@kevsol2 When you first install it the bass is way to high but you can use the Equalizer that belongs to the Software to make footsteps louder. It is pretty easy you just have to amplify the frequencies from 1k - 16k Hz :)

You can also make equalizer profiles to switch between for example "Dubstep" to "CoD". That helps a lot because the sound settings for Games will suck for Music :)

I got these headphones for christmas, and they are wicked. But I do have something to say. They are fairly unevenly, uncomfortable? I mea, like the left ear cupfits like a glove, and the right one doesn't has the same ammount of cushin in the left ear much. The 3d surround sounds just pure..awesome. But please, when you make another pair of headphone, make them soft. Lastly, the drivers for Windows 7 32-Bit are faulty. The program loads up, and doesn't work. Pointer goes circular over it. Yes, with the Tactic3D Alpha and Sigma you do not need a separate X-Fi (or THX) card. You DO have to use them in USB mode though to use the voice effects as the USB dongle IS a full featured sound card that works with your PC to create the effects that are part of the THX TruStudio Pro audio suite. - Ryan

@lolipopus I have the Sigma headphones, and from what I learned using them the USB does in fact make the audio sound MUCH better when on Skype calls with friends and listening to music.

The USB difference is essentially that the USB dongle will act as a sound device for you. This means you will NOT be using motherboard audio, but actually the sound card (in this case it's the USB device). By removing the audio path off of the motherboard audio you're going to get a cleaner sound path for both voice and your game or entertainment audio (especially if you're using a motherboard with low-end onboard sound). It really does make a very big difference. - Ryan

oh i forgot to say that i read you can just bypass the headphone amplifier and just hook up the headset directly but no one mentions any type of volume control. theese things have a volume control but i dont have mine to test that on. andsome say the volume is not as loud as they want it with this method. im not concern about the mic not working on the ps3 because i have a ps3 eye so thats my mic. aside from that if anyone wonders yes i will use them on my comp hahaha

looks like best sollution for the ps3 gamers is to just plug it in to the sound systems headphone jack or the tvs. their is a another option, the price ranges on what device you end up getting look up ( headphone amplifier ) simpler one would be the one powerd through USB. ull just need a Y connection (from the female red and white to a male headphone end) then hook up the headphone amp and then the headset. ill be doing this myself lol but for now ill use my sound system its next to me anyways

aww no ps3 support? that sucks mine are getting here this fri that was the reason i got themfor the ps3. this is pretty lame at least an adapter of some sort :-( :::: I got them because of the thx hilight (meaning i know ill have bad ass sound from theese things.) so im guessing the only option is pluging them into whatever device the ps3 is hooked up too that has a headphone jack :( guess ill post any solution i have cause im not the only one that wants theese awesome headphones on the ps3

@3D1It They support 3D Surround...a step above 5.1 or 7.1. The headset will take 5.1 and 7.1 streams from the games (be sure to enable these when playing with the Sigmas or Alphas!) and will place them in virtual space on the headphones. (cont.)

Think of traditional 5.1 and 7.1 systems as a RING of speakers around you. Think of 3D Surround as a SPHERE of sound around you.

@joakim08050805 The Alpha headset is only designed to work with a PC or a device with an analog input such as a media player. The omega will be able to work wirelessly with a PS3. It will be coming out early next year.
