Damn. I currently own two Gibson SGs and a Gibson Les Paul Custom, the white one.

They are awesome, and have a unique sound that only other people can st least copy. They sound great, they play great, the pick-ups scream, and they are fun to play. I noticed the quality is much higher. I'm just giving my opinion since I'm a proud owner of them. Gibson is my favorite guitar brand! :)
