Gurren Lagan was better, but this anime is pretty good! But they both are different, like alot... Such as no one in Gurren Lagan had powers, they used machines and weapons. They rocked cause they kicked ass! Mainly the only real similarity is the animation, that's close to all.

Since everyone else is comparing it to Gurren Lagann, I guess I might as well. This was a great, over the top anime, just like Gurren Lagann. However, while I will always love Needless, Gurren Lagann takes the cake, being even more over the top than Needless. It isn't easy to top destroying Galaxies on the ridiculous scale...

Still, this goes on my favorites list, taking a nice second.
