@Heem24100 Depends on Mileage. Consider that they were about 30,000 brand new and lost value to about 25,000 the day it was delivered. One with about 30,000 miles now could be around 15-16 thousand. figure about every 10 thousand miles is about a thousand dollars off the car. until you hit 100,000 miles then it's worth about as much as a pot to piss in.

you need at least a heavy calibre v8 I would suggest the 5.0 mustang or higher although you can get a good sound out of the 4.6 v8 off ford / lincoln / mercury as well

@dolphinfanatic3939 I don't remember exactly how much this was. I think including the 2 mufflers, high flow cat, and 3" downpipe was about 900 installed, maybe a little less.

I never had the car dyno'd (and I don't own it anymore) so I really don't know how much power it added.. the mufflers themselves probably really didnt add any, the downpipe and cat should have been worth a few HP though.

sounds sick. i just got on 07 ss last April and i love it. i smoked many a 4.6 liter Mustang on the highway in it. i was going to do headers and exhaust but i was told that ide lose all the back pressure that gets ya out of the hole. is that true?

I'm getting an 06 SS this summer, been looking forward to it for ever. So what if it has a bit of torque steer, turn off the traction control and light 'er up. WAY better in the winter too, than the RWD Mustang.

I'll be the first to say. I am a ford man for sure..I have an 08 F150 and absolutely love the sound of flowmasters on them. But i do own a Lumina SS. (Appearance Pack) love the car to death. I love Mustangs too..but...unfortunately every 16yr old girl drives one..nothing like kicking someones ass in a 4 door sedan. I love it. I'm trying to decide between a 4.6Northstar or one of these 5.3L engines to drop into the lumina. Sleeper the hell out of it.

i'm ford guy myself too, besides my 88 tbird i've also got a 96 buick regal 3.8L series II and i love that car to death as well, hmmm id go with the 5.3, its a smaller engine as far as physical size, the DOHC Nothstar would prolly take a lot more modding to change it over into a Lumina

@786myfist actually, the mustang has about the same power and weighs more than the impala does. The SS has 303hp 320ft'lbs torque and weights 3600-3700lbs. The mustang weights 3800-3900lbs

The new impalas would be a lot nicer if they were rwd, or awd. For me, a fwd V8 impala just doesn't fit. It works well I know, with handling and all, but you have to understand that I'm a product of the 62-74 impala production years, when putting power to the ground with a V8 was done very well by transferring it through an actual transmission, down a drivshaft, and to the rear wheels.

umm yeah too bad i do know stuff about flowmaster. i have the same muffler on my 04 hemi, it sounds 1000X better than this i dont know why maybe cause its a hemi i dont know it sounds way better thatn that malibu does it could be a shitty recording but i like the sound on my truck rather than on that car

its b/c of its setup...his pipes are too big for one, and there is probably something he did wrong, but it should sound way louder, deeper, and better than this....Hemi's are great, but Flowmasters sound the best on LSX series engines in my opinion.

Maybe it's just the way the video was shot, but I don't think the Flowmasters sound that great on the newer Impalas. Check out the cat-back system for the Impala SS on Magnaflow's website in the "hear it" section. Now THAT'S a nice sound!

Man, I hate to say it but it seems every LS4 i hear sound the same. They sound like v6s with flows. They are just way to raspy. Sounds good at idle but once you rev it man do they sound terriable.

Where did you get the down pipe? Custom fab? Does it go to the converter?

I got the downpipe from wbodystore. It comes with a hi-flow cat (what I have), or catless - but it won't hook up to the stock cat.

It may throw an engine code when you install it - I shut the code off with HPTuners.
