  • Can anyone confirm if this is real or not?

    /watch?v=lLkZO88kuKI

The uploader claims its actual footage from the unreal engine 4. If it is, then good job Epic.

  • If he's so strong, why didn't he smash that door open at the beginning?

  • Soo the game with the realest graphice I played is Battlefield3 and Crysys2 and Sybdicate kindaa good , in my opinion no other game is close to those gameplay graphics...!

  • What happened to the hobo? Lol

  • @gleemanvox23 Well throwing cigarettes at random people is how I met my girlfriend.

  • Say when can I get this on my iPhone ;)

  • So if I understand correctly, this isn't even the "Unreal Engine 4", which Epic will privately show to a small group of people. I couldn't imagine them making an awesome Unreal Engine 3 demo (Like this) and then showing an uglier Unreal Engine 4 demo. The Unreal Engine 4 will be even better, according to that logic.

  • Anyone else wish this was a real game?

  • @Chippy242 This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards it is not a CGI or cut-scene learn how engines work fool.

  • @ballowers100 you completely missed what i was saying xD i know how the engine works BUT i think if this was developed into a full legit game rather than just a tech demo i think it could be good (depending on how it is executed. This is not a game all it is is a little scenario showing what he engine can do.

  • @ballowers100 oh, and it is a cut-scene. just cause it isn't cgi doesn't mean it isn't a cut scene. Its just an engine generated cut-scene no different than the cut scenes found in something like say mass effect. Know what cut scenes are fool!

  • @ballowers100 Saints Row 3,Saints Row 2, Saints Row, Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas, EA Sports MMA, NHL 2002-12, ETC. you've just been disproven

  • @KillaFlavour This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards it is not a cut-scene or CGI it has fixed camera effects and it is a game demo as it is not completed still a game though.

  • @ballowers100 It's not a game actually. It's a tech demo - a realtime render showing what engine is capable of.

  • @87fixxxer This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards it is a game demo as it is not completed still a game though.

  • @ballowers100 its not a game...its a render demo. 87 is right.

  • @Chippy242 Hard Reset might interest you. c:

  • @Chippy242 very soon we'll get it at a game

  • i want to see the second part :-)

  • how did such a big robot sneak up on him....

  • Does not look that good.Kids making games these days really are retarded fags. All they do is dd blur, bloom, headbob, screen hsakes, glare, lans flare and other retarded visual effects

  • @TheSUBGAMER

Can I see your engine? It must be amazing.

  • @Sormenkynsi That,s what your mother said -)

  • @TheSUBGAMER And the funny thing made made your logic idiotic is that all of them are real life camera effects.

  • @NukeMyHouse lol you really are retarded -)

kiddo,in games you are not a walking camera

    peace

  • I think he won

  • if thats what it looks like on here imagine ur tv

  • Look's stunning!

  • Looks like the creators of the engine

    *Puts on shades*

    Are pretty Epic

    YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

  • Looks like the engine

    *Puts on shades*

    Is pretty Unreal

    YYYYYEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!

  • Is in the trailer what is this game

  • My pc does this already. Ever heard of mods?

  • @strelok1988 Gné ? I know this is UE 3, did you at least read my comment ? I said "NEXT WEEK" there will be a presentation of UE 4.0 ( wich technically means that is has not been seen yet and since this video was uploaded a year ago... ) ! I never said that this was the UE 4, I mean unlike you I READ.

  • Now THAT is how you help a ol lady!

  • shit engine but so many developers uses

  • @strelok1988

This is rendered real time, aka gameplay.

  • @billybobjoeftw no there is lots of diference between cinematic and gamplay. If u don't believe me look on "cryengine 3 cinematic tool" and Crysis 2, all of them are real time but C2 looks much worst. Here is non cinematic Samaritan: /watch?v=UY_kTMFpQ4E. So, as you can see in gameplay it not look that cool like in "Official Demo". I know ...sad but thats how game pro works.

  • @strelok1988

That video was just to showcase the clothing physics.....

  • @billybobjoeftw yes but it use 3d Samaritan model, and u can see that is no nextgen like in this movie. If u add some DOF, lens flare efect ad set camera in specific angle u will get that super graphic ...but if u run this tchenology in-game it won't be looking so "epic". We need UE4 not UE3 to make games look like in this movie.

  • @strelok1988 This is not a movie it is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards it is a game demo as it is not completed learn how game engines work you fool.

  • @strelok1988 What about when Uncharted 2 was first shown and everyone that the 'cinematics' were just that. Cinematics. The awkward moment when it turns out to be gameplay

  • Kind of reminds me of arkham city.

  • MY EYES *0*

  • é_é

    =_=

    omg

  • cant wait for real time liquid :P

  • @MXOY99 We already have real time liquid.

  • @ballowers100 uhh i know... just not enough...and im meaning for blood... not water... Overgrowth is good for blood :)

  • @strelok1988 Stop being the stupid one this is a fucking game actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards you jealous console gaming ignorant fool.

  • @strelok1988 No? Why would they make a cinematic trailer for an engine? That's not very logical is it? This could be made by todays cinematic standards easily. Not that i think that games will actually look exactly like this but it sure is something to aim for.

  • @strelok1988 You're wrong, this isn't cinematic, its in-game graphics that work on TriSLI GTX 580. You should search before saying bullshit.

  • Some of us live in Canada where $600 cant buy you shit let alone parts to build a solid PC

  • @dashDmoney you're obviously dumb 600 you could build a decent machine that could run games on low-medium. unless you fucking live in nunavut don't be a twat

  • @dashDmoney price in terms of parts and technology do not differ substantially from the US and CA. I live in canada and can vouch for that

  • 2:29 - Sir you are under arrest

    2:30 - FUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

  • wtf, if this is UE3 (and by the looks of the demo it would only run on next gen consoles and PC) then why would EPIC announced UE4 at GDC next week?

  • @valmanzar16 Just to let you know the PC of today can run games with graphics like this even better and next gen consoles will not be able to run these graphics or better at all.

  • @ballowers100 i know that, but you didnt answer my question.

  • @valmanzar16

Because their engine is totally new and has been in development for years. I've heard that it scales very well. Also, they might've found a way to make it more efficient, as in it has a higher graphics quality for less power. I don't know what the features are however if they continued with 3, consoles wouldn't be able to run it (this), so they probably can scale it better.

  • So im guessing g this is not a game...sigh :l

  • it's like prototype 17 XD

  • if only it had better graphics

  • @kestazas Yeah, what Zetrox2k said.

  • Just sad to see reality like this is held back due to consoles and gamers who don't know how to effectively create a powerful PC for under $600 that can run majority of games at high settings.

  • @AuRevoirTune Now how in the bloody hell do you create a PC that runs Crysis 2 at high settings, under 600 bucks? There's no way on earth that's happening, not with these prices.

  • @Vmt16 Like I said, 'MAJORITY' as in most except probably Crysis, Crysis 2, Metro 2033, Witcher 2 and a few others on high. Though, if you got a good price on a GPU you could run Crysis 2 and Witcher 2 on high settings, though not maximum. You can easily make a PC under $600 that has a GTX 460 including price or OS. Not including OS if you already have an OS (most do) you could make a nice build for $600 with a GTX 560 Ti or HD6950.

  • @AuRevoirTune are you serious.......you trolling bro.........a stock 6950 2gb is gonna cost you between 280-300 dollars, and if you don't wanna bottleneck your gpu, you gonna have to chuck up another 250 for a decent processor i recommend the i5 2500k as well as a decent PSU, i would recommend a corsair, at least 8gb of ram and a case plus a motherboard that has crossfire or sli support for future upgrades. For a build ur speaking of, your gonna have spend a 1000 dollars easy

  • @tubintheweb1 Uh, are you serious dude? First off, you can get a GTX 460 for $150 or a GTX 560 Ti for $185, GTX 560 Ti is better than the HD 6950 unless you got one that can unlock, which I doubt you can now. You don't need a i5 2500k, you can easily overclock a i3 or i5 to not bottleneck. PSU's aren't expensive for a good 700w or so one that will last with brand name. You only need 4gb, you can go for 6gb if you'd like and ram is REALLY cheap to get a 1600 or more one.

  • @AuRevoirTune WTH!!!! I hope your not talking about 1gb 560 Ti or 6950 for that matter, if you plan to play games like this game in the next two years, why would you waste money on a card that has 1gb of virtual memory, secondly the 2gb models cost around 250-300 period no bullshit, secondly, a good psu with a good wattage and amperage is gonna cost you anywhere from 150-200 dollars. No way you can build what you where saying for 600 dollars......ur lying out ur ass

  • @tubintheweb1 You do know dedicated memory for a GPU only matters if you plan to go eyefinity/multiple displays right? It has nothing to do with the power of the card for most people, since most people have 1 GPU. A SeaSonic Gold X650 PSU will cost you $140, but that isn't even required for that setup, you can run it for less than 650w. It's not hard to build a good build for under $600, just need to know what you're doing.

  • resolution and rendering effects are done by virtual memory. This video that we watched just now took 3 GTX 580s to play at a stable frame rate. IF you plan to play games like this in the future you will not waste money on such a low end PSU and a 1gb gpu,ahh well if people wanna limit themselves go right ahead ......I know at least on my rig, i can easily crossfire 2 GPUs and add another couple gigs for the future with my PSU. Random Trivia 3 580 = ? memory you do the math....

  • @tubintheweb1 This is a demo meant to display the best possible rendering effects, you won't need that much memory unless you go eyefinity or multiple displays like I said, 1gb will be efficient, a GTX 560 Ti is better than HD 6950 otherwise. Like I said, you could get a better CPU for the cost of the one they had. Also, this is a $600 gaming PC, including the OS's price. Can't expect to have it all for that price. It will last you a good amount of years.

  • @AuRevoirTune First of all the 6950 and 560Ti are practically equal, and if you flash the 6950, it pretty much becomes a 6970, which means 6950> 560TI, secondly, rendering effects essentially increase the amount of memory you use. Fully maxing out a game like this will use over 1 gb of memory. IF you think this game is using less than 1 gb of memory. Then i guess this conversation is done.

  • @tubintheweb1 I know, but a GTX 560 Ti is still a bit better usually. I already said I doubt you'll get a GPU that can flash to 6970 since only the first batches were flashable. Again, this is only a demo, not an actual game, the actual game wouldn't require 2gb of ram, it's called optimization. They don't care about optimization for demos since it's about showing off the full power of the engine, not what the end user can use.

  • @tubintheweb1 gpus in crossfire / SLI don't use the sum of their RAM, they distrib gpu work

  • @AuRevoirTune actually thats wrong bf3 uses 1.5gb of the gpu's memory on highest settings that is confirmed by dice so you need a 2gb gpu to run on highest settings

  • @calumknight1984 Again, I'm talking about a $600 PC including cost of OS for gaming and a HD 6950 costs too much to be efficient. GT 550 Ti is good performance for a good price.

  • @tubintheweb1 Google How To Build A Kick-Ass Crysis 2 PC For Under $600 and the first result should be one from GeForce that will even give you a good build, but you can still build a better build than that for under $600 if you try hard enough, but still a quality build that will run stuff.

  • @AuRevoirTune you can unlock all gpu's its simple bios flash your referring to those with dual bios so if anything did go wrong you flip a switch to the backup default bios but you can still do it without that feature at your own risk, not sure if they still sell them though.

  • @calumknight1984 The only GPU I know that has that is PowerColor's PCS++ that got discontinued before, don't know if it got recontinued. The only GPU that was flashable were the early HD 6950's to HD6970's. Unless you're referring to overclocking, then obviously you can do that.

  • @AuRevoirTune nope to "unlock" the 6950's gpu core to turn it into a 6970 its a scarily easy bios flash using atiflash tool (or something like that cant remember the name google it you'll find it). And that goes for ALL gpu's derived from a more powerful one, to get the lower down parts they shutdown parts of the gpu's for multiple reasons, maybe for yield reasons or faulty parts (hence the risk) etc. You can flash any gpu you want to that meets that criteria at your own risk

  • @AuRevoirTune the one your referring to was the first amd 6950's by the way, they all came with dual bios (kind of a gift from amd) ive got one but after flashing it to a 6970 it started overheating so i flashed it back to the old bios, maybe if i can find a better cooler for it i may try it again.....

  • @tubintheweb1 Crossfire and SLI is a waste of money, the money you waste getting crossfire you can just get a new GPU after a good amount of years and will have better end results since crossfire and SLI tend to have issues with a few games, but even then, most Mobo's now have crossfire and SLI support. You obviously don't know how to build a proper PC, or even know the cost of equipment if you think a GPU will run you $300 and that 8gb is needed.

  • @tubintheweb1 For $600 you can make a good fucking PC to play any game on max settings you fool.

  • @ballowers100 Thats just a flat out lie, you can't play BF3 maxed out with AA on high in 1080p without at least spending about 400-500 for a gfx card. My you would have to have a 6990 to max everything across the board or one GTX 590. Im talking consistent frames above 60fps is not doable maxed out without these two cards. my 6950 gets only 35fps on ULTRA, which is pretty much unplayable in multiplayer. But whatever keep telling lies if you must. Dam troll

  • @tubintheweb1 £250 amd 6950 running bf3 max settings solid 50-60fps not 1 minute ago, do more research

  • @calumknight1984 thats just not true with MSAA and AF turned on with everything on ultra the 6950 gets about 35 fps, without MSAA and Af, you can get about 60fps. But maxed out means cracking all the options on, not just choosing what you want to use and don't.

  • @tubintheweb1 wrong ive just been playing it with msaa and af turned on a nice steady 50-60fps and I am talking about EVERYTHING set to ultra or max settings. Dunno if its a newer set of drivers than whatever youve seen it running on or maybe better cpu/more memory but the 6950 does in fact run bf3 at max settings a nice 50-60fps. I even had motion blur on which i usually turn off because i hate, it didnt really make much of a difference

  • @calumknight1984

Core i7 2600K@4500Ghz 8gb and single GTX580 here. On ultra with MSAA on it runs at 40-45-50 fps with drops to 35 and even lower in heavy load scenes. 99% load on GPU in MSI afterburner so it is the limits of GTX580. Playing on Ultra with MSAA turned off on 45-(B2K maps)-60-75 and up to 100+ depending on the map. But with MSAA turned on it is almost always below 50 on any map. Res. 1920*1080.

So its hardly possible that you run BF2 on fps you mentioned on ultra

  • @87fixxxer well i do and if i find the damn cable for my phone id record it with the fps renderred in the corner for all to see after showing my setup. Might have something to do with having gpu cores unlocked (just the cores its at stock 6950 clocks though to avoid overheat issues i was having, so not a full unlock i doubt its making that amount of difference). MSAA turned on it drops to 40ish under moments of high loads but stable 50-60 rest of the time

  • @87fixxxer like i said its prob more to do with a later driver set than anything else performance has notably changed from when bf3 first came out, although as mentioned that was also due to memory usage and the following upgrade in that department

  • @87fixxxer not sure if im explaining the gpu well enough :S, its got the cores unlocked stock its 1408 cores but ive unlocked it to 1536 cores. Its at the stock 6950 clocks though would that make the difference? Never really noticed if it made any difference or not, jsut kind of did it after trying it entirely with a 6970 bios but overheated so tried that bios didnt notice a change but couldnt be bothered changing it back so left it.......

  • @calumknight1984

Yes it would make noticable difference in performance. But still as what i saw from many benchs even 6970 is slower in Battlefield 3 than 580. Though cant tell how its now with new drivers for ati and last BF3 small patch wich optimizes game for 7*** ATI architecture.

  • @ballowers100 sigh looks like you forgot the psu, motherboard, case, fans, operating system, cd/dvd drive, usb attachments, thermal paste for cpu, NIC card, etc...

if your talking about building a computer from scratch ur missing alot of components. That goes well over 600, but ok you keep dreaming.

lets add: 100 for your cpu, 60 for your ram, 150(suspect) for your gpu, 120 for HDD, cheap case for 100 bucks, a decent psu will be 150, internal dvd drive 30 bucks, windows150 already 860 bucks

  • @tubintheweb1 not to mention i didn't even include everything like usb attachments or a NIC card if you plan to use a ethernet cord, or fans if they don't come with the case, as well as thermal paste for your cpu. Ahh well you can get away saying that to someone who hasn't put a pc together before, but not me.

  • @tubintheweb1 I already have a case, fans, psu, motherboard, thermal paste, usb attachments, NIC card and the OS I pirate that so it's free.

  • @ballowers100 Well, you're an upstanding citizen aren't you.

Your parents must be so proud.

  • @tubintheweb1 phenom 965 3.4ghz quad core cpu (more cores the better frostbite 2.0 scales the more cores you have, 3 or above preferably), 8gb mem (bf3 needs this i had 4gb and the game lagged hasnt lagged since i was advised to upgrade to 8gb), amd 6950 2gb. BF3 every setting maxed out runs 50-60fps and i was just playing it not 10 minutes ago

  • @Vmt16 For $600 you can make a good gaming PC to play any game on max graphics.

  • I hope they release Samaritan as a real game someday, looks awesome.

  • is this rendered in real-time? or is it just pre-rendered?

  • @GoldBasicFriend real time i believe

  • Everything Always looks good in Trailers.. funny thing xD

  • @Mabswer This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards you fool it is a game demo as it is not completed it is not a cut-scene.

  • Son of a bitch games look so good now

Maybe movie industry might use these engine to create films, much economic

  • @Finky27 I doubt it, since all films that are CGs are pre rendered and these "game" engines are run in real time... plus hollywood filmmakers will make more money if they make their own CGs...

  • @PunkedPenguin cool

  • I can see now that this was done while working on Bulletstorm, not new unreal, question is did they start working on new Unreal when they finished Bulletstorm...hmm i bet they did ,but does anyone know more info on new Unreal game

  • @PunkedPenguin @kestazas Yeah, it is actually game play graphics. Why would Unreal showcase their new graphics engine with a CG, out-of-engine trailer? These are in-engine, playable graphics with fixed camera movements. Every game out now does it. It's not a new thing. Get with it.

  • @DJCompoz my bad, cheers dude.

  • @DJCompoz pls learn about the engine engine is not a graphics it's the calculations on series of codes like how water works waves ect so jeah it is CGI on unreal 3 engine and no this is not game play graphics

  • @kestazas Dude the Samaritan Demo is a REAL TIME demo. meaning its been rendered in real-time, on actual hardware. so no its not a pre-rendered video that you have incorrectly described as CGI.

So please learn about game engines because yes this is gameplay graphics...

  • It will be cool to see gameplay because there's games out there that already have these graphics in trailer form (like this) .. looking good though.

  • @PunkedPenguin Just to let you know this is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards not a cut-scene it is a demo of a game as it is not completed.

  • Comment removed

  • @RavageCobra This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards you fool it is a game demo as it is not completed.

  • @ballowers100 Again, IT ISN'T A GAME. It's just showing what the new engine can do. They even said it themselves it isn't a game.

  • @ballowers100 For the last time, THIS IS NOT A GAME THEY'RE WORKING ON. It's just gameplay of the engine showing it what it can do. I don't know what the fuck your prepubescent mind is thinking, but I'm not wasting my life like you arguing over something as simple as this to a child. Stupid. Fucking. Cunt.

  • @RavageCobra It is still a game even if it is not completed.

  • Speaking at DICE Summit 2012, reported by Develop, Epic founder Tim Sweeney said the technical wizardry of the Samaritan tech demo, which was running in Unreal Engine 3, required 2.5 teraFLOPS to run, LOLOLOLOL

  • I'd say that Metro Last Light looks pretty similar to this demo graphically, will love to see the finished product.

  • Anyone else thought of Inception when hearing the background?

  • Hay rumores de que la Wii U puede correr este motor o.O

  • @THUNDERCRUSHER De hecho no son rumores, ya han confirmado varias veces que Wii U es capaz de correr este motor y el CryEngine 3 a la perfeccion :D

  • not bad as CGI and no this not game play... and the hero so stupid no challenge fighting the "bad guys" thats boring and when he got lock chain w/e in his way his bad assnes ends cuz with all his superpowers he needs to weld that thing for hours and newer get it open I think he gave up there

  • @kestazas Just to let you know this is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards not a CGI or cut-scene.

  • dear god please let this become a actual game

  • @TheFoxshot This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards it is a demo of a game as it is not completed but still playable.

  • you have to take the power of 10(!) playstations or xboxes to get such a grafic ;)

  • I want they make a game

  • @MrRonnieJamesDio This is a game it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards.

  • Deus Ex??????????????????????

  • Still waiting on a real game ;)

  • Sick..cant wait till 2014

  • Config ????

  • Is that liam nelson? No wonder why hes awesome

  • Be glad when consoles catch some what up with PC's

  • @SpecOp85

Same, but a year after the new Xbox comes out they'll be another 2 generations behind :| This is the first gen I can think of where they're going to be properly out-done by PC's.

  • WHAM!!!!..... AM READY FOR ROUND 2

  • He seems to be a good character, definetly much better than Marcus Fenix. I wish this was more than a demo, but a future game for next gen consoles.

  • @zesedentario Just to let you know this demo is a game a game demo that is since it is not completed it is actual gameplay rendered in real time on 3 high end graphic cards.

  • why we havent seen graphichs like that? because developers are more focused on the old console harware than the modern harware if consoles didnt exist who knows maybe we alredy have close to reality graphichs

  • Games would already look like this if they would be only made for PC and for max 3 year old PC's. I'm 100% sure i'd run this demo on my 2 years old laptop with 200 fps simply by turning tessalation off.

  • Sadly you won't see any of this if the main focus for the developer is a console

  • @AllonNL Next gen consoles...

Current gen consoles catches on fire when watching these graphics.

  • @TonyMontanaAlva The best part is, this is running on current-gen PC parts.

  • @TonyMontanaAlva

it's funny cause uneal annouced this wont even be able to run on next gen consoles, though this was done ona pc, i guess console gamers just dont understand power

  • @TonyMontanaAlva PC's yawn

  • @R3leaZ

The GTX 580 is only.. 1.7TFlops or so, but the 7970 is only ~40% faster and it's something like double the TFlops. Nvidia and AMD GPU's aren't the same so comparing them directly isn't really possible.

  • just saw a article with talking with epic game and they said next xbox would have to 10 times as powerful in all aspects to run this at 1080p 30 fpsand the development kits they have of next xbox right now is only 6x more powerful then 360 and that there trying to convince microsoft it needs to be more powerful

  • beatiful game fantastic unreal engine

  • so what this video wants to tell me is that this awesome shit is ingame graphics!? o.O Cuz if not, then cool... but nothing special cuz it's not like there haven't been awesome animations like this before...

  • @MNFilms91

This is awesome because it's rendered in real time, not a pre-rendered scene iirc (it's 'gameplay' in a sense, not a cutscene).
