Love my Bel GX65, I originally bought it just for a cross country trip. Worked so well I kept it and I have even bought an extra set of suction cups for when I borrow people's cars or use a rental car. Who wants a vacation ruined by a speeding ticket?

I don't understand why there are Bel and Escort radar detectors, aren't they owned by the same company?

The fact of the matter is cops are trained to estimate speed (he said that during the video), and jamming a laser ain't going to stop them. They will just book you for their speed estimate, and the fact you've used a jammer won't help in court. Also, hypothetically they can get you for obstructing police.

@1111Davo1 Laser jamming is not "obstruction of justice" because speeding is not a "crime", it is a civil infraction. If it were a "crime" they would have to give you due process including trial by jury, and it would cease to be a money making proposition.

There are some states where having a laser jammer is a "crime" (misdemeanor), other states where it is just an infraction itself.

@radarroy ohio cops are allowed to write you a ticket for their guestimate of speed so I agree that laser jammers can be useless if the cops feels like taking you to court due to his estimate. Most likely though, that will be if you are recklessly driving. I could not see them doing that for minor speeding in light traffic, though who knows, this is how they make their living so im sure they would have no problem wasting your time and money in court.

@Noel127 you miss the first 2 court dates, on the third one officers don't even bother showing up because of people usually don't even show up to court for tickets. So when the officer is absent on the 3rd trial, you do what you can to persuade the Judge. Make up shit because that cop won't be there.

He frequently speeds in his 2002 Mustang GT. I have a 2011 Mustang V6 and I really need a radar detector that works. I'm willing to spend a lot of money too because I do NOT want my insurance to get rated any higher. The only solution I can think of is to not speed, which makes sense, but what's the fun in that? ;D
