I think Quaristice finally "clicked" with me a few days ago. It's amazing how Autechre records start out sounding really weird and challenging and then after a couple of years they sound accessible.

that they wrote a program which then became sentient and started creating tracks based on it's own artistic vision and taste. this track is so alien. spectacular.

What I like about this track on Quaristice is that it takes ya back to the sound of Draft 7.30 and other tracks of old. But it mixes in perfectly with the flow of this mostly experimental album and carries on long enough for the knocking sound to set in.
