And I thought I had it bad with 2' of water in my apt. bldg. basement....The Hudson River was as high as I have ever seen it! Good luck to everyone affected by this "500 year" storm! I hope the Carrot Barn survived.....a great place!
Does anyone know if the Romanians, Pauline and Nico, who have the farm stand on Route 145 around Livingstonville, are OK, where they might have gone, how to reach them? We are so concerned for our dear friends and send love and prayers to everyone in the area who is affected by this tragedy.
Fabulous job telling our story of destruction. Homes, churches and Libraries destroyed. Money to rebuild will be hard to come by but the American Spirit will flourish
Excellent video, this brought me to tears, I have been to Schoharie several times to visit my sister and grew to love the little town. Hearing and reading does nothing like seeing. I know the people of this small town will carry on and make it even better, and we are praying for them. Thank You for this video.
I finally was able to let go and sob uncontrollably. I live in Brooky Hollow, 3 miles south of Middleburgh in the rocky, wooded hills. We had extensive damage, not to the house, but to the road, the streams, washed out our driveway culvert bridge, marooned us for 2 days. No power. No water. No phone. We are the lucky ones. So many of our neighbors and friends lost everything. Our community is hurting, but pulling together. Thanks to everyone who is helping. Thanks for the video. --Greg
Thank you so much for making this vid. I know that other places have it bad to but ppl tend to forget the small towns and concentrate on the bigger ones. So many ppl in Schoharie County have lost everything. My heart just breaks for them.
I hope you don't mind but I am posting this on my facebook. IF you do just let me know & I will remove it.
you did a great job with this video and your right we will rebuild and we will make sure that our city is back to the way it used to be. if anyone needs any help with anything let me know. i live right in esperance and i would love to help anyone who needs it.
Hang in there. I am from Rotterdam and although all I got was a flooded basement and 34 hours without power, Rotterdam Junction , the stockade and scotia didn't fare so well. Anybody who can volunteer or make donations should do so.
Thank you for this video ...As a resident of Schoharie county , Its sooo essential for people to the absolute devastation cause by that bitch Irene, and although the rain and flo ding has stop , our need for help is vital. Many people have suffer total losses and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Think of not only just adult resident but imagine having to explain to your child/children that they have no home, clothing, and bear essential such as toilet paper . SPREAD LOVE N HELP
