I have experience fear and agony and the death of dear friends and family. Memories from my life comes back, so, I think John Williams' composition and Itzak Perlman's performance have managed to capture the feeling. Very good music and very good movie.

Such a mournful and dark, yet beautiful piece of music...emotions are all over the place in this, with a sense of dread and impending doom, coupled with fear, hearts racing....

Such an emotional piece, it really puts you on end and makes you feel the same fear the Jewish people felt. Beautiful, an absolutely beautiful piece for this movie as well as the rest of the soundtrack.

When one possess a 'way with music' they tend to feel the pulsing and vibrations of the instruments as if it were their own heartbeat.

When this particular person said "makes you feel the same fear the Jewish people felt.", he/she is saying that this master piece is able to create such a dramatic sense of fear and sorrow, that, for a brief moment, you feel much of their fear. It is in no way to say that their suffering, anguish and horror can be summarized in a single sound track.

@Ethireall I'm well aware that music possesses a certain quality that can completely change moods or create a desired atmosphere. However I still take issue with the original commenter that this paticular piece of birlliant music can "make you feel the same fear the Jewish people felt." As you said yourself that is impossible.

@whatageeza It can certainly produce emotions in you and make you feel some empathy to their situation. Of course it doesn't physically place you in a nazi concentration camp but it does make your soul reach out to the victims of the atrocity.
