not only lead his own citizens, but to have a profound impact on the nations of the world as well.
