I have to agree with you as far as being surprised they're opening for Wolfmother. I saw them in Austin last weekend and they didn't entirely fit in with the crowds tastes. Say what you will about Wolfmother though, they may be slightly cheesy around the edges but they put on a bad ass show. The energy just didn't let up for their entire set.

I saw wolfmother maybe 4 years ago in Chicago (@ the metro, before their first album was available in the states), and they really rocked. I was there with a friend, a drummer in metal bands, and he was jumping up and down with a huge smile the whole time.
